Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a decline in people's purchasing power, especially for household consumption. Therefore, to alleviate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the community is directed to be able to meet food needs through food security. The purpose of this service is to provide training on horticultural crop cultivation using sosog to the people of Tanjungsari Village, Rajadesa District, Ciamis Regency. The method used is by way of material presentation, question and answer and guided training. After the training activities were carried out, there was an increase in community knowledge and skills both in terms of knowledge about the types and benefits of horticultural plants and how to grow horticultural crops using sosog along with how to care for them. The community gave a positive response to the activities carried out. This activity is considered useful by the community and is a form of optimizing the potential of the Tanjungsari Village community, most of which are farmers and woven bamboo craftsmen to be able to meet food needs through sosog as a planting medium.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika memiliki tujuan agar mahasiswa mampu menerapkan konsep dan hukum fisika dalam proses penyelesaian masalah fisika. Belajar fisika dan menyelesaikan masalah fisika dipengaruhi sikap dan pendekatan mahasiswa pada masalah fisika. Selain novice dan expert, dalam penyelesaian masalah fisika terdapat istilah transitioning novice. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi sikap dan pendekatan yang digunakan oleh Transitioning novice jika dihadapkan pada masalah fisika. Survei cross-sectional dilakukan pada Sikap dan Pendekatan terhadap Penyelesaian Masalah. Sampel penelitian adalah 88 mahasiswa melalui teknik purposive sampling yaitu mahasiswa masuk dalam kategori transitioning novice. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah hasil adaptasi Attitude and Approach to Problem Solving (AAPS). Hasil survei dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif menggunakan persentase dan tabulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden menunjukkan ciri novice dan ciri expert dalam hal sikap dan pendekatan terhadap penyelesaian masalah fisika. Mahasiswa yang menjadi responden menunjukkan sedang berada pada fase transitional novice. Ciri transitional novice yang menonjol pada penelitian ini adalah cara pandang terhadap rumus fisika dan masalah fisika yang masih dianggap sebagai masalah matematis, keterbatasan dalam mengidentifikasi konsep, melakukan evaluasi terhadap proses penyelesaian masalah dan solusinya, dan berkolaborasi dalam penyelesaian masalah

Abstract

This research aims to examine the use of reading guide-based physics practicum manuals to improve students' creative thinking skills. The type of research method used in this research is a literature study. Data collection is obtained from various journals, books, and proceedings that are relevant to the focus of the research and based on creative thinking indicators, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration in a reading guide-based practical model. The data were analyzed by the correlation between the indicators of creative thinking ability and the practicum guide model used. The results of this research are a collection of references that are relevant to the focus of the research. Based on the results of the literature study, it was found that there was a correlation or continuity between the criteria for reading guide learning strategies and indicators of creative thinking skills, namely: 1) Fluency, 2) flexibility, 3) originality, and 4) elaboration. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of variations of the reading guide-based physics practicum model will be able to improve students' creative thinking skills if it is used in learning that carries out physics practicum.

Abstract

Several Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have begun to transform to make students able to live independently by entrepreneurship. The pesantren curriculum, which used to only focus on studying, is currently coupled with the existence of an entrepreneurial curriculum. One of the Islamic Boarding Schools that has developed entrepreneurship is the Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School, Ciamis Regency by implementing entrepreneurship in the subjects of Prakarya and entrepreneurship (PKWU). PKWU is one of the subjects with the hope that students can produce and create more creative, innovative, increase the value of sensibility to the progress of the times while appreciating technology, local wisdom. In addition, students are expected to be able to become entrepreneurs after producing products that have been made. One of the Prakarya and Entrepreneurship learning activities studied at the Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School is the cultivation of kale plants. Santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Mu'aawanah had the idea to process kale into chips. The priority problem of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mu'aawanah after successfully cultivating kale plants is excessive harvest but not supported by maximum processing and marketing. Kale processing is still carried out traditionally, namely not utilizing machine technology in production activities, causing production results to be low. Furthermore, the marketing of kale chips is still done manually, namely that it has not utilized digitalization technology so that the production results cannot be distributed optimally. The rapid development of technology can be used to support kale processing activities, namely using Vacuum Frying technology and the use of digitalization technology for marketing processed kale products based online, one of which is through e-commerce. The methods used in the training activities are lecture methods, question-and-answer discussions, then continued with the practice of making an e-commerce system. This activity is expected to help the students of The Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School in growing entrepreneurship and food security. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of science process skills in physics learning. This is seen from the average percentage of science process skills of 31.25% in the lower category. To overcome these problems by using the REACT learning model that emphasizes direct experience in learning to improve students ' science process skills. This study aims to determine the effect of REACT learning model on students ' science process skills on the elasticity topic. The methods in this study are quasi-experiments, posttest-only control design research design, and sampling techniques in the form of random cluster sampling. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of a question description. The analysis technique test uses a normality test and the homogeneity test, and then the hypothesis test uses a t-test. The results of the hypothesis with the t-test showed that after applying the REACT learning model, 4.49 > 2.385 tcount > ttable is obtained so that H0 is rejected with a significant level (α=0.01). According to the research findings, students' science process skills receive an average score of 86% in the "very good" category after being applied to the REACT learning model. This demonstrates that using the REACT learning model has an impact and can help students improve their science process skills.

