Abstract

Desa Buahan Kaja yang terletak di Kecamatan Payangan, Kabupaten Gianyar, memiliki keindahan alam dan budaya yang unik serta berbagai obyek wisata pertanian yang menarik. Desa ini sangat potensial dikembangkan menjadi obyek agrowisata untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mengembangkan agrowisata Desa Buahan Kaja melalui identifikasi potensi, pengemasan paket wisata dan paket treking, dan pelatihan sumber daya manusia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pengembangan agrowisata Desa Buahan Kaja adalah masih minimnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengembangan agrowisata dan lemahnya kemampuan sumberdaya manusia desa dalam mengemas paket wisata, menyiapkan brosur, memandu wisata, pengolahan hasil pertanian, dan pemasaran paket agrowisata. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini telah mampu memecahkan permasalahan yang dihadapi dengan menyediakan buku panduan agrowisata Desa Buahan Kaja. Melalui berbagai kegiatan pelatihan yang diadakan, pengabdian masyarakat ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menyiapkan dan mengelola agrowisata.

Abstract

Natural flowering of “Salak Gula Pasir” occures once every three months or 4 times a year, however, only oneto two of flower season succeeds to become fruit. Failure fruit-set causes the fruit harvest seasonally; partly due tothe internal water content of leaf is low. The situation is not favorable in terms of agribusiness because productionquantities accumulate only during the harvest time (on-season). Off-season flowering technology of “Salak GulaPasir” by simple dripping irrigation has been founded, gardeners, however have not yet recognised. The aim ofthis community service is to introduce that technology by means of training to the gardeners. The participantsattended the training seriously because the subject was really expected by them. After training, participants wereconvinced that they can do how to make off-season production of “Salak Gula Pasir”, moreover they expect thelocal government would provide rainwater harvesting and the required dripping irrigation installations.Keywords: salak Gula Pasir, drip, irrigation, off-season, training.

Abstract

Kerta village which located at district of Payangan, Gianyar Regency has a unique nature and culture and awide range of agriculture activities. Those are very potential to be developed into agro-tourism and in turnincreasing income and welfare of the community. The most potential of agriculture activities that can bedeveloped to be agro-tourism is citrus farming, because citrus is grown by almost all of paople at the village.The objectived of the community service was to develop citrus farming based integrated agro-tourism.Problems in developing of agro-tourism at Kerta Village were less participation of the community and lack ofhuman resources that capable in this concern including all agro-tourism activities such as packaging touractivities, tourist guiding, brochure preparation, agro-tourism and also having knowledge in cultivation ofcitrus to produce off-season fruit. The current community service has been successfully solved the problemby providing a complete guide books of agro-tourism at Kerta village which contained information aboutsomething to see, something to do, something to buy, and something to learn. Through training and conseling,the community service also increased knowledge and skills of the community in agro-tourism

Abstract

Desa Sibetan yang terletak di Kecamatan Bebandem Karangasem, telah terkenal sebagai sentra penghasil salak di Bali. Tanaman salak sudah diusahakan secara turun-temurun oleh hampir semua penduduk dan sudah tentu telah menjadi bagian penting bagi perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Disamping terkenal dengan ikon salaknya, Desa Sibetan juga memiliki panorama alam yang indah, udara sejuk dan segar, aksesibilitasnya mudah dicapai, dan memiliki berbagai jenis keanekaragaman hayati salak sehingga sangat potensial dikembangkan sebagai obyek agrowisata berbasis salak. Kegiatan pengabdian dengan skim Program Pengembangan Desa Mitra (PPDM) ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengkoleksi plasma nutfah salak yang ada di Desa Sibetan, kemudian dikonservasi menjadi Kebun Botani plasma nutfah untuk mendukung Desa Sibetan sebagai obyek agrowisata berbasis salak. Kegiatan dilakukan dari April 2017-September 2018, menggunakan pendekatan masyarakat sasaran diajak berkerja bersama-sama (working with community) dan bekerja sambil belajar (learning by doing) melalui penerapan metode Entrepreneurship Capacity Building (ECB) dan Technology Transfer (TT). Jenis kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu identifikasi dan koleksi keragaman kultivar plasma nutfah salak, pelatihan dan transfer teknologi pembuatan bibit, penanaman hasil koleksi menjadi kebun botani plasma nutfah (arboretum), dan pemeliharaan arboretum dengan menerapkan Good Agricultural Practices/GAP. Dari kegiatan telah berhasil diidentifikasi dan dikoleksi 12 jenis plasma nutfah salak yang ada Desa Sibetan, yaitu Salak Bingin, Gondok, Getih/Merah, Gula Pasir, Injin, Kelapa, Nangka, Nenas, Pade, Penyalin, Turis/Mangku, dan Sudamala. Bibit salak hasil koleksi dikonservasi dalam satu areal khusus menjadi kebun botani plasma nutfah atau arboretum, kemudian dipelihara dengan menerapkan cara budidaya yang baik dan benar bersama peserta. Abstract

