Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Work-Life Balance and Employee Engagement on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at five private banks in Palembang. Amidst the dynamics of the banking industry that demands high productivity, a deep understanding of employee well-being and emotional engagement is crucial to maintaining organizational performance. The research method used was quantitative. The population in this study amounted to 340 employees. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with the determination of the sample size using the Slovin formula at a 10% error rate, resulting in a total of 77 respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) to comprehensively examine the relationships between variables. The results showed that Work-Life Balance and Employee Engagement have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, which in turn significantly impacts employee performance. The R2 value for the job satisfaction variable was 0.898, indicating that 89.8% of the variation in job satisfaction can be explained by Work-Life Balance and Employee Engagement. Meanwhile, the R2 value for employee performance reached 0.951, indicating that 95.1% of the variation in performance is influenced by the three main variables in the model, while the remaining 4.9% is influenced by factors outside this study. To improve the performance of private banking in Palembang, management needs to adopt a holistic approach through wellness program policies and strengthening an inclusive work culture to prevent burnout. In addition, regular workload audits and improving leadership quality through leadership by example are needed to maintain motivation. By aligning incentive systems, mentor quality, and support for mental health, banks can create a more solid, productive, and sustainable work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of financial ratios on firm value with profit growth as a moderating variable in Indonesian Acquisition Companies, both directly and indirectly. The population in this study are all Acquisition Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2022 period, by taking samples using a purposive sampling method, where the determination of the sample is based on certain criteria. Based on these criteria, seven companies were sampled in this study. Data analysis used in this research is to use the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method which is operated through the views 12 program. The results of this study indicate that the variable financial ratios consisting of liquidity ratios, leverage ratios, profitability ratios and activity ratios both directly and significantly influence firm value, as well as indirectly, where liquidity ratios, leverage ratios, profitability ratios and ratios activity has a significant effect on firm value through profit growth. The results of the determinant coefficient test can be interpreted that the independent variable is able to explain or is able to describe the dependent variable as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of training and job placement on employee performance with work discipline as a moderating variable at the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency of Banyuasin Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach using a census method, involving all 77 employees of Bappeda Litbang Banyuasin Regency as respondents. Research data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS version 3.0 software. The results indicate that training and job placement have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work discipline is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, the moderation effect testing shows that work discipline does not moderate the relationship between training and employee performance, nor between job placement and employee performance. These findings suggest that improvements in employee performance are primarily influenced by the direct effects of training, job placement, and work discipline itself, without the role of work discipline as a moderating variable in the relationship among these variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation and bureaucratic leadership on employee performance with job satisfaction as a moderating variable at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of South Sumatra Province. The study used a quantitative descriptive-correlational approach with a census method on 57 Government Employees with Work Agreements (P3K). Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire supported by interviews and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM with the help of SmartPLS version 3.2.9. The results of the analysis indicate that digital transformation and bureaucratic leadership have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Job satisfaction is also proven to contribute significantly to improving employee performance. However, testing the moderation effect shows that job satisfaction is unable to moderate the relationship between digital transformation and bureaucratic leadership with employee performance. This indicates that employee performance is more influenced by the direct influence of each of these variables. The research findings indicate that improving employee performance in the public sector is mainly influenced by the effectiveness of digital transformation and bureaucratic leadership. Although job satisfaction plays a role in improving performance, this variable does not function as a moderator. Therefore, performance improvement efforts need to focus on strengthening technology implementation and bureaucratic leadership, along with increasing employee job satisfaction. This study was limited to a single government agency with 57 respondents, which may limit the generalizability of the results. Other potential influencing factors, such as organizational culture or external conditions, were not examined in this study. This study provides theoretical contributions regarding the relationship between digital transformation and leadership in public sector performance. Practically, this research provides guidance for policymakers and agencies in developing initiatives that integrate technology, leadership, and job satisfaction to optimize organizational outcomes.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in driving regional economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and preserving cultural heritage through the development of the batik industry. However, the increasing level of competition in the batik industry requires every business actor to have appropriate development strategies in order to enhance competitiveness and maintain business sustainability. Griya Batik Gabovira, as one of the MSMEs in Bandar Lampung City, faces various challenges, such as competition with batik products from other regions, changes in consumer preferences, and the development of marketing technology. This study aims to analyze the development strategies implemented by Griya Batik Gabovira in enhancing the competitiveness of the batik industry. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results show that the development strategies implemented include improving product quality, innovating batik motifs that promote local Lampung culture, developing human resource competencies, utilizing digital media as a marketing tool, and expanding collaboration networks through various promotional activities and exhibitions. The implementation of these strategies has been able to increase product added value, expand market share, and strengthen business competitiveness amid the increasingly competitive batik industry. Therefore, continuous innovation and the ability to adapt to changing market needs are important factors in supporting the sustainability and competitiveness of the MSME Griya Batik Gabovira.
