Abstract

The need and demand for reliable telecommunication services is one of the most important needs of today’s society. One way to realize this need is to use fiber optic services as a data transmission medium from the center of the provider to customer’s house. The purpose of this study was to assist the field team to check the condition of the device before and after recovery when there are disturbance in fiber optic service. Using Field Support Management and XShell 7 application can resolve and make it easier to identify and monitor if there are disturbances that occur in fiber optic service. The disturbance or interference that occurs can be in the form of a broken fiber optic cable, or a problem with the ONT device on the user side. The desired power receive limit is -27 dBm, because the power received will affect the quality of data service obtained on the user side.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a virus that attacks the respiratory system, has a negative impact on health. The impact of the pandemic is the reduced number of tourists visiting the island of Bali, making sources of income very limited. This directly has a detrimental impact on hotel managers in Bali. With the policy of reducing the number of employees, it is clearly detrimental to all parties and we can see that several hotel facilities have been damaged, one of which is in the garden. In this final project, a garden watering system based on the Internet of Things was designed using ESP8266. This system works according to a programmed watering schedule, rain sensor readings, and soil moisture sensors. The tool will water the garden when the time conditions are met, the rain sensor detects the absence of rain around the park and also when the relay is active, it flows voltage to the solenoid valve to open the water flow to the Sprinkler. Then the watering data will be sent to the Thingspeak cloud which will also be accessible by applications on smartphones. Monitoring information will be displayed on the LCD and also the application on the smartphone. An IoT-based automatic hotel garden watering system prototype using ESP8266 is able to run according to design.

Abstract

The computational load and implementation costs of a system are affected by its complexity. The Fast Fourier Transform(FFT).algorithm use in an OFDM system necessitates intensive calculations, which affects the computational load and system complexity. There is a Very Fast Fourier Transform(VFFT) algorithm which has lower complexity than the FFT, and can replace FFT with Floating-Point accuracy. The aim of this study is to determine the performance of the OFDM system by using the FFT and VFFT algorithms over the AWGN channel, based on parameter value of BER vs. Eb/No. According to the simulation results, show that the OFDM (FFT) system has a better BER value, where when Eb/No reaches 6 dB the BER value is less than 10-2, while the OFDM(VFFT) system with a BER value is 10-2, but still has almost the same trend. This is because there is non uniform row gain in the OFDM(VFFT) system. However, with this weakness, OFDM(VFFT) can minimize the complexity of the OFDM system.

Abstract

The signal that arrives at the receiving end is the sum of the various transmissions passed by the signal (multipath) which is influenced by the channel so that there is signal interference. Many innovations have been made so that the received signal can have high security, one of which is spread spectrum with a dual access scheme to increase the ability of many spectrum users in a limited number without disturbing one another. This simulation was tested with the aim of spreading the spectrum with different code lengths for the same bit length of information, and observed from the change in the BER value obtained from the MATLAB 2018a simulation results to find out how the barker code performance on the frequency selective fading channel on a single user. The analysis of this research is obtained from the simulation results in the form of a graph that shows the BER value compared to Eb/No. The BER value shown by the barker code performance on the flat fading channel, which is compared based on the existing flat theory, shows the graph trend and the BER value generated from the simulation is close to the theoretical flat BER value. The performance of the barker code on the frequency selective fading channel is carried out by varying the number of multipath components 7, 5, and 3. The simulation results show that multipath 3 is the best with the smallest bit error value compared to multipath 7 and 5. Barker code performance is strongly influenced by the number of multipath components, the more the number of multipath components, the more performance of the barker code bit error, and vice versa.

Abstract

The existence of a radio frequency spectrum is regulated by the state as stated in Government Regulation number 53 of 2000, which is a limited natural resource that has strategic value in the operation of telecommunications. And the utilization of the radio frequency spectrum as a natural resource needs to be carried out in an orderly, efficient and appropriate manner so as not to cause harmful interference. Denpasar Class I Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Center (Balmon Denpasar) as one of the UPT (Technical Service Units) of the Directorate General of SDDPI has the task of carrying out supervision and control in the field of radio frequency spectrum use in the Bali region. This study aims to be able to carry out supervision and observation of the radio frequency spectrum through observation (Ocupansy). Seeing the scope of the existing problems, this practical work report will provide the following problem boundaries: Observation of the occupation of the radio frequency spectrum through observation, measurement of technical parameters and law enforcement. There are complaints of disturbances on the radio frequency 5625 MHz for weather radar by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Region III Denpasar caused by the use of the 5 GHz band frequency by ISPs using wireless LAN.
