Abstract

COVID-19 is a global health problem. The number of positive cases keep increasing globally towards the end of 2020, including in Indonesia. This is a challenging situation for the healthcare workers who provide services to the patient without knowing whether the patients infected by COVID-19 or not, especially for those who work in emergency unit of the hospital. This study aims to explore the stressors and coping strategies among emergency unit healthcare workers in Tanjungpinang, Indonesia. The sample was taken from the emergency unit of Raja Ahmad Tabib Kepulauan Riau Regional Public Hospital as the only referral hospital in Tanjungpinang. Data was collected through interview and then analyze by using thematic analysis approach. The result shows that the source of stress that the emergency unit healthcare workers feel during Covid-19 pandemic is the fear of contacting the disease, fear of infecting family members, as well as negative perceptions from the public. As for the coping methods, it was found out that the emergency unit healthcare workers adhere to health protocol, adding insight on Covid-19 related issues, performing religious activities, adopting healthier lifestyle, seeking social support, and doing relaxing activities in the spare time.

Abstract

The fast-mutating COVID-19 virus requires business actors in Indonesia to adapt quickly, not least for business actors in the tourism industry such as Bintan Black Coral which is located in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. This study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by Bintan Black Coral and formulate strategies that can be implemented while operating during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study adopted a qualitative method using interviews and observations as data collection techniques. The data were then analyzed using the IFE, EFE, and SWOT analysis matrixes. The results show that Bintan Black Coral is in relatively good condition internally and is relatively able to take advantage of opportunities and minimize the threats it faces. The results of the SWOT analysis reveal strategies that can be adopted by Bintan Black Coral during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as strategies that can be implemented continuously

Abstract

With limited human resources, organizations are required and expected to be able to optimize them so that the organizational goals that have been set can be achieved. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of leader member exchange, competence, and quality of work life on employee job satisfaction at PT. BPR Central Sejahtera partially or simultaneously. This research uses associative quantitative research. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, questionnaires and literature study, this study used a saturated sample of 32 people. From the results of job satisfaction data analysis shows that there is a significant influence between the independent variables, namely leader member exchange, competence, and quality of work life on the dependent variable, namely job satisfaction, this is indicated by the t-count value of leader member exchange 4.639, the t-count value of competence 3.473, the t-count value of quality of work life is 5.023, which is greater than t-table 2.048. Y = 0.757 + 0.658 X1 + 0.275 X2 + 0.163 X3 + e. From the equation above, it can be seen that the independent variables that have the most influence on job satisfaction are leader member exchange compared to others, namely competence, and quality of work life.

Abstract

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia had a considerable impact on MSMEs (Micro Small and Medium Enterprieses), including cafes. Red n Blue Café which operates in Tanjungpinang City is one of the cafes that is affected by COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges faced by Red n Blue Café during the pandemic and formulate the Red n Blue Café business strategy in dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The method adopted in this study is qualitative. The data were collected by interview, observations and literature studies. The data was then processed by using the IFE matrix, EFE matrix, and SWOT matrix. As a result, the Red n Blue Café strategy can be categorized into general strategies and pandemic specific strategies. Digital marketing and e-commerce can be an option for Red n Blue Café both during the pandemic and in normal times.Keywords : Strategy, Strategic Mangement, SWOT Analysis..AbstrakPandemi COVID-19 yang melanda Indonesia memberikan dampak yang cukup besar terhadap UMKM, termasuk café. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Red n Blue Café di masa pandemic serta merumuskan strategi bisnis Red n Blue Café dalam menghadapi pandemic COVID-19 yang sedang berlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi kepustakaan sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Data kemudian diolah menggunakan matriks IFE, matriks EFE, dan matriks SWOT. Hasilnya, strategi Red n Blue Café dapat dikategorikan menjadi strategi umum dan strategi di masa pandemi. Digital marketing dan e-commerce dapat menjadi pilihan yang dijalankan baik di masa pandemi maupun di masa normal.Kata Kunci : Strategi, Manajemen Strategik, Analisa SWOT

Abstract

Abstract Purpose: This study aims to explore the entrepreneurial motivation behind food and beverage MSMEs in Tanjungpinang during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This study adopted a qualitative method. A total of 11 food and beverage MSMEs owners in Tanjungpinang that started their businesses in 2020 and 2021 were interviewed. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data gathered. Result: The result of this study shows that financial rewards, independence, personal satisfaction, as well as the existence of opportunities as the driving forces behind a person’s decision to become an entrepreneur in the food and beverages industry in Tanjungpinang during the COVID-19 pandemic. This finding hopefully may give insight into the motivation behind an individual decision to become an entrepreneur in the food and beverages industry and why the number of food and beverages MSMEs is increasing.

