Abstract

The activity of playing an online game in a person will affect the value of student learning motivation. This study was aimed to know the effect of student activity on the online game to student learning activity in class X SMAN 1 Silangkitang. The research was used a quantitative method with the sample were 140 students by a total sampling technique. The instrument of this research used an online game activity and a student learning questioner. The data analysis technique used a simple correlation. The result showed that the online game frequency was 74.5%, the time of playing an online game was 68.2%, playing a popular game online was 72.9%, and playing a game online 48%. The total resulted in R = 0.349 with the total t-total > t-table was 4.373 > 0.159 with a total significant 5%, which means that there was an effect on student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student misconception about the respiratory system material in SMA Negeri as Labuhanbatu District and to identify whether there is misconception. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri as Labuhanbatu Regency. The population in this study is all students of SMA Negeri in Labuhanbatu District, by using diagnostic test. The results showed that misconception occurred in students. The results of the analysis to show that the misconception of the students on the respiratory material, on the concept of respiration in the concept of human respiratory equipment (K2), the concept of gas exchange (K4), the concept of abnormalities and diseases of the human respiratory system (K 5) concept of the invertebrate animal (insect) (K 6) respiratory system. Based on the findings can be analyzed misconceptions on the students of the respiratory material identified misconception on the whole concept and need to improve the concept of teacher knowledge through training so that teachers can help students in understanding the concept so as to avoid the occurrence of misconception.Keywords: Misconception, Respiration, Biology’s Student

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap: (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) kecakapan sosial, dan (3) hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi polusi lingkungan di Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Yayasan Universitas Labuhanbatu. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 3 kelas ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas A dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kelas B dengan model  pembelajaran inkuiri, sedangkan kelas C (kontrol) dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam bentuk uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analisis Kovariat (ANAKOVA) pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan bantuan SPSS 21.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis (F=10,379; P=0,000). Kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) (80,200 6,073) tidak berbeda secara statistik dengan mahasiswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model inkuiri (79,700 7,813), tetapi kedua model PBM dan inkuiri lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan model konvensional (73,000 10,198).Kata Kunci: Inkuiri, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis,  Konvensional, dan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' interest in learning biology in class X Clump Lintas Interest at SMAN 1 Bilah Hilir. Interest is a sense of liking and a sense of attachment to a thing or activity, without anyone telling. Cross Interest Clusters are subjects that can be taken by students outside the chosen Specialization Subject Group but are still in other Specialization Groups. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection in this study was carried out by means of: observation, questionnaires and interviews. Calculation of data analysis using a Likert scale with the provisions of 4 = strongly agree, 3 = agree, 2 = disagree, 1 = strongly disagree). The results of this study indicate that students' interest in learning biology in the cross-interest cluster of class X students at SMAN 1 Bilah Hilir has an interest in learning biology with an average percentage of 76.05% including in the high category. Interest in learning biology consists of 74.13% (high category), 74.29% interest (high category), 76.90% interest (high category), and 75.89% involvement (high category).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the perception of high school biology teachers towards Biology Pratikum during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Rantauprapat City. This type of research uses quantitative with the method used is descriptive. The population of this research is 17 public high school teachers in Rantauprapat city with total sampling of 17 public high school teachers in Rantauprapat city. The data collection technique was carried out by giving a questionnaire to the teacher regarding the teacher's perception of the science practicum during the COVID-19 pandemic using the google form while the indicators in this study were (1) Ready to carry out the practicum; (2) Not ready to carry out practicum; (3) Not ready to carry out the practicum. The results of this study indicate that the indicator one Ready to carry out practicum scores 97.28%; Then the second indicator Not ready to carry out the practicum got a score of 82.22% and the third indicator Not ready to carry out the practicum got a score of 76.19%. In the end, the teacher stated that he still found it difficult to carry out practical activities during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning difficulties of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Marbau in the implementation of science practicum. The learning difficulties studied include four main indicators, namely infrastructure facilities, practicum implementation process, technical constraints, and mastery of theory. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with total sampling technique as many as 167 students as respondents. Data were obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using a percentage approach. The results showed that the highest difficulty lies in the aspect of infrastructure facilities with a very high category (82.25%), followed by the practicum implementation process (78.8%) and technical constraints (75.5%) which are included in the high category. Meanwhile, mastery of theory was classified as low in difficulty (36.6%), indicating an imbalance between students' conceptual understanding and practicum skills. These findings indicate the need for improvements in the provision of laboratory facilities, training in science process skills, and the design of more authentic practicum activities to improve students' overall scientific competence.

Abstract

Community service activities in Afdeling 1 Rantauprapat Village, which will be held in August 2025, aim to improve digital literacy skills, strengthen business legality, and optimize the potential of local assets to strengthen the community's economy. This program is implemented using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes the development of internal community strengths through the use of existing social, economic, and cultural assets. The activity process was carried out for one month by involving ten participants consisting of business actors, village officials, and students who acted as facilitators through the service-learning method. Activities include practical digital literacy training, business legality assistance through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, and the establishment of a collaborative network between participants and related institutions. The results showed a significant increase in the participants' ability to utilize digital technology for product promotion and sales, with an average increase in turnover of 25% and a participation rate of 95%. In addition, this activity has a positive impact on increasing confidence, legal awareness, and women's active involvement in productive economic activities. The application of the ABCD method has proven effective in strengthening social solidarity, building trust between stakeholders, and creating empowerment models that can be replicated in other regions with similar socioeconomic characteristics.
