Abstract

Developing a chatbot becomes a challenging task when it is built from scratch and independent of any Software as a Service (SaaS). Inspired by the idea of freeing lecturers from the burden of answering the same questions repetitively during the pre-registration process, this research has succeeded in building a textbased chatbot system. Further, this research has proved that the combination of keyword spotting technique for the Language Understanding component, Finite-State Transducer (FST) for the Dialogue Management, rulebased keyword matching for language generation, and the system-in-the-loop paradigm for system validation can produce an efficient chatbot. The chatbot efficiency is high enough as its score on Concept Efficiency (CE) reaches 0.946. It shows that users do not need to repeat their utterances several times to be understood. The chatbot performance on recognizing new concepts introduced by users is also more than satisfactory which is presented by its Query Density (QD) score of 0.80.

Abstract

Identifikasi bahasa adalah sebuah proses yang mencoba menemukan bahasa yang digunakan dalam sebuah wacana secara otomatis. Sistem Identifikasi Bahasa (SIB) pada dasarnya dibedakan menjadi SIB lisan yang mengidentifikasi bahasa tutur lewat fitur akustik atau fonem, dan SIB berbasis fitur grafem dalam berbagai level dan kategori linguistiknya. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk membangun SIB yang dirancang untuk membedakan teks berbahasa Jawa dari bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa lainnya. Profil bahasa yang digunakan dibangun dari korpus yang diambil dari korpus Trawaca dan beberapa sumber daring dari berbagai topic. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperkaya kosa kata dan menignkatkan jumlah tipe kata. Profil bahasa tiap kategori diebntuk dari n-gram berbasis karakter dan diambil 100 n-gram dengan nilai CF tertinggi. Perhitungan jarak antara profil bahasa dengan dokumen uji dilakukan dengan menggunakan ukuran Out-Of-Place (OOP). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa Presisi idenfikasi dokumen berbahasa Jawa mencapai 0.96, sedangkan Presisi dokumen berbahasa Indonesia mencapai 0.86. Nilai Akurasi total identifikasi mencapai 0.85. Nilai Presisi identifikasi bahasa Indonesia jauh lebih rendah disbanding nilai Presisi identifikasi bahasa Jawa disebabkan diujikannya dokumen berbahasa Melayu-Malaysia yang tentu saja teridentifikasi sebagai dokumen berbahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

English is one of compulsory subjects at the computer science department in a higher education. Since English is not a field of study at the computer science, it is taught as an ESP (English for Specific Purposes). The fact that English is part of the curriculum at the computer science department makes it challenging for both the teachers and the students. The majority of the students will always deal with motivation, whereas teachers face a great challenge in designing an appropriate instructional material that gives short-term and long-term effects to the students. Besides, there are two types of teachers who teach English for computer science students, English teachers who have English education background and English teachers who do not own degrees in English education. These two types of teachers experience their own strengths and weaknesses in designing English instructional materials. This research, therefore, will combine the strengths of the teachers in the development of English instructional materials for computer science students that will have short-term and long-term impacts to the students. This research is applying an action research which is divided into some cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants are three English teachers and two classes of computer science students.

Abstract

The architecture of the text-reuse detection system consists of three main modules, i.e., source retrieval, text analysis, and knowledge-based postprocessing. Each module plays an important role in the accuracy rate of the detection outputs. Therefore, this research focuses on developing the source retrieval system in cases where the source documents have been obfuscated in different levels. Two steps of term weighting were applied to get such documents. The first was the local-word weighting, which has been applied to the test or reused documents to select query per text segments. The tf-idf term weighting was applied for indexing all documents in the corpus and as the basis for computing cosine similarity between the queries per segment and the documents in the corpus. A two-step filtering technique was applied to get the source document candidates. Using artificial cases of text reuse testing, the system achieves the same rates of precision and recall that are 0.967, while the recall rate for the simulated cases of reused text is 0.66.