Abstract

Stress is unavoidable in human life, including in working environment. Many researchers have reported different source of the stress and coping methods for the employees in general. However, little has been done to explore the source of the stress and coping methods specifically for newly hired employees. This study, using qualitative design, tried to look at the source of the stress in working environment specifically for the newly hired employees. Data were collected through interview with 4 participants who are working in private sector in Malaysia. The result of the study shows that the source of stress ranging from the nature of the job, task related stressor, new environment and also unsupportive environment, and their coping methods including escapism, seek for social support and informational help. This result, however cannot be generalized, however, it may help in understanding and appreciate the uniqueness in employees perception of stressors and effective coping methods

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in improving the Indonesian economy. MSMEs were not affected by external pressures so they were able to survive and grow when the crisis hit in 1998. Marketing is the ability of a person or a managerial effort to make a person or a group obtain what they want by offering or exchanging products with other valuable parties. The digital marketing media that is often used is Google Business. The method of activity carried out is outreach to MSME actors in preparing good and effective marketing plans and providing information on how to market products online and offline and providing an understanding of how to make a product branding so that it can be recognized by many consumers. The results of the service got good results by the participants who took part in the bazaar activities carried out by students of the STIE Pembangunan Tanjungpinang KKN. Keywords : Marketing, Branding, Logo and MSMEs ABSTRAK Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian Indonesia. UMKM tidak terpengaruh oleh tekanan eksternal sehingga mampu bertahan dan tumbuh ketika krisis melanda tahun 1998. Pemasaran adalah kemampuan seseorang ataupun suatu usaha manajerial yang membuat seseorang atau suatu kelompok memperoleh apa yang mereka inginkan dengan melakukan penawaran maupun melakukan pertukaran produk kepada pihak lain yang berharga [5]. Salah satu media digital marketingyang sering digunakan adalah Googe Bisnis. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi kepada para pelaku UMKM dalam menyusun rencana pemasaran yang baik dan efektif serta memberikan informasi mengenai bagaimana masarkan produk secara online maupun offline serta memberikan pemahaman bagaimana membuat suatu branding produk agar bisa dikenal oleh banyak konsumen. Hasil dari pengabdian mendapatkan hasil yang baik oleh peserta yang ikut dalam kegiatan bazar yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa KKN STIE Pembangunan Tanjungpinang. Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penyusunan anggaran biaya operasional, menganilis selisih anggaran biaya operasional dengan merealisasinya dan menganalisis peran anggaran biaya operasional sebagai alat perencanaan laba PT. Tanjung Untung Tanjungpinang. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan analisis varians yaitu terjadi selisih tidak menguntungkan (unfavourable) pada biaya operasional di tahun 2011 smpai dengan tahun 2013, hal ini menunjukkan belum efektifnya anggaran yang dibuat perusahaan. Hasil perhitungan untuk perencanaan laba menunjukkan bahwa margin kontribusi tahun 2011-2013 sebesar 8%, 7% dan 8% hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dan penurunan laba perusahaan

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi dan keterampilan kepada UMKM keripik bayam dan keripik talas Ibu Susi di Desa Toapaya dalam pelabelan dan pengemasan produk, mulai dari desain, model desain, logo, pembentukan, hingga pengerjaan akhir. Observasi, praktik, wawancara, dan percakapan merupakan beberapa metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini. Kegiatan ini diselesaikan sesuai dengan prosedur yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Pelaku UMKM tidak hanya memiliki ide kemasan yang inovatif dan menarik, namun juga memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai kemasan produk. Berdasarkan hasil survei kemasan baru, responden merasa puas dengan kemasan baru yang diperuntukkan bagi pelaku UMKM. Dengan kata lain, kemasan segar dapat menarik konsumen.
