Abstract

Transplantasi karang merupakan salah satu cara merehabilitasi karang. Transplantasi karang merupakan suatu teknik penanaman karang baru dengan metode fragmentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan karang genus Acropora, Montipora dan Stylophora. Penelitian ini dilakuakan selama 3 bulan, yaitu pada bulan April hingga Juni 2018. Pertumbuhan karang diukur setiap 2 minggu sekali dengan menggunakan alat jangka sorong. Pengamatan pertumbuhan pada fragmen karang dilakukan dengan mengukur dimensi pertumbuhan yang terdiri dari pertambahan lebar dan tinggi karang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karang genus Montipora memiliki tingkat pertumbuhan paling tinggi sebesar 1,40 cm kemudian Acropora dengan tingkat pertumbuhan sebesar 1,30 cm dan Stylophora sebesar 1,00 cm. Pertumbuhan lebar karang tertinggi adalah genus Montipora sebesar 1,85 cm, Stylophora dengan nilai 1,46 cm dan yang terendah genus Acropora dengan nilai 1,29 cm. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup karang selama penelitian menunjukan karang dapat bertahan hidup selama 4 minggu dan mulai mengalami penurunan pada 2 minggu penelitian berikutnya. Secara keseluruhan karang genus Acropora dan Stylopora memiliki tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi yaitu 90 %, sedangkan karang genus Montipora memiliki tingkat kelangsungan hidup terendah yaitu 83,3%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pertumbuhan berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian/Specific Growth Rate (SGR) juvenil ikan gurami, rasio konversi pakan/Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR) dan efisiensi pakan, serta tingkat kelangsungan hidup/Survival Rate (SR) juvenil ikan gurami yang diberi pakan komersil, pakan tepung ikan, dan campuran pakan tepung ikan dengan tepung kangkung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap terdiri dari tiga perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan, dan pengambilan sampel dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Perlakuan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Perlakuan A adalah pakan komersil, perlakuan B adalah pakan buatan dengan formulasi pakan tepung ikan 50%, tepung jagung 20%, tepung kedelai 10%, dan minyak ikan 20%, terakhir perlakuan C adalah pakan buatan dengan formulasi tepung ikan 5%, tepung jagung 10%, tepung kedelai 5%, tepung kangkung 50%, dan minyak ikan 30%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian selama 60 hari didapatkan nilai pertumbuhan berat mutlak tertinggi pada perlakuan C sebesar 0.86 gram, nilai laju pertumbuhan harian tertinggi yaitu pada perlakuan C sebesar 3.40%, nilai rasio konversi pakan terbaik pada perlakuan C sebesar 1 : 2.3, nilai efisiensi pakan terbaik pada perlakuan C sebesar 43.57%, dan nilai tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi pada perlakuan C sebesar 79%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesesuaian, daya dukung dan strategi pengembangan di kawasan diperairan Pulau Pasir Putih, untuk kegiatan rekreasi pantai, berenang dan wisata lamun kategori snorkeling. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dengan analisa komperatif dan analisis SWOT. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, Pulau Pasir Putih memiliki potensi ekologis yang masih alami seperti pasir yang berwarna putih dan kondisi perairan yang jernih. Hasil yang diperoleh dari perhitungan indeks kesesuaian kawasan wisata untuk kegiatan rekreasi dan berenang adalah 86,8% atau tergolong kategori sangat sesuai (S1) , begitu juga nilai kesesuaian untuk wisata lamun kategori snorkeling tergolong kategori sangat sesuai (S1) dengan nilai 92,5%. Daya Dukung Kawasan Perairan Pantai Pulau Pasir Putih untuk kegiatan wisata rekreasi pantai sebesar 59 orang perhari, wisata berenang 27 orang perhari dan wisata lamun kategori snorkeling 136 orang per harinya. Hal tersebut dapat dibandingkan dengan jumlah pengunjung yang datang ke pulau tersebut berdasarkan pengamatan berkisar 10 orangp erhari. Analisis SWOT diperoleh 4 rencana strategi pengembangan utama pada strategi SO atau (Growth Oriented Strategy), dengan mengandalkan kekuatan untuk meraih peluang sebesar-besarnya. Dapat diartikan bahwa pemanfaatan wisata di Pulau Pasir Putih baru sebesar 4,5%, sehingga berdasarkan hasil perhitungan daya dukung masih dapat dilakukan pengembangan lagi sebesar 95,5%.

