Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the role of stakeholder actors in increasing customer interest in the iB Hijrah Haji product at Bank Muamalat Jember Branch Office. This research is motivated by the decline in the number of hajj savings applicants at Bank Muamalat over the past four years. The approach used in the study is a mixed methods with the MACTOR method (Matrix of Alliance and Conflicts: Tactics, Objectives, and Recommendations). The results of this study indicate that actors in quadrant II with high influence and dependence, namely the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Head of the Bank, have a strategic role in increasing customer interest in the iB Hijrah Haji product. Meanwhile, Marketing and Customer Service actors have high influence and low dependence, so they have the potential to encourage customer interest in the iB Hijrah Haji product without relying on the decisions of other actors. The strategies obtained include savings deposits, banking services, coordination with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, policy support by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, seminar involvement, customer approaches, customer follow-up, the role of IPHI, online reviews by customers, explanations of savings products, educational media, mobile services, promotions by product customers, providing digital services, making complaint records, product socialization, and partnering with external parties. Keywords: Stakeholders, MACTOR Analysis, Bank Muamalat

Abstract

This research attempts to analyze the impacts experienced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises' (MSMEs) Competitiveness after obtaining Halal certification. The study focused on MSMEs in the Food and Beverage sector using a qualitative exploratory approach. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach and using a purposive sampling method. One respondent was selected from each district to ensure that all districts within the study area were represented. The rationale for this approach was to secure minimal but sufficient representation from every district under investigation. The analysis results show that halal certification contributes not only to business growth but also to the advancement of Islamic economic values by embedding halalan tayyiban principles into the supply chain, promoting transparency, and reinforcing consumer rights in predominantly Muslim markets. The study further highlights that Halal certification contributes to advancing of Islamic economic values by embedding the principles of halalan tayyiban into production and distribution processes, promoting business transparency, and reinforcing consumer rights in predominantly Muslim communities. Therefore, Halal certification serves not only as a religious or legal obligation but also as a strategic instrument for sustainable growth and empowerment of MSMEs in regional economic development.

Abstract

Bandilan Village is one of the promising villages in Bondowoso Regency that requires support in the digitalisation and diversification of products produced by the Rimba Jaya 3 farmers’ group. The marketing of MSME products, Halal certification and the scarcity of fertiliser are issues facing the village. The community service method, using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involves training sessions, consultations, mentoring and evaluation of activities involving all village stakeholders, ranging from the village head, village officials, farmer groups and the surrounding community, in producing products, including meeting Halal certification requirements. This community service initiative can serve as an alternative for the people of Bandilan, particularly the Rimba Jaya 3 Group, to address the scarcity of subsidised fertiliser and improve the marketing of flagship SME products. It also helps SMEs to develop through mentoring to obtain Halal certification. Liquid Organic Fertiliser (POC) is an alternative for farmers as a substitute for subsidised fertiliser, which is often in short supply, by utilising unused tofu waste in the village. Through support for 10 SMEs in the form of marketing and halal certification, it is hoped that SMEs in the village of Bandilan will be able to move up the ladder. A challenge that has arisen in this support programme is the limited number of young people interested in getting involved, as many of them choose to migrate to the city rather than become farmers and entrepreneurs in their own village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of religiosity, service quality, and profit sharing on member satisfaction in sharia cooperatives in Jember Regency, Indonesia. The study is important because empirical research on member satisfaction in sharia cooperatives remains limited, particularly in regions characterized by strong Islamic socio-cultural values. This study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling. Data were collected from 68 members of four sharia cooperatives in Jember Regency through questionnaires measured using a five-point Likert scale. Multiple regression analysis was used to examine the effects of religiosity, service quality, and profit sharing on member satisfaction. The results indicate that profit sharing has a positive and significant effect on member satisfaction (β = 0.601; p < 0.001). In contrast, religiosity (p = 0.663) and service quality (p = 0.983) do not significantly affect member satisfaction. The regression model explains approximately 19.08% of the variation in member satisfaction. This study is limited by its relatively small sample size and its focus on sharia cooperatives in a single regency, which may limit the generalizability of the findings. Future studies are encouraged to include broader geographical coverage and additional variables related to Islamic financial behavior. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic cooperatives by demonstrating that profit sharing, as a reflection of fairness, transparency, and economic benefit in Islamic economics, plays a more important role in shaping member satisfaction than religiosity or service quality.
