Abstract

The research was to knowing effectivenes of sand Sea-cucumber (Holothuria scabra) flour to maskulinization fish of cupang (Betta splendens) are held in Desember 2011 until February 2012. The research method used experiment method with design of experiment are complete random device (RAL). The research consits of three treatment are treatmen of B (dose of sea-cucumber 10 mg/l), treatment of C (dose of sea-cucumber 20 mg/l), treatment of D (dose of sea-cucumber 30 mg/l), while control consist of treatment of A (dose of sea-cucumber 0 mg/l) and treatment of E (17α-metiltestosteron dose 10 mg/l) with 3 times restating. Treatment of sand sea-cucumber flour are given for larva fish of cupang wich old age 4 day with soaking during 6 hour. Observed parameter are the male sex ratio, pass of life and environmental factor are the temperature, pH, Oxygen content dissolved and carbondioxyde content dissolved, while data are analyzed with ANAVA resulth and further rested by LSD at 5% level of confidence. The results of experiment showed that teh highest percentage of male fish at treatment of D (dose 30 mg/l) are 66,66% and the lowets of treatment of A (dose 0 mg/l) are 39,77%. From these results it can be concluded that the sand sea-cucumber flour hae given to test larva effectiv to maskulinization fish of cupang female become male.Keyword: Betta splendens, Sand sea-cucunber flour, 17α-metiltestosteron and maskulinization

Abstract

This study aims to determine species diversity of butterfly (Subordo Rhopalocera) in the tourisms area Hapanasan and designing learning sources are the relevant to biodiversity concept based on these results. Observation were conducted from April to June 2013. Determination of the research station by purposive random sampling, that determined based on differences characteristics of habitat. Station I is a secondary forest area, station II is a tourisms park area, station III is a rubber plantations area and station IV is an oil palm plantations. Biological parameters measured are species composition of butterfly (Subordo Rhopalocera) and species diversity index of butterfly (Subordo Rhopalocera). The measured physical parameters include are temperature, humidity and wind speed. Based on the results of the study, founded 194 individual of butterflies. They are consist of 60 species belong to 5 families include Hesperiidae (2 species), Papilionidae (10 species), Pieridae (9 species), Nymphalidae (36 species) and Lycaenidae (3 species). The highest number of species were founded at station II, station IV, station III and the lowest founded at station I. The highest species diversity index were founded at station II (H '=3.23), and the lowest at station I (H '=2.10). The collection and photo of speciments can be used as a source of biology learning in senior high school class X on the biodiversity concept. Learning sources that made media insectarium, syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets.Keyword: Butterfly, Diversity, Hapanasan, Learning sources

Abstract

A  surveys  of  three  station  along  the  nesting  beach  for  distribution  nesting  analysis  with  beach characteristics  and  microclimatic  nesting  green  turtles  Chelonia  mydas in  Pulau  Jemur-Riau  was conducted  in  April- July  2002.  The  spatial  distribution  along  the  nesting  beach  namely  the  nesting abundant at highest the beach slope are 24°-31°, the grain sizes are medium sand (MZ = 2,18) and coarse sand (MZ =1,34). Temporary distribution in the nesting begins in April, extends through May and June, and   decreases  during  July.   The  coral  stones  are  limiting  factor  for     landing  beach   success.   The characteristic   of  nesting   (beach   slope)   indicate  microclimatic  effect  on   nesting  and  impacted  for distribution  was reducing abundant of nesting.  Canopy  vegetation  at highest beach  slope are 30° had microclimatic effect on nesting.   Key words : Distribution, microclimatic, nesting, green turtles, Pulau Jemur

Abstract

Has conducted research to determine the professional skills of the 21st century science in the district Tualang, Siak Sri Indrapura district in August-September 2013. Determined in consideration of the study sample, the science teacher who taught in class VII Academic Year 2012-2013 as many as 35 teachers from 13 junior high. The research instrument was a questionnaire using a scale covered by the linker. The data analyzed in the frequency, tabulated and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that Min digital age literacy scores of 4.31 (very good). The highest value of 4.63 (very good) that science gathers knowledge from a variety of sources and the lowest value of 3.83 (good) to collect the necessary information science. Literacy effective communication 4.30 (very good), the highest score of 4.66 cooperating (very good) and the lowest value of each act as a leader and member with the value of 3.89 (good) and 3.80 (both) that emotion if not respected. Constraints of women educators in implementing science skills namely: 1) searching for information science skills, 2) skills to act as leaders and members, and 3) the skills to control emotions if not respected.Keyword: science skills, digital age literacy, effective communication, female science teacher educators.

Abstract

The study has been conducted to determine the structure of horn beetle populations (Orycetes rhinoceros) In Palm Oil Plantation Village Community Kenantan - Riau Kampar regency, held in June-September 2011. Determination of purposive sampling stations were done by considering the age of oil palm trees found in the study site. Samples taken Orycetes rhinoceros with three ways, namely, using mist nets, ferotrap, and direct sampling. Parameters measured include: biological parameters of abundance, age structure, and biomass. While the physical-chemical parameters of temperature, humidity, and wind speed. The results showed that the population abundance at the station I found the pupa 43 tail, tail imago1 73, and 60 head while imago2 abundance at station II, the pupa 30 tails, 61 imago1 imago2 tails and 40 tails, the highest abundance occurred in August and abundance lowest occurred in June, the age structure is most commonly found in the age structure of the imago1 stadia breeding period and the highest biomass of biomass on imago1 stadia. Keywords: Coleoptera, Orycetes rhinoceros.