KKN-PPM which carried out in Desa Sibetan, Bebandem, Karangasem aims to provide a wide space for localpeople to organizes and improves the system of management of salak agro tourism and to increases theparticipation of local communities in tourism development in Desa Sibetan through the well – packaging ofsalak agro tourism. In order to increase the income of local communities in Sibetan village, it is important toheld this community empowerment through the utilization of its potencies, and then package it, as a valuabletourism product as well as to improve the finance and the power sources of those communities, also as a supportof the tourism development in Karangasem. The targets of the activities of KKN – PPM are the agro tourismmanager and the young generations of Sibetan village. The approaching models are: 1. Participatory RuralAppraisal (PRA) Model, (2) Entrepreneurship Capacity Building (ECB) Model, (3) Knowledge/TechnologyTransfer Model. Some activities have been done in KKN – PPM program in Desa Sibetan, in order to addressthe various problems of salak agro – tourism faced by the local communities of Sibetan village, such as: Setting– up a sort of a foundation to manage the agro – tourism in Desa Sibetan, tour guide traning for the localcomunities, packaging training in how to package the salak processed products into tourism products, Englishfor tourism courses, and provide the local communities houses as home stays for the tourists.

Abstract

Identification and Characterization of Genetic Resources of Local Fruits in GianyarThe local fruits is every kinds of fruits are cultivated and developed by farmers in Bali, while the local fruit products is every types and derivative results which derived from fresh fruits or already processed. This study conducted with the aims to identify the types of genetic resources of local fruits in Gianyar, to compile the genetic resources of the local fruits based on the morphological characters and utilization, superior fruit, harvest seasons and the geographical map of the diversity distribution of the local fruits. This study was conducted in February-July 2015 throughout Sub-district in the Gianyar District, namely: Payangan, Tegallalang, Tampaksiring, Ubud, Blahbatuh, Gianyar and Sukawati. The study consists of three phases, namely; Secondary data collection, field surveys for the types of genetic resources and distribution, and identify of the morphological characters and agronomy, utilization, superior fruit, harvest seasons and the distribution map of the local fruits. The results of this study shown, was found 45 species and 41 sub species of fruits which are spread throughout Sub-districts, and the three of seeded commodities namely; Citrus, Mangoes and Papaya.

Abstract

Effect of Concentration of Growth Regulating Substances NAA and Types of Organic Fertilizer on Yield of Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L.) Citronella is widely used in the therapeutic scrub and aromatherapy industry, especially in the Province of Bali. The aromatic oil produced from the citronella plant is used for incense or aromatic candles. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of growth regulators NAA (Naphthalene acetic acid) and types of organic fertilizers on the yield of citronella plants. The treatment used consisted of two factors: the concentration of the NAA auxin hormone with the concentration of A0 = 0 ppm, A1 = 10 ppm, and A2 = 20 ppm as the first factor. The second factor is the type of fertilizer P0 = soil, P1= vermicompost 50 g and P2 = 100 g fertilizer goat manure. The results showed the interaction between the concentration of auxin NAA with the type of organic fertilizer significantly affected the number of leaves, number of tillers, and the roots fresh weight. Combination treatment A1P2 (10 ppm NAA and 100 g fertilizer goat manure) showed the highest leaf number (64.07), the highest number of tillers (11.29) and the highest fresh weight of roots (44.17 g), compared with A2P1 and A1P0 with the lowest values ??of 7.16, 41.47, and 25.4 g, respectively. NAA auxin treatment singly significant effect on leaf area and fresh weight leaf. NAA concentration of 10 ppm (A1) provides the highest leaf area (70.09 cm2) and fresh root weight (47.77 g), compared to control (A0) with the lowest value of 65.85 cm2 and 33.38 g. Organic fertilizer treatment significantly affected the fresh weight total and dry weight total. Fertilizer goat manure 100 g (P2) produce a total crop fresh weight of 147.57 g and dry weight of 64.28 g, compared to treatment with P0 and P1 with the lowest values 108.43 g and 49.99 g, respectively.

