Abstract

The myth of Badawanganala believed by the people of Bali is found on Lontar Adiparwa, but in Serangan Island it has its own version, adapted to the present context. With the global influence, the local culture is slowly eroding, as in Serangan Island, namely reclamation. Reclamation occurred in 1994, causing changes in the life cycle both on land and sea; the marine life was damaged, due to the greed of rulers. Badawangnala myth, constructed in Pura Batu Api is believed to neutralize and reconstruct patterns of harmonious and prosperous behavior. The research objective is to understand the meaning and function of Badawanganala oral myth in Serangan Island. The theory used in this research includes the narrative discourse theory, the theory of mythology, transformation theory, and the theory of semiotics. The research method is qualitative with qualitative and interpretative descriptive analysis techniques. The primary data are taken from informants purposively and the secondary data are from the study of documents. The collecting of data is done through observation, interviews and document study. The structural analysis of the text is started from the text of the Bedawangnala myth of Adiparwa then Medang Kemulan, and the text spoken by indigenous leaders, bendesa adat of Serangan. The text is associated with linguistic intrinsic elements that build up the myth of Badawangnala in Serangan Island particularly on its characterizations The research findings are strengthening of the cultural attitudes and behaviors of the Serangan community to defend their rights, and the younger generations are able to promote solidarity through ritual, that is odalan (temple ceremony), and Batu Api Temple is the implementation of strength and confidence in the ritual policy.

Abstract

Carrying out accompaniment by sharing during the month of Ramadan is an activity conducted by the Sharia Economics Student Association of STAI Denpasar Bali as a form of compassion and a Muslim obligation to share blessings with the needy, as well as to serve the community by addressing one of the needs of orphans at the Tunas Bangsa Washliyah orphanage. The orphans at the orphanage require assistance and loving care as a form of attention and motivation in their daily lives. Therefore, STAI Denpasar students implement accompaniment through a strategy of observation, organization, and activities, followed by an evaluation to understand the response of the orphans and stakeholders who participated in meeting their needs. As a result of the accompaniment, the orphans feel motivated by the attention from the surrounding community, fostering a sense of togetherness, a spirit of sharing, and promoting STAI Denpasar Bali's concern for others.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the teaching and learning process of the subject of faith and morality (akidah akhlak) still relies predominantly on print media such as textbooks and largely employs lecture-based teaching methods. The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) To determine the difference in learning outcomes in faith and morality between students using video learning media and those using print media; 2) To assess the extent of the contribution of video learning media to the improvement of learning outcomes in faith and morality among students who study using print media. This research follows a quantitative approach, specifically a quasiexperimental design known as Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results of the study indicate that: 1) There is a difference in learning outcomes in faith and morality between students in the experimental and control groups, with tvalue = 2.249 > ttable = 1.677 at a significance level of 0.05. 2) The contribution of the learning model to students' learning outcomes in faith and morality is 54%, while the remaining 46% is influenced by other factors not included in this study.

Abstract

The aim of the service is to provide solutions to problems found in the assisted locations, especially in nahwu learning activities at Madrasah Diniyah At-Taqwim. Assistance provided by seventh semester students at STAI Denpasar Bali to students in learning Arabic by studying Nahwu. The students learn Arabic to read the yellow book. In studying Arabic, students must be able to understand the meaning. Students at the Madrasah Diniyah At-Taqwim Islamic Boarding School are still weak in mastering Arabic, while these students are not interested in learning Arabic, because they have difficulty understanding. Students learn to read the yellow book traditionally by memorizing, while not all students are able to memorize. The service method in the role of nahwu learning assistance is the participatory action research method, starting with observation, planning, implementation and evaluation. Mentoring is carried out by empowering teachers according to their competencies and motivating and monitoring activities so that teachers and students can carry out the Nahwu learning process. The teacher is able to instruct and demonstrate in learning Nahwu using cooperative learning methods, so that he is able to show that students are interested in learning Nahwu in Arabic.
