Abstract

All physics education student must take Basic Electronics courses at Siliwangi University. The course teaches students how to create electronic components. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the unprecedented shift from classroom learning to online learning has profoundly impacted levels of students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes in introductory electronics course online laboratory activities. The quantitative descriptive method research was conducted to analyze the implementation of the Circuit Wizard application on students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes in the introductory electronics course on the logic gate topic. Students who had recently completed the logic gate simulation were asked to write up a simulation results report. The report was used to measure students' learning outcomes. At the same time, an online questionnaire was administered to measure students’ motivation. Data were collected from 46 students of physics education (fifth and seventh semesters, the academic year 2021/2022). The results revealed students' motivation was as follows: 45% were in the good category, 27% were in a low category, and 28% were a low motivation. Findings also revealed student learning outcomes identified: 35% got an A grade, 33% got a B grade, and 4% got a C grade. These findings suggested that the implementation of Circuit Wizard in basic electronics courses positively impacted students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak. Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika harus memiliki kompetensi digital dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif abad 21, sehingga kompetensi tersebut harus dilatihkan bagi Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika. Salah satu cara untuk melatih kompetensi dan keterampilan tersebut dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non eksperimental dalam penelitian korelasional, bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompetensi digital dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 65 Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika yang mengambil mata kuliah Mekanika tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi kompetensi digital, lembar observasi keterampilan berpikir kreatif, dan wawancara yang dilakukan oleh tiga orang observer. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang sangat tinggi antara kompetensi digital dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,84 dan kontribusi kompetensi digital terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebesar 71%.Kata kunci: kompetenci digital, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, project based learning Abstract. Physics education students must possess digital competence and creative thinking skills in the 21st century, so these competencies must be trained for Physics Education Students. One way to train these competencies and skills to apply a project-based learning model in physics learning. This research is non-experimental quantitative research in correlational research, aiming to determine the relationship between digital competence and creative thinking skills. The research subjects consisted of 65 Physics Education Students taking Mechanics courses for the 2019/2020 academic year using research instruments, namely digital competency observation sheets, creative thinking skills observation sheets, and interviews conducted by three observers. Based on the data analysis results, it is concluded that there is a very high positive correlation between digital competence and creative thinking skills with a correlation coefficient value of 0.84 and the contribution of digital competence to creative thinking skills by 71%.Keywords: digital comptence, creative thinking skills, project based learning

Abstract

Keterampilan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dicapai dalam proses pembelajaran Fisika. Keterampilan pemecahan masalah perlu dimiliki peserta didik yang mempelajari Fisika. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada materi interferensi celah ganda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 33 Peserta didik XI IPA SMAN 1 Cilimus tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu LKPD berbasis PBL dan lembar instrumen soal pretest-posttest keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan effect size, N-Gain, dan uji t dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) secara signifikan efektif meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi interferensi celah ganda

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Guided Inquiry-based Student Worksheets on Archimedes’ Law. This study used an experimental method with a research design of one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was all students of class XI MIA Public Senior High School 1 Sariwangi, the research sample was XI MIA 2. The sampling technique was done by using cluster random sampling. The data collection instrument used a pretest and posttest assessment sheet. Data analysis used statistical tests, namely N-Gain and t-test. The test result of the effectiveness of student worksheets based on guided inquiry using N-Gain analysis obtained a value of 0.97 with high criteria. Furthermore, the result of the t-test showed 15tcount>t(0,995)(30)">  that it was 4.15>2.75. This indicated that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Based on the average N-Gain and t-test, it can be concluded that guided inquiry-based student worksheets are very effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The results of this study have the implication that guided inquiry-based student worksheets can be used in the implementation of learning as a form of assistance for students to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is based on the number of students who find it difficult to learn physics because of the lack of understanding of concepts and only memorization and still lack of communication skills of students. Based on this background, a study was conducted that aims to improve the understanding of students' concepts and communication skills by applying snowball throwing learning model on gas kinetic theory material. The method used in this study is experimental method, the population in this study is all students of XI IPA SMA IT Nurul Jannah and then selected with simple random sampling technique so that there are 23 students of grade XI IPA SMA IT Nurul Jannah. The result of the study is the application of snowball throwing model can improve the understanding of the concept with a pretest average of 25,6 and then increase by a posttest average of 57,4, with a large N-gain of 0,4 so that the medium category and t-test results of 7,65 are greater than the table t with a confidence level of 5%. The snowball throwing learning model can also improve students' communication skills, with an initial average of 45,41 and after the application of the model to 67,15, with a large N-gain of 0,4 so that the medium category, as well as the t-test results are 8,48 greater than the large, t-table that is 2,07. So, it can be concluded that the Learning Model of Snowball Throwing can improve the concept and communication skills understanding of student. For further research, it is recommended to utilize learning media to improve concept understanding by collaborating using snowball throwing learning models.