Abstract

The location for the research is decide in Sanggalangit Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. The highest production species in the coast of Sanggalangit Village, Buleleng Regency is Anchovy. The village is chosen because there are a lot of fisherman whos active to catch and do the Anchovy’s marketing. The aim of this research is to know the condition of marketing channels and analysis the marketing channels efficiency of Anchovy in Sanggalangit Village. This research is held on December 2019 until January 2020 with qualitative and quantitative methods by observation and interviews. Interviewed with the fisherman, the institution of marketing such as the collecting trader and the retailer. The share margin analysis and farmer’s share as a tool to know the marketing channels efficiency. The marketing channels that occurs in Sanggalangit Village is from the fisherman, to the collecting trader and then to the retailer, until to the customer’s hand. The share margin from this Anchovy’s marketing channels is obtained Rp. 13.000/kg where the margin from the fisherman with the collecting trader is Rp. 3.800 and the margin from the collecting trader with the retailer is obtained Rp. 9.200/kg. The amount of farmer’s share is 56,67 %. The marketing efficiency value is 15,18 %, which is mean the marketing channels efficiency of Anchovy in Sanggalangit Village is efficient.

Abstract

Lobster is one of the potential fisheries commodities and an important economic category for export. The research was conducted in December 2018 until January 2019 with objectives to determine the composition and range of sizes of lobster caught by the fishermen and the tools and methods used to catch lobsters on Canggu Beach and Yeh Gangga Beach. The method used for the data collection was survey and interview methods. Sampling was done for 2 months with 1 sampling each month. Samples were taken from the catch of the fishermen. Lobster samples were then identified by type and carapace length measurements, total length, and lobster weight. Data obtained from lobster composition were analyzed descriptively and displayed in graphs and tables, while analysis of lobster fishing methods was carried out descriptively by collecting data on types, quantities, and methods of operation of fishing gear. Results showed the composition of the types of lobsters caught on Canggu Beach were Panulirus penicillatus, P. homarus, P. versicolor, P. longipes, and P. ornatus. The catch in Canggu Beach was dominated by the type of P. homarus as much as 38% in the first data collection and as much as 39% in the second data collection. The composition of lobster catches on Yeh Gangga Beach, namely P. penicillatus, P. homarus, P. versicolor, P. longipes, and P. ornatus. The first data collection was dominated by the type of P. homarus as much as 36% and the second data collection was 46%. The caught lobster has an average carapace length below 8 cm and has a weight above the average, which was 200 grams. The type of fishing gear used to catch lobsters was a passive catch in the form of traps and nets.

Abstract

boesemani Rainbow fish (Melanotaenia boesemani) is one of the endemic freshwater ornamental fish species originating from Papua which has economic value. Rainbow fish cultivation techniques have now developed but there are not many publications so it is necessary to study the cultivation process, especially the hatchery stage. The research was conducted in August-October 2018 at the Ornamental Fish Cultivation Research Institute (BRBIH), Depok, West Java. This study aims to determine the effect of using different substrates on the rate of fertilization and hatching of Boesemani Rainbow Fish eggs. Data were collected by spawning male and female sires that had matured gonads 15 times with 3 treatments and 3 repetitions. The substrates used as media were treatment A (raffia rope), treatment B (palm fiber), and treatment C (apu-apu water plant). Water quality measurements include temperature, pH, DO. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of variance (ANOVA). Based on the measurement results, the total number of eggs with treatment A was 709 pieces, treatment B was 771 pieces, and Treatment C was 511 pieces. The highest percentage of fertilization rate was found in treatment B (98.4%±0.7). The highest percentage of hatching rate was found in treatment A (90.8%±5.6). The results of the analysis showed that the use of different substrates did not significantly affect the rate of fertilization and hatching of Boesemani Rainbow Fish eggs.

