Abstract

Evaluation of Soil Fertility Status for Soil Fertility Local Recommendation at Pajahan Village, Pupuan District of Tabanan Regency Agricultural lands plays an important role in providing human needs for foods. Agricultural lands can provide an optimal agricultural products if its have a good fertility status. This study aims to determine status of soil fertility at Pajahan Village, its whereabouts, the factors that affect soil fertility, and given local recommendations for soil fertility management at Pajahan Village. This study used soil survey and soil analysis methods with parameters of soil fertility status, namely Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), Base Saturation (BS), C-organic, total-P and total-K based on the Technical Instructions for Evaluation of Soil Fertility (PPT, 1995). Analysis of total- N and pH content were also carried out as supporting data. The results showed that Pajahan Village has two classes of soil fertility status, namely medium (L2, L3, L4) and high status (L1). The limiting factor for soil fertility status at Pajahan Village is total-P content of L2, L3, and L4. Local recommendations for soil fertility management at Pajahan Village is giving a addition of P fertilizer, N fertilizer and also addition of organic fertilizer.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Study Status of Fertility paddy Soil to Determine Instigation Balanced Fertilization Specific Location Rice Plants in Manggis District This research to determine of soil fertility status in Manggis district and make instigation balanced fertilization specific location on the rice plants accordance with of soil fertility status. This research was conducted survey and test method of soil analyzed in the laboratory of  Soil Science and Environment Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University with soil chemical properties determination CEC, Cation Saturated, N-total, P2O5, K2O, C-organic, pH and EC. Results the evaluation of soil fertility status in Manggis district, Karangasem regency consists of soil fertility status high contained on land units I, II, III, VI, and soil fertility status being medium found on land unit IV, V, and VII. Instigation of urea without organic matter much as 250 kg ha-1, with 5 tons of straw ha-1 addition of urea many as 230 kg ha-1 and 2 tons ha-1 cage fertilizer addition of urea fertilizer 225 kg ha-1. P fertilization on medium soil status much as 75 SP-36 kg ha-1, and P fertility status high 50 kg SP-36 ha-1. K fertilizer application of 50 kg ha-1. Instigation using fertilizer organic rice straw compost the equivalent of 5 tons ha-1 and 2 ton ha-1 cage fertilizer. Abstract

Soil Quality Test and Its Management Directives on Rice Cultivation in Subak Jatiluwih, Penebel, TabananThe purpose of the study was to determine the quality of the soil and the management directives for rice cultivation at the research site. This study used survey methods and soil tests in the Laboratory of Soil Science and Environment. It consists of several stages of survey management of the system by the farmers, the analysis of the soil followed by the determination of the quality of the soil and the direction of management. The result showed that land in the research site has good and medium soil quality. The location which has good qualities was in sample IV, the medium quality was in sample I, II, III, V and VI. The management directives which were recommended for the medium soil quality were the improvement of soil management system. The processor which was recommended in this research was using tractors and livestock. The recommended types of plants were the local and new rice varieties. The recommended straw management was embedded back into the ground. The use of fertilizer which was recommended was the use of urea and SP-36 fertilizers. The recommended land use intensity cropping twice a year.

Abstract

Evaluation of Soil Fertility Status at the Yeh Ho watershed of Tabanan Regency Based on Geographic Information Systems to Determine Land Management This study aims to determine the status of soil fertility in the Yeh Ho waterahed, Tabanan Regency and to determine the limiting factors for soil fertility in the Yeh Ho Watershed, Tabanan Regency. Provide fertilization directions based on the results of evaluation of soil fertility status in the Yeh Ho Watershed, Tabanan Regency and provide information in the form of a map of soil fertility status based on a geographic information system. The method used in taking soil samples in the study area is the field survey method by first making homogeneous land units obtained through overlaying several thematic maps such as soil type maps, slope class maps and land use maps then each land unit is sampled purposively. sample which is then composited. Soil samples that have been obtained are then analyzed in the laboratory for soil chemical properties including, Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), Base Saturation (BS), C-Organic Soil, P-Total, K-Total, pH. The results of the analysis of soil chemical parameters are then evaluated on the status of soil fertility based on PPT (1995).The results showed that in the Yeh Ho watershed in Tabanan Regency there were three classes of soil fertility status namely high fertility class (T) consisting of 2 namely land units IV and VII (Jatiluwih Village and Rejasa Village), and medium fertility class (S) consisting of 10 namely land units II, III, V, VI, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII and XIII (Jatiluwih Village, Penatahan Village, Wangaya Gede Village, Tangguntiti Village, Senganan Village and Dalang Village), while those with low fertility classes include 1 land unit, namely I (Desa Beraban). Two soil fertility parameters which are limiting factors are the low P-total and K-total values. Alternative management measures to overcome these two limiting factors are the addition of phosphorus fertilizer, potassium fertilizer and organic matter.