Abstract

Two different paradigms in the field of plagiarism detection resulting in External Plagiarism Detection (EPD) and Intrinsic Plagiarism Detection (IPD) systems. The most common applied system is EPD, which requires its algorithm to make a heuristic comparison between a suspicious document with documents in a corpus. In contrast, given a suspicious document only, an algorithm of IPD should be able to find the plagiarism section by looking for text segments having different writing styles. Previous researches for Indonesian texts fell only in the field of the EPD development system. Therefore, this research focuses on and contributes to experimenting and analyzing the stylometric features and segmentation strategies to build an IPD system for Indonesian texts. The experimentation results show that the paragraph segment performs better by scoring 0.92 for Macro Averaged-Accuracy and 0.54 for Macro Averaged-F1. The stylometric features achieving the highest scores of F-1 and Accuracy are the frequency of punctuation, the average paragraph length, and the type-token ratio.

Abstract

Kebutuhan terhadap citra digital dalam masyarakat kita dewasa ini semakin meningkat dan merambah di berbagai bidang kehidupan seperti dalam pendidikan, bisnis, fotografi, bahkan kriminologi. Pengolahan citra digital merupakan teknologi yang dapat digunakan dalam memanipulasi citra untuk mengatasi ketrbatasan alat akuisisi citra atau untuk meningkatkan kualitas citra tersebut. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk melakukan restorasi terhadap citra kabur. Citra digital akan didegradasi dengan menggunakan Gaussian blur , kemudian direstorasi menggunakan jaringan Hopfield yang merupakan salah satu cabang dari jaringan saraf tiruan. Tujuan akhir dari proses restorasi adalah memperbaiki citra yang diberikan. Teknik restorasi secara umum berorientasi ke arah pemodelan degradasi dan penerapan proses kebalikannya (invers) untuk kembali mendapatkan citra asli. Berdasarkan analisis dari hasil uji coba hasil restorasi yang diperoleh belum optimal mendekati citra aslinya karena citra hasil perbaikan cenderung lebih gelap dan masih mengalamai degradasi atau kerusakan. Kemungkinan hal ini terjadi pada proses normalisasi yang kurang tepat. Kata Kunci : Restorasi Citra, Hopfield, Jaringan Saraf Tiruan, Blur

Abstract

Pada saat ini, komputer merupakan media yang banyak digunakan untuk berbagai macam bidang seperti perbankan, keuangan, manajemen dan bahkan pendidikan. Pemanfaatan teknologi ini sangat baik digunakan untuk anak-anak tetapi masih belum banyak yang memenuhi kebutuhan anak penyandang cacat. Pemanfaatan teknologi komputer digunakan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi program bantu pembelajaran yang memiliki antarmuka yang baik dan mudah dipahami oleh anak dengan kebutuhan khusus. Perancangan dan pengembangan aplikasi dilakukan dengan metode Collaborative Analysis of Requirement and Design (CARD).  Kesimpulan yang diperoleh berdasarkan penelitian dan pengujian antarmuka aplikasi kepada pengguna menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode CARD dalam pengembangan aplikasi program bantu pembelajaran membaca dapat menghasilkan antarmuka yang baik bagi pengguna dengan kebutuhan khusus. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan tingkat keberhasilan sistem yang mencapai 79,26% dengan hasil uji preferensi sebesar 60% menyatakan aplikasi program bantu pembelajaran membaca baik bagi pengguna dengan kebutuhan khusus. Antarmuka aplikasi ini memberikan pemahaman yang baik dan memberikan kemudahan bagi pengguna dengan kebutuhan khusus dalam menggunakan aplikasi tersebut.

Abstract

Website as a medium of information can not be separated from website content itself. How visitors get the information they want is very dependent on the placement of such information. This research which involve the design and testing of respondents concluded that in general, users tend to read using n “F” pattern , therefore the lay out of the most important content must be placed on both the recommended reading area of the “F” pattern. This research is using the Informatics Engineering’s website as case study and propose a better design to improve the readibility of the information based on “F” pattern. Abstract

A simple eating disorder can create variety of disease. In this research, a diet menu created based on the needs of nutrition, using implicit enumeration method. The system will produce minimum price diet menu arrangement 3 times a day for a week, yet still fulfill customer’s nutrition need. Implicit Enumeration Method is used to generate the menu with minimum  price. More foods used in this calculation, the implicit enumeration utilization become more optimal. For 10 menus were used in the calculation, the node exploration will be 27.3% of the actual solution, whereas for 15 menus were used, the node exploration will be just 10.9%.
