Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The increasing population of Jakarta caused huge number of passengers of Commuter Line (KRL), especially during rush hour . For instance, Serpong Line (Serpong - Manggarai). The trip Frequency of Serpong Line has been no additions yet, though the number of passengers continues to increase. Kebayoran station has a very short platform, that made the passengers in difficult conditions (Dira, 2011) . The Limited wide of the platform and low platform type must bring difficulties. To go up and down the train, the passengers should use "bancik", which is a small staircase made of iron. But now, long iron staircases has been built along the side of the platform, which is also used by the passengers as a seat. But it made the wide of the platform smaller and narrow. In addition, the number of passengers caused the platform becomes congested that will cause discomfort and the passengers will begin to adapt to these conditions. Is there a relationship between the platform setting to the passenggers adaptability? Is there any influence of the platform setting to the passengers adaptability? This study has used quantitative methods to determine the presence or absence of the influence by using SPSS  software version 16. Through this research is expected to provide knowledge on the influence of the platform setting to the passengers adaptability. The results of this study showed that there was indeed a strong and significant correlation, with r = 0.553 and t = 4.59, between the platform setting to the passengers adaptability. And the influence of the platform setting to the passengers adaptability are around 30,5% ABSTRAK.

Abstract

Lengkong Kyai Village is a Historical Heritage Village in Tangerang Regency. The existence of this village is increasingly surrounded and isolated by the development of modern formal housing in BSD City, so that its physical condition is increasingly became slum and its identity as a historical heritage village is decreasing. The Tangerang Regency Government has directed this village as a Pilgrimage Tourism Village, but has not yet had a thorough plan. Therefore, the KKL and PKM activities of the Architecture Study Program tried to plan a design that was focused on the Cisadane River side of this village, because this side is where the village is easily recognizable from the main road of BSD City. This activity resulted in a pre-design of green tourism and a community center on the river border that was connected to historical heritage objects in the village so that it became a unified program of spiritual or religious tourism activities.

Abstract

The formal housing expansion by private property developers in Tangerang District has the potential to generate "urban void" due to the degradation of the quality of local informal settlements into slums. Between the rich and the poor do not have shared space, to meet and to communicate, but instead hindered by the construction of a concrete wall separating the two sides with a lame gap. Mekarwangi Village is one of the villages in Kecamatan Cisauk, Tangerang Regency, which some part of the area will be built formal housing. To overcome the negative impact, it is necessary step in integrating it with formal housing. One of them is to plan a comperhensive settlement design, but also affordable and in accordance with the local character, and promote sustainability. Community service activities are integrated along side with research into the teaching; the course Urban Design Studio. Beside lecturers and students, this activity also involved the local residents and local agencies. The scope of this case study is in one neigborhoods of Mekarwangi Village; Kampung Cilegong. How the settlement planning and design will be suitable for Kampung Cilegong? This research uses qualitative method to get deeper problem. This study aims to find a solution for Mekarwangi Village in the future. This activity is succeeded and satisfied the citizens of Kampung Cilegong, Mekarwangi Village

Abstract

The Pesisir Barat, Solok, and Solok Selatan areas are the rantau (vassal) of the Pagaruyung Kingdom after the withdrawal of the Malayupura Kingdom and the Malacca Sultanate, namely the Inderapura Kingdom in the 15th century and the Sungai Pagu Kingdom in the 16th century. At a glance, the Rumah Gadang in the Pesisir Barat area are similar to the Rumah Gedang in Batanghari Hulu and the Rumah Godang in Batang Kuantan. Meanwhile, the Rumah Gadang in Solok and Solok Selatan seem to have all the Rumah Gadang collections in the Luhak Nan Tigo area (Tanah Datar, Agam, and Limapuluh Koto). Therefore, this study tries to explore the relationship between the characteristics of traditional houses in these areas. This research method is qualitative, by conducting literature reviews, field studies, and analyzing the architecture and comparing it with traditional houses in these areas to get a more comprehensive conclusion. The results of this study indicate that there is a general relationship between the characteristics of the Rumah Gadang in the West Coast, Solok, and South Solok with the Rumah Gadang in the Luhak Nan Tigo area.

Abstract

Passive dew and fog harvesting is currently a topic that has begun to develop since the issue of climate change and the water crisis hit the world. Even though this topic is not new, its development has been very intense lately by many researchers from various disciplines. However, this topic has not yet become a major topic of conversation in the world of architecture. Therefore, this bibliometric research was carried out, to see the development of passive fog and dew harvesting research related to architectural science. At the same time to see opportunities for positions that can be filled by researchers and architects to contribute and collaborate on this topic. The database used is from Lens based on eleven keywords related to the topic of dew and fog harvesting. The dataset is then processed in Microsoft 365 Excel and VOSviewer to obtain a scientific mapping which will be interpreted afterwards. The results of this study indicate that there are positions that can be filled and there are still opportunities that can be researched on this topic by architectural scientists, particularly in relation to context, locality, community, sustainability, biomimetics, bioinspiration, and low technology.

Abstract

Global warming and climate change have negative effects on life on earth. One of the consequences is a water crisis or water scarcity, both in quantity and quality. Indonesia also cannot avoid this problem. Therefore it is necessary to prepare an alternative water supply solution, one of which is from water vapor (atmospheric water), especially in the form of dew and fog. This study aimed to formulate the design requirements for passive low-tech dew and fog collector building by comparing several technologies and projects in the world that have been realized recently that have a relationship with architectural science. This research used qualitative research with a narrative literature review approach. This research produced design requirements in the form of principles and technical requirements in designing and realizing dew and fog collector building, especially in terms of function, construction, and appearance. Keywords: dew collector, fog collector, low-tech, water scarcity, architecture

Abstract

The discourse on "nusantara" architecture has been echoing since 1999. The topic of this research tried to separate itself from ethnographic studies, vernacular architecture, and traditional architecture. This research wanted to build studies on local architectural understanding theoretically to its current application practices and projections of its existence in the future. This study aimed to analyze the trend in "nusantara" architecture research objectively that has been rolling for 24 years by using a bibliometric analysis method using big data provided by Lens, then visualized them using Lens analysis data, Microsoft Excel 35 version 2212 software, and VOSviewer software. This study's results indicated that the research topics on "nusantara" Architecture are not many and varied and have not formed many publication networks.
