Performance appraisal is a crucial aspect to effective human resource management. However there are evidences that current processes are not very effective. Employees will accept the appraisal system if they perceive that the procedure on appraisal system is fair. This study reports the experience with relatively new appraisal system. The system of 360 degree performance appraisal, utilizes ratings from peers, supervisor, and employee. This experiment used 26 of college students from one of university in Yogyakarta as subjects that were divided randomly in to experiment group and control group. Perceive of procedural fairness scale was used to measure perceive of performance appraisal procedural fairness. Result supported the hypotheses that 360 degree performance appraisal was effective to increase perceive of performance appraisal procedural fairness (F=89.229; p= 0.000; p<0.05) and gave 78.8 % to perceive of performance appraisal procedural fairness. The result also indicated that there was a significant difference between experiment group and control group after the intervention was given to experiment group (F=18.416; p=0.000 p>0.05). Perceive of performance appraisal procedural fairness on experiment group significantly increased after 360 degree performance appraisal simulation was given (F=91.460; p=0.000; p<0.05).

Salah satu tugas perkembangan remaja pada jenjang pendidikan menengah atas adalah menentukan pilihan karir masa depannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan perencanaan karir terhadap peningkatan career decision making self efficacy (CDMSE) pada siswa SMK. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen yang melibatkan subjek penelitian sebanyak 36 siswa Negeri 1 Bantul jurusan administrasi perkantoran. Subjek dikelompokkan menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala CDMSE dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Anova Mixed Design dengan bantuan spss 2.3 for windows. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan tingkat efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karir antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Peningkatan CDMSE terjadi pada kelompok eskperimen dan tidak perubahan pada kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis juga menujukkan bahwa rerata post test pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan pre test. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan perencanaan karir cukup efektif meningkatkan CDMSE pada siswa SMK.

AbstractThis study aims to determine the relation between internal locus of control and career maturity of students in vocational high school (SMK) Negri 1 Bantul. The research involved 150 eleventh-grade students of five classes in SMK Negri 1 Bantul as samples that were chosen using cluster random sampling. Data was collected using career maturity scale and internal locus of control scale and Pearson Product Moment correlation technique with SPSS 16.0 for Windows was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the coefficient correlation between those two variables reach at r = 0.161 and p = 0.049 (p <0.05= significant). It can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between internal-locus of control and students’s career maturity. The higher students’ internal locus of control, the higher students’ career maturity and vice versa. Keywords: career maturity, career-planning, internal locus of control.

This study aims to identify the correlation between sense of humor and employes job stress. This research involved 52 employes in The First Class of Agricultural Quarantine, Semarang, Central Java. Job stress scale and sense of humor scale were used to collect the data and the result was analyzed using the product moment correlation that was calculated by SPSS 15.0 for windows. The results showed that there were a significant relationship between sense of humor and job stress with a correlation coefficient r = -0.423 at significance level (p) 0.002 (p < 0.01). The higer individual sense of humor level, the lower employee job stress level and vice versa. Sense of humor give effective contribution of 17.90% to employee job stress. This result will be discussed further in this paper. Keywords: Job Stress, Sense of Humor

ABSTRACTThis study examines the role of core self evaluation on predicting retirement preparation of pre retirement employees. This research involves 50 pre retirement employee of the exploration section of “ X Company†who get pre retirement program on 2013. Retirement preparation scale is used to measure effort of the employee’s retirement planning and core self evaluation is measured through core evaluation scale. Results show that there is no significant effect of core self evaluation on retirement preparation (F = 0.581, p = 0.679, p > 0.05). Based on data analysis it indicated that core self evaluation does not have effect on retirement preparation. It’s mean that core self evaluation could not predict employee’s retirement preparation. Thera are non-motivational and cultural factors that affect employees’ intention on retirement preparation.Keywords: core self evaluation, emotional stability, self esteem, self efficacy, locus of control, retirement preparation

Hasil analisis juga menujukkan bahwa rerata post test pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan pre test. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan perencanaan karir cukup efektif meningkatkan CDMSE pada siswa SMK. Pelatihan perencanaan karir memberikan sumbangan sebesar 58,1% terhadap peningkatan CDMSE pada siswa SMK.

Pemahaman akan emosi merupakan faktor penting yang menentukan kemampuan individu dalam mengelola emosi pada remaja. Artikel ini membahas efektivitas psikoedukasi pengenalan emosi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman emosi pada remaja. Psikoeduasi dilakukan pada 34 remaja laki-laki di Panti Asuhan X yang diberikan dalam dua sesi. Pre test dan post test dilakukan sebelum dan setelah psikoedukasi dilakukan untuk mengukur pemahaman remaja mengenai emosi dan pengelolaan emosi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman remaja akan emosi dan pengelolaan emosi sebelum dan setelah perlakukan diberikan. Psikoedukasi ini penting dilakukan untuk membantu remaja dipanti asuhan dalam mengenali dan mengekspresikan emosi dengan tepat sehibgga tercapai keseimbangan dalam diri.

Today's technological advances enable a variety of people to work from anywhere without being stuck in one place. Career satisfaction becomes a study to see how employees remotely view career satisfaction. The research aims to develop a career satisfaction measure to investigate how a remote employee perceives his or her professional satisfaction. This research uses a quantitative approach with the sampling method used in this research using purposive sampling techniques. The sample in this study is employees who work remotely or can work from anywhere within 200 participants. The data collection uses a career satisfaction scale that has been modified and rearranged by the researchers. Measurement of career satisfaction measurements using confirmatory factor analysis techniques resulted in CFI 0.976, TLI 0.957, and SRMR 0.0254 goodness fit. Then reliability on the scale with the alpha value Cronbach 0.940. In addition, the value of the rest-correlation item ranges from 0.645 to 0.829 with a very good category so that the measurement can measure the level of career satisfaction for employees

Psychological well-being is important for adolescent, especially on their mental health. This study aimed to examine the relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being in adolescent K-pop fans. The population in this study were adolescents aged 13-18 years who were K-pop fans, with a research sample obtained from quota sampling with a total of 100 people. This research applied the quantitative method, while the data collection tools included the psychological well-being and loneliness scales. The data are then analyzed using the product moment technique. The study results show a significant negative relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being among adolescent K-pop fans. The level of psychological well-being and loneliness adolescent K-pop fans are in the moderate category. Based on the study results, the lower the level of loneliness among adolescents, the higher the psychological well-being will be and vice versa. The higher the level of loneliness, the lower the psychological well-being.
