Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in June 2017 in Tapian Nauli I Village, Tapian Nauli Subdistrict, Tapanuli Tengah Regency, North Sumatera Province. The purpose of this study to determine the social and economic characteristics of fisherman households, and the level of welfare of household fisherman owners and fisherman laborers  in the Village Tapian Nauli I. The method used in this research is a survey method. Retrieval of respondents using proportionate stratified random sampling. The technical analysis used are descriptiveanalysis and bogardus analysis. The result showed that social and economic characteristics of the fisherman is the age of fisherman as much as 72% classified as very productive.Educational level of the average fisherman still belongs to low. The number of dependent families of fishermen as much as 56% belongs to the medium. The fisherman’s family has two income there were fixed income from fishing, and income from several their wives. The income of fisherman is moderate. The level of fisherman ownerswelfare based on BKKBN (Badan Koordinasi Keluarga Berencana Nasional) is as much as 80% are on welfare level phase I, while 90% of fisherman laborers areat the level of  welfare phase I. Keywords: prosperity, fisherman, bkkbn, Tapian Nauli I Village.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study on the correlation performance of the extension agent  and Livelihoods and Mindset was carried out in March 2018 in Sungai Beringin Town, Lima Puluh Kota District, West Sumatra Province. The study aims to determine  Performance of the extension agent in Syariah fish farmer group, advance understanding  livelihoods and mindset of the Syariah fish farmer group members, and knowing the correlation between performance of the extension agent with livelihoods and mindset of the Syariah fish farmer group members. The method used in this study is survey method which was analyzed using descriptive analysis and Vectorial Project Analysis (VPA) and the number of respondents in this study were 24 respondents.The results of the study analysis, performance of the extension agent in Syariah fish farmer group obtained a score of 1599 and were in the good category. Based on the analysis of VPA (Vectorial Project Analysis), there is a change in livelihoods and mindset of the Syariah fish farmer group from the preparation stage to the growth stage, which is up from 4.51 to 5.19. The relationship between the performance of extension agent and the livelihoods and mindset of Syariah fish farmer group members is that the agent influences the knowledge and awareness of the members in participating in counseling, adopting technology and information obtained from extension activities so that the mindset of group members increases towards a better one.Keywords: correlation, performance of the extension agent , livelihood and mindset

Abstract

 ABSTRACT   This research was conducted in February 2018, located in Lubuk Tukko Baruof Pandan Sub-district of Tapanuli Tengah Regency of North Sumatera Province. The study  was aimed to: 1) Know the factors that resulted in the fishermen willing to cooperate with patron; 2) Analyzing the pattern of fishing relationships with Tauke in  Lubuk Tukko Baru and 3) Analyze the strategy for social and economic progress in maintaining cooperation with fishermen. The method used in this research is a qualitative phenomenological method with the determination of informants in simple random sampling.            Based on the results of research obtained, that the factors that led to the fishermen want to cooperate with patron, that’s due to a relationship of interdependence between patron with fishermen, patron aid to fishermen and fishermen assistance to tauke. While the relationship pattern of fishermen and Tauke cooperation there are three that have elements, That are: the element of working relationships that occur because of the activities of fishermen and patron, elements of economic relations that occur through economic activity and social relations elements occur social interaction in economic relations. To maintain such cooperation relationship, patron has social and economic strategy. Social strategy patron the aid of consumption, aid  fishing equipment, easy loan process, kinship relationships that exist between patron with fishermen. While patron economic strategy is the pattern of rent / profit sharing, opening a patron business and patron credit management.Keywords: Patron,Strategy,Client,Relationship, Fisherman

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research was conducted in January 2017 which is located in sub district of Airtiris Kampar regency of Riau Province. This study aims to determine the development of aquaculture as well as to determine the impact of the development of aquaculture to the income of society and employment in the urban village. The method used in this study is a Survey with the number of respondents as many as 63 people.Aquaculture in Airtiris there are two is one aquaculture in Karamba and aquaculture in pond, aquaculture in karamba every year has increased seen from the increasing number of karamba units, while aquaculture in pond decreased due to reduced land due to the constructions of building and housing. The development of aquaculture provides an opportunity for the society to create new business venture related to aquaculture. Such as the business of making karamba, pellet making business, pellet selling business, fish seed supplying business, land leasing business and food sales business around the river, thereby increasing the income of society and can reduce unemployment rate. Key Word : Aquaculture, Income, Employment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT            The research was conducted on 19 March 2018 until 31 March 2018 which is located in Tanjungbalai city of North Sumatera Province. This research was qualitative research methods which is a research that seeks to understand and interpret the meaning of an interaction event of human behavior in certain situations according to the researcher’s own perspective.            Consumptive behavior is very clear when fishing communities are not going to sea, they spend a lot of time outdoors such as having drinks in cafes, karaoke and coffee in the shop spending money on unnecessary things around the city of Tanjungbalai. Abstract