Abstract

The Effect of Semi-Organic Fertilizer Formulation on Red Spinach Populations (Amaranthus spp.L) on Yield and Changes in Inceptisol Soil Chemical Properties This study aims to determine the proper formulation of organic, inorganic and biological fertilizers and the best population to increase the production of spinach on Inceptisol soil, as well as changes in soil chemical properties after harvest. This research was conducted from December 2019 to March 2020 in Samplangan Village, Gianyar Regency, using a pot experiment. The second stage is analysis the chemical properties of soil which is carried out at the Laboratory of Soil and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with nested patterns with 5 formulations and 2 different populations with 3 replications. F0 = without fertilizer (control), F1 = (3 tons of compost + 350 kg of urea + 5 cc of biofertilizer. 1 l-1 water) hectare-1, F2 = (6 tons of compost + 300 kg of urea + 10 cc of biofertilizer. 1 1-1 water) hectare-1, F3 = (9 tons of compost + 250 kg urea + 15 cc of biofertilizer. 1 l-1 water) hectare-1, F4 = (12 tons of compost + 200 kg of urea + 20 cc of biofertilizer. 1 l-1 water) hectare-1, P1 5 plants and P2 10 plants. Treatment F2 and F3 produced the highest fresh weight compared to control in population P1, while in population P2 treatment F3 produced the highest fresh weight. Provision of semi-organic fertilizer formulations can increase the content of nutrient elements contained in the soil after harvest.

Abstract

 Evaluasi kesuburan tanah adalah proses penilaian masalah-masalah keharaan tanah dan pembuatan rekomendasi pemupukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui status kesuburan tanah dan faktor pembatasnya, serta menyusun arahan pengelolaan kesuburan lahan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei untuk pengambilan sampel tanah dan selanjutnya tanah di analisis di laboratorium. Parameter yang dianalisa adalah KTK, KB, C-Organik, P-Total, K-Total dan data pendukung seperti tekstur, kadar air dan pH tanah. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian status kesuburan tanah di Subak Kerdung dan Subak Kepaon Denpasar Selatan adalah sedang dan tinggi. Status kesuburan sedang pada SLH III (Subak Kerdung) dan IV (Subak Kepaon), sedangkan status kesuburan tinggi terdapat pada SLH I (Subak Kerdung), II (Subak Kerdung), dan V (Subak Kepaon). Faktor pembatas dalam status kesuburan tanah di Subak Kerdung dan Subak Kepaon adalah kandungan P-total dan KTK yang tergolong sedang pada SLH III dan IV. Arahan pengelolaan kesuburan tanah adalah pengembalian sisa panen atau menambahkan bahan organik kedalam tanah dan penambahan pupuk yang mengandung unsur P dalam bentuk pupuk tunggal atau pupuk majemuk.

Abstract

Evaluation Quality of Intensif Paddy Soils and Conversion Paddy Soils to Garden at Subak Kesiut Kerambitan Tabanan. This experiment conducted to evaluate intensif Paddy Soils and conversion paddy soils to garden at SubakKesiut Kerambitan Tabanan. There were two steps applied in this study including field survey to determine the research area and points soils sampling; analysis soils properties are: physic, chemistry and soils biology for get minimum data set to determine the soil quality at Laboratory of Soils and Enveronment Faculty of Agriculture Unud. The results of this study showed: the soil quality of intensif paddy soils is better than conversion paddy soils to garden, that showed with SQR at intensif paddy soil is 18 and at conversions paddy soil is 25. The limiting faktor at conversion paddy soils to garden is P available, there are less than at intensif paddy soils.