Abstract

Keterbatasan waktu menjadi tantangan dalam melakukan latihan yang maksimal untuk memperdalam pemahaman konsep fisika di kelas. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan worksheet Blended Problem Based Learning (B-PBL) dan worksheet Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika. Penelitian dilakukan di program studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Siliwangi dengan melibatkan 84 mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah mekanika tahun akademik 2022/2023. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain yaitu Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Jenis tes yang digunakan berbentuk essay dengan jumlah soal 4 butir pada materi kinematika, dinamika, dan gerak harmonik. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah setelah penggunaan worksheet Blended Problem Based Learning (B-PBL) dan worksheet Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), untuk mengetahui efektivitas worksheet dilakukan analisis menggunakan effect size. Hasil analisis N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan masalah dengan penggunaan worksheet Blended Problem Based Learning (B-PBL) lebih signifikan daripada worksheet Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,8 dengan kategori “tinggi”. Hasil analisis effect size menunjukkan bahwa worksheet Blended Problem Based Learning (B-PBL) lebih efektif daripada worksheet Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang memperoleh nilai sebesar 1 dengan kategori “sangat besar”

Abstract

This research departs from the problem of limited tools and practicum materials in the laboratory, and students need help understanding the concept of momentum and impulse material. An effort to overcome these problems is to develop an electronic student worksheet using a problem-based learning model with the Wizer.me platform. This study aims to describe the development process, validity level, and practicality of electronic student worksheets using the problem-based learning model with the Wizer.me platform on momentum and impulse material. The research method used is research and development (RD) with the ADDIE development model. The population of this research is all class X MIPA SMA Negeri 13 Garut, consisting of seven classes with 252 students. The research sample was taken by using the cluster random sampling technique for classes X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2, with 36 students in each class. The data analysis technique used in processing the validation results was Aiken's V index. The results showed that the Aiken index of material, media, and learning experts were respectively 0.91, 0.94, and 0.96 with excellent categories, and the average practicality percentage is 89% with efficient criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the electronic student worksheets developed using a problem-based learning model with the Wizer.me platform on the momentum and impulse material meets valid and practical criteria for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Kegiatan pertanian atau budidaya tanaman di Desa Pawindan masih bergantung pada penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida kimia. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan memanfaatkan Biosaka. Biosaka merupakan campuran yang berasal dari larutan tumbuhan atau rerumputan yang mampu melindungi tanaman dari serangan hama dan penyakit serta dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk hingga sekitar 50-90 persen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan dalam pembuatan Biosaka sebagai alternatif pengganti pupuk dan pestisida kimia. Pelatihan dilakukan terhadap Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Dahlia dan Bina Keluarga Remaja (BKR) Al Marzuq Desa Pawindan Kecamatan Ciamis. Waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan yakni Kamis, 13 Juli 2023 dengan peserta pelatihan sebanyak 17 orang. Pelaksanaan pelatihan menggunakan metode penyuluhan pelatihan, diskusi, dan praktik pembuatan Biosaka. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan membagikan angket kepuasan kepada peserta. Angket terdiri dari dua bagian, yaitu persepsi peserta terhadap tim pengabdian dan persepsi peserta terhadap pembuatan Biosaka.  Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, masyarakat memberikan respons yang sangat positif terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan dan menilai kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat. Kegiatan ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat serta merupakan kegiatan yang belum pernah dilakukan sebelumnya. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam membuat Biosaka Agricultural activities or plant cultivation in Pawindan Village still depend on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The solution to overcome this problem is by utilizing Biosaka. Biosaka is a mixture derived from a solution of plants or grass, which can protect plants from pest and disease attacks and reduce fertilizer use by around 50-90 percent. This service activity aims to provide education and training in making Biosaka an alternative to chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The training was conducted for the Dahlia Women's Farming Group and Al Marzuq Youth Family Development in Pawindan Village, Ciamis District. The time for the activity is Thursday, July 13, 2023, with 17 training participants. The training was carried out using training counseling methods, discussions, and the practice of making Biosaka. Evaluation of activities is carried out by distributing satisfaction questionnaires to participants. The questionnaire consists of two parts, namely, participants' perceptions of the service team and participants' perceptions of making Biosaka. Based on the evaluation results, the community gave a very positive response to the activities that had been carried out and considered these activities to be very useful. This activity is following community needs and is an activity that has never been carried out before. Apart from that, this activity can also increase people's knowledge and skills in making Biosaka.

Abstract

Student worksheets based on guided discovery learning assisted by a tracker video analysis on mechanical energy conservation materials were developed to provide experience in learning physics on conservation material mechanical energy. This research aims to produce a product in the form of the student worksheets based on guided discovery assisted by tracker video analysis. Studying this is research and development (R&D), using the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, and implementation. This study uses quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data results from the validation sheet and questionnaire responses of students and teachers. Then, qualitative data will be collected as suggestions, comments, and criticism from the validator regarding the development of the student worksheets. Data collection techniques using interviews and observations. The instrument used is a validation sheet for three validators: media, material, and language experts. This research was held at the Riyaluul Ulum High School. The research subjects were physics teachers and students of class X MIPA. The sample consisted of 130 students who were taken using simple random sampling and two teachers. Data analysis technique using descriptive statistics to determine validity and practicality. The results showed that the average value of media validation was 83% and categorized as very valid, material validation was 82% and categorized as very valid and language validation was 77% and categorized as valid. The results of the practicality assessment by students is 80% with the category of practical, and by the teacher is 86% very practical. The results of this study state that it can be used and implemented in the learning process.