Abstract

The Effect of Planting Media and Varieties on the Yield of Melon (Cucumis melo L.) in Drip Irrigation Systems Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a fruit crop including the family Cucurbitaceae. Melon is not a plant native in Indonesia but can grow in the tropical region. This fruit is very popular in the community and is often used by hotels as a welcome fruit. Badan Pusat Statistik's (2019) data stated that melon production in Bali increased in 2019 to reach 552.00 tons. This study aimed to obtain the appropriate planting medium for melon cultivation by drip irrigation systems in a greenhouse. The treatments consisted of three types of planting media: husk charcoal media, cocopeat, husk charcoal mixture with cocopeat, and melon varieties suitable for cultivation in a greenhouse using drip irrigation. The results showed the treatment of cocopeat could increase the development of melons. Cocopeat (Mc) can be increase the yield and quality of melons, and this can be seen in the fruit weight (1,214.50 g/plant) and total dissolved solid (11.87 0briks). Golden melon variety (Alisha F1) was able to produce sweeter fruit (11.97 0brix), but the fresh weight was lower (887.33 g / plant).

Abstract

Arabica Coffea Seed (Coffea Arabica L.) Growth Responses to Various Type of Planting Media and Urea Fertilization Dosage Arabica coffea is a type of coffee that has greater fruit characteristics and tastes better compared to robusta coffee so this commodity has the prospect of increasing the country's foreign exchange. To obtain quality crops, in the production process must be cultivated stages of good cultivation. To achieve this, cultivation techniques related to factors that affect the growth of arabica coffee seeds, namely planting media and urea fertilizer dosage. This study aims to find out the response of arabica coffee seedlings growth to various types of planting media and doses of urea fertilizer. This study used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with two factors. The first factor is the type of planting media namely top soil (M1), top soil: sand (M2), top soil: cow manure (M3), the second factor is the dose of urea fertilizer namely control (N0), 0.5 g / polybag (N1), 1 g / polybag (N2), 1.5 g / polybag (N3). The results showed an interaction between the type of planting media and the dose of urea fertilizer against the variable leaf dry weight. Combination of top soil and sand with a dose of urea fertilizer 1.5 g / polybag gives the largest leaf dry weight of 6.20 g.

Abstract

Study of Stem Position Cuttings and Rootone-F Dosage for Yellow Passion Fruit Propagation (Passiflora edulis var. flavicarpa) Yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis var. Flavicarpa) is a type of sour passion fruit that is generally grown in low to medium plains. This passion fruit has an oval round shape, yellow when ripe and green when young. Mostly the yellow passion fruit was propagated sexually by seed, while vegetative methods can be done by means of connection, cuttings and tissue culture. Passion fruit propagation is easier and faster to cloned than other vegetative propagation methods. The focus to know the different result of stem position treatment and administration of Rootone-F growth regulator and its interaction on the growth of yellow passion fruit cuttings. This study used a 2-factor factorial design, namely: treatment of stem position and administration of Rootone-F growth regulator. The observed variables were shoot growth time, shoot oven dry weight, shoot length, primary root number, primary root length, root oven dry weight, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf oven dry weight, total wet weight, total oven dry weight. The results showed that the highest root oven dry weight was obtained in the treatment at the base of the stem with a dose of Rootone-F 225 mg / cuttings (P3Z3) with a root oven dry weight of 3.30 grams.