Abstract

Lovina Beach is one of the tourist attraction located in Kalibukbuk Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. Lovina Beach has coastal waters that are still very natural so that it has the potential to be used as an ecotourism area. Information regarding the carrying capacity and environmental suitability for the development of sustainable tourism in Lovina Beach has not been carried out. This study aims to determine the environmental conditions and carrying capacity, and the condition of tourist objects on Lovina Beach for the development of sustainable tourism. Data collection was carried out in January-February the a quantitative and qualitative descriptive method. Observations and measurements were carried out at three stations with different characteristics of the aquatic environment. The condition of the tourist attraction on Lovina Beach is still very natural with a very attractive beauty charm and is supported by other supporting service facilities. The condition of the tourism suitability index for the beach recreation category is included in the category according to the value of 2,4 at stations 1 and 2, and the category is very in accordance with the value of 2,7 at station 3, while the carrying capacity of the area is obtained with a value of 2.291 people/day. Abstract

Fishery activities Sardinella lemuru in the waters of the Bali Strait are the largest source of economy for fishermen in Pengambengan, Jembrana Regency, Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the lemuru fishery in the Pengambengan Fishing Port by assessing the domain of fishing techniques in fisheries management using an ecosystem approach (EAFM). The results of the assessment of the indicators of destructive and/or illegal fishing methods get a score of 3, the indicator of modification and fishing aids gets a score of 1, the indicator of fishing capacity and fishing effort gets a score of 3, the selectivity of fishing gets a score of 3, the suitability of functions and the size of the vessel according to legal documents get a score of 1 and fishing boat crew certification following regulations gets a score of 1. Based on the results of the composite score, the value obtained is 73.33 which means that the lemuru fishery in Pengambengan Fishing Port based on the fishing technique domain is good with a colored flag model light green.

Abstract

Research on tourism conformity index (IKW) and beach tourism development strategy was carried out in Munggu Beach, Munggu Village, Mengwi District, Badung. IKW data collection and questionnaire interviews were conducted in January-February 2022 with 3 IKW measurement points. The research aims to find out the value of IKW conditions and development strategies that can be used for management. The methods used are descriptive and quantitative. Primary data is based on observation of beach type parameters, beach width, beach slope, water base material, land closure, availability of clean water, and questionnaire interviews with beach visitors with purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis using IKW measurement results and SWOT analysis. Based on the calculation of IKW at 3 points, namely point I of 1,505, point II of 1,595, and point III of 1,395. The total analysis value of 1? IKW <2.0 belongs to the category of non-conformity. This is due to the weak factors that are owned, so to be developed must be done to improve management. Strategies that can be applied at Munggu Beach are WT (Weakness-Threats) strategy, such as continuing alternative tourism at Munggu Beach, involving the ekternal management of Munggu Beach and adding tourist attractions to Munggu Beach. Abstract

Seawater intrusion is the entry of seawater into the land through the soil pores. Seawater intrusion harms sanitation activities. Surabaya constitutes a city with a high population density, which leads to high demand for water that is not proportional to the water input that cause seawater intrusion. Mitigation efforts to minimize the occurrence of seawater intrusion were by planting mangrove forests which act as coastal protection systems. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality of the wells in Kenjeran and Rungkut, as well as to determine whether the presence of mangroves could affect the water intrusion mitigation. Samples were taken from 2 stations in Kenjeran and Rungkut with 3 sampling points and 3 repetitions. The parameters measured were consist of salinity, electrical conductivity, chloride, and total hardness. The samples of laboratory results were analyzed comparatively with the Kruskal Wallis test. It showed that the water in the coastal areas of Kenjeran and Rungkut was categorized as saline water with an average salinity value ranging from 3.1–7.2 ppt. Electrical conductivity values ??ranged from 6916-7993 mmhos/cm. Chloride values ??ranged from 1825-3848 mg/l. Total hardness values ??ranged from 320-1025 mg/l. Based on the values ??above, the quality of well water in both locations is classified as having experienced seawater intrusion. The existence of a mangrove forest landscape has no significant effect on mitigating seawater intrusion, this is presumably because the low percentage of mangrove cover (3.2%) cannot degrade seawater intrusion in Rungkut.
