Abstract

Welcome drink is an added value that enhances the Indonesian hospitality in the hotel industry, especially if it is made with spices such as curcuma, cinnamon, lemon, and brown sugar however industries that make typical curcuma beverage are often found to use excessive sugar and tend to turn off the distinctive taste of curcuma, besides that it also has an adverse effect on health.This research is an applied research which aims to make a beverage from curcuma and cinnamon with a mathematical approach at the end of the making process, a mathematical model can be simulated by numerical computation so that information on sugar levels are normal and reasonable for consumption in the welcome drink that has been made. Result of the research obtained 1st  order homogeneous linear differential equation   and simulation results using 40-80 gram sugar obtained a constant rate of change in sugar substances of  or equivalent to 9-120 brix

Abstract

Wisata Pinus Songgon adalah salah satu daya tarik wisata yang berada di kaki Gunung Raung, Desa Sumberbulu, Kecamatan Songgon. Wisatawan dapat menikmati kesejukan udara di bawah jajaran pohon pinus. Suasana sejuk dan tenang menjadi sasaran wisatawan untuk menikmati alam secara alami. Pandemi COVID-19 di akhir 2019 dan di awal 2020 yang melanda Indonesia dan juga membuat Wisata Pinus Songgon tutup total. Data menunjukkan tahun 2018 sebanyak 134.299 pengunjung dan pada tahun 2019 sebanyak 77.782 pengunjung, angka tersebut cukup bagus mengingat Wisata Pinus Songgon adalah destinasi baru di Banyuwangi. Setelah era kebiasaan baru digulirkan dan untuk membiasakan hal tersebut dan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan lagi jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, perlu adanya Bimbingan Teknis (BIMTEK) kepada pengelola untuk melakukan suatu strategi dan langkah nyata menyambut kebiasaan baru dibidang pariwisata mulai dari tata kelola manajemen destinasi/Destination Management Organization (DMO) hingga strategi pemasaran sehingga Wisata Pinus Songgon dapat menjadi destiniasi pariwisata berkelanjutan (sustainable tourism). Kegiatan yang melibatkan masyarakat lokal dan pengelola Wisata Pinus Songgon menjadi kegiatan yang inspiratif dan inofatif terutama dalam tata kelola manajemen destinasi terlihat dengan telah dibukanya spot foto selfie baru yang harapannya menjadi atraksi yang menarik pengunjung untuk kembali ke Wisata Pinus Songgon.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid 19 di akhir 2109 dan di awal 2020 yang melanda Indonesia juga membuat wisata air terjun Kedung Angin tutup total, hasil observasi dengan Mitra daya tarik ini dikelola langsung oleh Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) Pakel, namun dengan pengelolaan di bidang pariwisata mulai dari tata kelola hingga strategi pemasaran yang kacau mengingat SDM nya masih minim pemahaman dan pengetahuan. Menyambut kebiasaan baru pariwisata maka tim pelaksana Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat melakukan Bimbingan Teknis (Bimtek) kepada pengelola untuk melakukan suatu strategi dan langkah nyata dalam bidang Digitalisasi Promosi berbasis website dan media sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah bimbingan teknis berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi peserta khususnya dibidang promosi pariwisata yang mana konsep Bimtek dengan pendekatan Pariwisata Berbasis Masyarakat dan Ekowisata. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berdampak nyata dari sisi tata kelola Air Terjun Kedung Angin yang mulai lebih bersih dan lebih baik dari sebelumnya disamping itu pengelola melalui pemuda desa mulai sadar dengan melakukan promosi melalui media sosial dan memanfaatkan website https://kedungangin.com lebih maksimal. Harapan Tim PKM kepada pengelola agar dapat bersinergi dengan pihak-pihak terkait dalam melakukan digitaliasasi promosi sehingga dapat melestarikan lingkungan, mengedepankan kearifan lokal, dan menggerakkan UMKM di Desa Pakel dan lingkungan sekitar Air Terjun Kedung Angin.