Abstract

Communication skills and problem solving skills are indispensable and must be trained to pre-service physics teachers in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between communication skills and problem solving skills of physics education students at mechanics courses. The research subjects were 65 physics education students 2019/2020 academic year taking mechanics courses. The research instrument used communication skills observation sheet, case description test and an interview conducted by three observers. The results of data analysis showed positive correlation in medium category between communication skills and problem solving skills with a correlation coefficient value of 0.50. The contribution of communication skills to problem solving skills by 25%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penulisan ini yaitu untuk mendeksripsikan efektivitas modul pembelajaran berbasis problem based learning dalam pembelajaran fisika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi dinamika rotasi. Jenis penilitian yang digunakan yaitu peneliian eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN Taraju dengan menggunakan desain penelitian One Group Pre test-Post test. Kemudian untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah menggunakan desain One Group Pre test-Post test dan memperoleh nilai efek size sebesar 3.19 sehingga menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan dengan taraf atau kriteria sangat besar serta dilakukan uji t-test dan mendapatkan hasil thitung > ttabel yaitu 17,77 > 2,86 Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini dapat menghasilkan modul pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning yang layak pada materi dinamika rotasi dan juga dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa. Kata kunci: problem based learning; keterampilan pemecahan masalah; dinamika rotasi. ABSTRACT.The purpose of this paper is to describe the effectiveness of problem-based learning modules in physics learning to improve students' problem-solving abilities in the rotational dynamics material. The type of research used is experimental research. This research was conducted on class XI MIPA students of SMAN Taraju by using the research design One Group Pre-test-Post test. Then to measure the problem solving ability using the One Group Pre-test-Post test design and obtain an effect size value of 3.19 so that it shows that there is an increase with a very large level or criteria and a t-test is carried out and gets the results of tcount> ttable, namely 17.77> 2.86 So, it can be concluded that this study can produce a problem-based learning module that is feasible on the rotational dynamics material and can also help improve students' problem-solving abilities. Keywords: problem based learning; problem solving skills; rotational dynamics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the group investigation type cooperative learning model in improving the science process skills of high school students in material elasticity. The research method used was quasi-experimental and the population used was class XI MIPA one of the public high schools in Tasikmalaya district and the sample used was class XI MIPA 4. The results of this study obtained an effect size value of 3.91 and categorized as high. The t-test of science process skills in students obtained tcount of 26.39 and ttable of 2.86 because tcount> ttable then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the group investigation type cooperative learning model was effective in improving the science process skills of high school students on the elasticity of the material.

Abstract

This study aimed to described the effectiveness of the Laboratory-Based Hybrid Project Based Learning Module to improve students' science process skills. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-test pre-test design. The research sample was selected randomly from the population of class X TKRO SMKN 1 Manonjaya students. Data analysis was seen from the results of the pre-test pre-test obtained by students, t-test and N-gain to determine the improvement of students' scientific process skills descriptively. The results of the study obtained that the results of the pre-test and post-test of students increased by 37.26%, then the t-test analysis where t_count > t_table obtained a value of 3.54> 1.76 then Ho was rejected so that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. after using the laboratory-based Hybrid Project Based Learning module, it can improve students' science process skills (KPS). However, based on the gain value obtained, 0.3 is still categorized as "medium" because there are several shortcomings during the teaching and learning process (KBM).

Abstract

Jahe merah dengan nama latin Zingiber officinale var. Rubrum memiliki kandungan minyak atsiri sebesar 2,58-2,72%. Selain itu, kandungan senyawa kimia aktif seperti gingerol, zingeron, shogaol, gingerin dan zingerberin dalam jahe merah menyebabkan jahe merah memiliki khasiat yang besar untuk kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada masyarakat di Desa Darmaraja, Kecamatan Lumbung, Kabupaten Ciamis. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan budidaya dan pengolahan tanaman jahe merah dengan menggunakan teknologi bag culture, yaitu sistem bertanam di dalam karung bekas atau polybag besar. Budidaya dan pengolahan jahe merah juga dilakukan untuk menumbuhkan semangat masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara pelatihan budidaya dan pengolahan tanaman jahe merah. Setelah pelatihan dilaksanakan, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penanaman Jahe Merah dengan teknologi bag culture. Masyarakat memberikan respons yang sangat positif terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan dan menilai kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini dapat mendorong kemandirian ekonomi mitra dengan memanfaatkan jahe merah yang ditanam di pekarang untuk diolah menjadi bubuk jahe yang dapat dikonsumsi baik secara pribadi atau dijual secara komersial.