ABSTRACT    This research was conducted on may 2019 in Suka Maju  Village, Rambah sub-District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. This study aims to determine the characteristics of fish farmers. to find out how the level of motivation of fish farmers and to analyze how the characteristics relate to the motivation of fish cultivator businesses. The method used in this study is the survey method which is analyzed using Rank Spearman and the number of respondents in this study were 25 respondents.  From the results of the research analysis, Farmers characteristics include: age, education, income, number of dependents and bussiness experience. From the results of the research analysis, it was found that the level of motivation of fish farmers is seen from 6 indicators namely 3 indicators of intrinsic motivation (willingness, hope, enthusiasm)and 3 indicators of extrinsic motivation (rewards, income, market opportunities), the more dominant indicator is the intrinsic motivation indicator with a score of 48%,and extrinsic motivation indicators 44%. The relationship of characteristics with the motivation of fish farmers stated, the relationship of intrinsic motivation related to age, education, and business experience has a significant relationship, the relationship between intrisic motivation with income and the number of family dependents is not significant. And extrinsic motivation relations related to age, education, number of family dependents and business experience have a significant relationship, the relationship between extrinsic motivation and income is not significant.        Keywords: Relationships, characteristics, motivation business, fish farmer.

Abstract

                                              ABSTRACT This research was conducted in July 2018 in the Kalangan District of Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province, on Community Participation in developing marine tourism in Mursala Island. This study aims to find out how the form and level of community participation in the marine tourism destination of Mursala Island. The method used is the survey method with the number of respondents as many as 25 people from 100 populations and distributed questionnaires to respondents.The results of the study show that most of the people in the village have a livelihood as fishermen and have a side livelihood as a tour guide on the island of Mursala. The form of community participation in the development of marine tourism involves directly those who provide lodging, tour guides and security guards. Indirect participation, namely tourists, cleaning guards, cooperative management and fishing households. The level of community participation in the development of marine tourism in Mursala Island is divided into 4 categories, namely, planning based on the data that is known that the community interviewed with the participation rate is still at a moderate level amounting to 44%. Management is based on known data that the community with a low level of participation is 48%. Decision making is based on data that is known that the community interviewed with a low level of participation is 64%. The level of control participation is based on the data that is known that the people interviewed with a low level of participation are 56%. From the results of research carried out in the village circles about community participation in the development of the island of Mursala is still said to be at a low stage, starting from the utilization of the maritime area, providing lodging, tour guides, providing transportation and so on. Keywords: Community Participation, Community Based Tourism, Mursala Island

Abstract

ABSTRACTCommunity of Silalahi III Village mostly looked at fish farmers using floating net cages in Lake Toba waters, based on Presidential Decree No. 81 of 2014 in terms of cultivation area control, conducted fish folk. This research discusses the characteristics of fish farmers and the change of livelihood of fish farmers in Silalahi III Village, Silahisabungan Sub-district, Dairi Regency. The research method used survey method with data retrieval technique that is in-depth interview, field documentation and questionnaire analyzed descriptively qualitative.             The results showed the characteristics of fish farmers in the village of Silalahi III age group is very productive 15-45 years old; high school / senior high school; the number of family dependents is less than 4 people; and cultivation experience less than 3 years. The application of Pepres 81/2014 resulted in a change in the livelihood of fish cultivators, namely income decreased 14.81%; 37% employment diversification and total employment decreased by 3.70%; food consumption decreased 22.23%; social condition is cooperation relationship not continue and respondent have other job opportunity; human resources do not follow training continuously; sanitation cleanliness (clean water source 7.4% switched to lake water, all respondents had their own toilet and 51.85% and 48.14% semipermanent house housing with cement and board floor). Based on these changes, fish farmers in Silalahi III Village can still meet their daily needs. Key words : Characteristics, Livelihood Changes, Fish Farmer, Initial and Final Condition

Abstract

                                               AbstrakThis study was aimed to find out how the perception of parents whose children dropout in junior high school. In addition, this study also focuses on determining the relationship between parents' opinions about school dropout and the characteristics of respondents in the Perlis village Pangkalan Berandan subdistrict Langkat district North Sumatra province. With the respondents no less than 32 people are parents whose children drop out.The results of this study indicate that the perception of the parents were whole parents who did not go to school to experience that good education for children. Education is important for the future of the child. Children's behavior can also be influenced by education. Children who stop schooling at an equivalent lower level usually do not think of education because they are busy to earn an income. The research results showed that the parent-perception relationship with the fishermen's character had a significant relationship with income, the number of dependent and fishery education levels. It seems that the income, the number of dependents and the level of education have a relationship with the perceptions of parents. Keywords: Education, Perception, Fishermen