Abstract

Lider adalah salah satu dusun di Desa Sumberarum merupakan salah satu destinasi pariwisata di Banyuwangi dengan daya tarik utama adalah Air Terjun Lider yang merupkan air terjun tertinggi di Banyuwangi, lokasinya lumayan terpencil baik dari akses maupun fasilitas umum yang masih minim dengan jumlah penduduk yang relatif rendah sumber daya manusianya terutama pada bidang pariwisata. Oleh sebab itu tim pelaksana Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Program Studi Manajemen Bisnis Pariwisata (MBP) Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi bekerja sama dengan mitra yaitu Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Desa Sumberarum dan warga Dusun Bejong dalam bentuk Sosialisasi Penerapan Sapta Pesona Dalam Perencanaan Dan Pengembangan Destinasi Pariwisata Berkelanjutan Di Lider Desa Sumberarum Kecamatan Songgon Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini disambut positif oleh seluruh warga masyarakat dan membuat mitra terbuka pandangan tentang perkembangan dunia pariwisata saat ini. Selain itu hasil kegiatan PKM ini mulai berwujud dengan pembukaan kembali akses rute menuju daya tarik Batu Meja yang berpotensi menjadi daya tarik wisata alam trekking dan petualangan.

Abstract

The study identifies appropriate Mind Mapping techniques to enhance the Tourism and Business Management Students’ writing ability. This particular research was categorized as action research which consists of some steps namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. There were two kinds of data used in this research, qualitative data and quantitative data. The qualitative data were gained from classroom observation and interview and transformed into field notes and interview transcripts by using qualitative data analysis. The implementation of mind mapping as one of techniques successfully improved students’ ability and motivation in learning writing. Mind mapping helped the students in generating and developing their ideas and help them easily in way of collecting information in writing descriptive text about tourism destination.

Abstract

Banyuwangi develops the tourism sector intensively by strengthening tourism businesses and the creative economy by optimizing the potential of Banyuwangi's typical culinary products. The tourism potential of Blimbingsari beach in the form of grilled fish culinary tourism is one of the magnets for tourists to visit Blimbingsari. Cleanliness and grooming of waiters who serve visitors need to be improved. The results of observations in the field show that the cleanliness of the grilled fish culinary stalls at Blimbingsari beach is not being maximized. So training is needed regarding the sequence of service which aims to improve service quality. The methods used in this PkM activity are observation, needs analysis, providing training and creating a sequence of service SOP. Training activities in the Blimbingsari beach grilled fish culinary business group are not only provided with direct training and practice regarding the sequence of service, but also how to greet and groom properly, use appropriate and hygienic cutleries, make napkin art to beautify the appearance of visitors' dining tables, as well as arranging SOP sequence of service to provide excellent service to all visitors who enjoy the Blimbingsari beach grilled fish culinary tour. By increasing of knowledge and skill as 70% in service quality, it is hoped that the number of visitors who will enjoy the Blimbingsari beach grilled fish culinary tour will increase.

Abstract

Training and Competency Improvement Program for Homestay Managers in Tambong Village is a solution that can be offered to overcome the problem of low skills in the field of accommodation, especially front office and housekeeping, which can have an impact on the satisfaction of visiting tourists. Inadequate skills will also have an impact on the selling power of homestays. The majority of local residents only rent out houses without being equipped with the facilities and services needed by tourists. Tambong is one of the new tourist sites that is expected to become a mainstay of Banyuwangi and many tourists so that it is very necessary to include accommodation that includes the surrounding community, namely utilizing their homes as homestays that meet the standards. Therefore, with this, it is hoped that Banyuwangi State Polytechnic can participate in helping to solve partner problems with the capabilities possessed by the research team from Banyuwangi State Polytechnic. The solution chosen is training, competency certification and providing modules as well as full beds for rooms. The results of this service are certified competence in the field of front office and housekeeping and room settings that are suitable for homestays.

Abstract

In understanding the sustainability of Blimbingsari Beach, community service activities are carried out at Blimbingsari Beach. Blimbingsari Beach is famous for its grilled fish culinary and has a very strategic location close to Blimbingsari Banyuwangi Airport. The problem at Blimbingsari Beach is the lack of optimal management in arranging the number of tourist visits which is not balanced with the capacity of the beach area, environmental factors and management factors. The second problem is related to beach cleanliness which contradicts the culinary of grilled fish which is a characteristic of Blimbingsari Beach. The purpose of this service activity is to provide understanding to the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in managing visitors and provide ecobrick making training to POKDARWIS and the surrounding community which can be a solution in overcoming both existing problems. The methods used in this activity start from coordination, socialization, training implementation to evaluation. The result of the first problem is in the form of understanding and applying the tourist attraction carrying capacity platform to find out the maximum number of tourist visits at Blimbingsari Beach so that visitors still get satisfaction and continue to pay attention to environmental factors. This is in accordance with the concept of sustainable tourism. The result of the second problem is the ability of POKDARWIS and the surrounding community to make ecobricks and the existence of an ecobrick-based tourist information board placed on Blimbingsari Beach.
