Abstract

The ongoing advancement of technology in the era of digitalization has brought about significant transformations in all domains, including media. Multiple mass media corporations are vying to transition from traditional to digital systems in order to maintain their ability to compete and survive in the face of the increasing convergence of media. Media businesses are required to ensure that there are repercussions for delivering news in both hard news and soft news formats promptly, accurately, and engagingly. The purpose of this study is to investigate and describe the existence and professionalism of Indonesian sports journalists in the digitalization and media convergence era. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach. The six journalists were requested to express their experiences and perspectives by means of an open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The gathered replies were subsequently examined utilizing the methodologies and instruments of Narrative analysis. In conclusion, sports journalists must be proficient in multimedia, able to swiftly adapt to new situations, have high moral standards, be able to interpret sports data, and be able to maintain their professionalism in the face of the challenges posed by the digital age and the convergence of media. Competitors will always find a way to beat out those lacking in soft skills and IT knowledge. Additionally, it is undeniable that sports writers cannot survive without engaging with audiences and sports fans via various internet platforms, including social media.

Abstract

Physical fitness is defined as the body's ability to perform daily physical activities without feeling excessively tired. This study aimed to determine the contribution of physical activity to physical fitness in children with intellectual disabilities in Semarang. This study used a correlational research type and a purposive sampling technique. The sample criteria in this study included children with special needs classified as intellectual disabilities with an IQ of 50-70 in grades 4, 5, and 6 of elementary school-aged 10-12 years with a total of 50 students. This research instrument used a physical activity questionnaire Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C) and physical fitness using the Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI) for intellectual disabilities. Data analysis used SPSS version 26 with normality, linearity, and Pearson correlation tests. The study’s results found that a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 and a Pearson correlation value of 0.243 had a positive relationship and a fairly strong relationship level and contributed 25.9% of physical activity to physical fitness. The higher the physical activity, the more positive impact it will have on the physical fitness of children with intellectual disabilities in Semarang. Physical activities such as aerobic exercise programs that are designed to be fun and interactive can increase participation in physical activity and physical fitness in children with intellectual disabilities. Further research suggestions can add analysis to other variables that affect physical fitness such as diet, sleep quality, and stress levels to provide a deeper understanding.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is the low ability of the sickle kick in the Melayi Sakti school of Pekalongan City. This study aims to Analyze the effect of aquatic plyometric training (aquatic plyometric knee tuck jump and aquatic plyometric double leg bound). Analyze the impact of high and low body reaction time on the ability of the sickle kick. Analyze the interaction between aquatic plyometric training and body reaction time on the ability of the sickle kick. This study uses an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The data analysis technique used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), with a significance level of 0.005. The population in this study amounted to 28 silat athletes, with a purposive sample technique and specific criteria to be used as samples. The results of the study showed (1). There is a difference in the APT knee tuck jump method and high body reaction speed with a sig value of 0.01 <0.05. (2). There is a difference in the APT knee tuck jump method and low body reaction speed with a sig value of 0.02 <0.05. (3). There is a difference between the APT double leg bound method and high body reaction speed with a sig value of 0.00 < 0.05. (4). There is a difference between the APT double leg bound method and high body reaction speed with a sig value of 0.00 < 0.05. (5). There is an interaction between the aquatic plyometric training method and body reaction speed with a sig value of 0.035 < 0.05. The conclusion is that aquatic plyometric double-leg bound training is more effective for athletes with high body reaction speed to increase the speed of the sickle kick. In contrast, aquatic plyometric double-leg bound training is more suitable for low body reaction speed. Coaches are advised to adjust the training model to the athlete's abilities and provide additional training to increase the speed of the sickle kick.