Abstract

Increased Yields Onion Plant and Changes of Soil Chemical Properties with Semiorganic Fertilization on Inceptisol Soil Tabanan. Thisexperiment to study the effects of inorganic fertilizer (P) and organic fertilizer (K) on the chemical properties as well as onion yields. A Factorial Randomized Block Design pot Experiment was conducted under Inceptisol soil conditions located at Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency. The inorganic treatments consisted of P0 (control), P1 (50kg Phonska ha-1 + 200 kg ZA ha-1), P2 (100 kg Phonska ha-1 + 150 kg ZA ha-1), P3 (150 kg Phonska ha-1 + 100 kg.ZA ha-1). The organic treatments consisted of K0 (control), K1 (2 tons ha-1), K2 (4 tons ha-1), K3 (6 tons ha-1). Plant parameters observed including: plant height (cm), maximum number of leaves, maximum number of tubers, fresh and oven dry weight of tubers and hypothetical tubers fresh yields. The observed chemical soil properties including: soil pH and CEC. All data were analyzed using variance analysis and Duncan's test (0.05). The results showed that all fertilization treatments have significant effects on most parameters observed except plant height, soil pH and CEC. The P2K2 (100 kg Phonska ha-1 + 150 kg ZA ha-1) and (4 tons ha-1) treatment resulted in the best effects on the number tubers (7.7 tubers), weight of fresh tubers (37.9 g), tubers dry weight (6.5 g) per pot respectively. The highest hypothetical yields (9.5 tons ha-1) were also found under this treatment as well as the highest soil pH (6.6) and CEC (46.8 me 100g-1 of soil).

Abstract

Study of Organic, Inorganic and Biofertilizer Formulas to Improve Some Soil Chemical Properties and Improve Yields of Spinach (Amaranthus Spp. L) on Inceptisol. The aims of experiment to find the best and environmentally fertilizer formula to improve the yield of spinach and improve some properties soil chemistry. This research was a pot experiment in a green house conducted in Tabanan. Using a nested design two factors, consisting of 5 formulas combination of organic, inorganic and Biofertilizers, and 3 types of population of spinach plants per pot. The fertilizer formula are: F0 control), F1 (3 ton compos + 350 kg Urea + 2 % Biofertilizer), F2 (6 ton compos + 300 kg Urea + 4 % Biofertilizer), F3 = (9 ton + 250 kg Urea + 6 % Biofertilizer), F4 (12 ton + 200 kg Urea + 8 % Biofertilizer) per hektar, and population factors consist of: P1 = 4 plant, P2 = 8 plant, P3 = 12 plant per pot. Each treatment was repeated 3 times so 45 experiment pots were needed. The parameters observed were: maximum plant height (cm), fresh plant weight at harvest, oven dry plant weight, soil pH, C-organic and soil CEC at harvest. The observational data were analyzed statistically, tested for variance to determine the effect of the treatment being tried. If significant effect is continued with the Duncans test of 5%. The results showed that the initial soil analysis showed low C-organic soil content, low total N-soil, low soil pH (6.3), and low soil CEC. The highest spinach plant height was achieved by F2P1 treatment of 25 cm, followed by F2P2 resulting in plant height of 23 cm. However, the highest fresh weight of full spinach is harvested at F2P2 treatment with a weight of 154 g per pot. Likewise, the best change in soil chemical properties was obtained in the F2P2 treatment.

Abstract

The formulation of chicken eggshell waste with market waste compost to increase the yield of green mustard (Brassica juncea L.). Aims to find the best and environmentally friendly organic fertilizer formula to increase the yield of green mustard and improve some soil chemical properties. This research is a pot experiment in a greenhouse, using a simple randomized block design consisting of 7 combinations. Fertilizer formulas that were tried were: F0 (without treatment), F1 = (100 kg of shell + 10 tonnes of compost), F2 = (200 kg of shell + 8 tonnes of compost), F3 = (300 kg of shell + 6 tonnes of compost), F4 = (400 kg of shell + 4 tons of compost), F5 = (500 kg of shells + 2 tons of compost), F6 = (600 kg of shells + 0 tons of compost), and each treatment was repeated 4 times. The parameters observed included: maximum plant height (cm), fresh plant weight at harvest, oven dry plant weight, soil pH, C-organic content, CEC and soil Ca content at harvest. The data were analyzed statistically, tested for variance. If the effect of the treatment had significant, then continued with the 5 % Duncans test. The results of this study indicate that the treatment has a significant effect on plant height growth, fresh weight and oven dry weight of plants, as well as changes in soil chemical properties such as: C-organic, soil CEC, and soil Ca content. The fresh plant weight was obtained in treatment F2 (9.55 g), followed by F3 (9.37 g), and F1 (9.18 g) per pot. While the highest CEC was obtained in the F2 treatment (36.31 me 100 g-1) with a soil Ca content of 7.52 me 100 g-1. The best fertilizer formula from this study was found in the F2 treatment.
