Abstract

Musik merupakan salah satu sarana yang dapat digunakan oleh setiap individu untuk menyampaikan komunikasi dengan cara yang berbeda, yaitu melalui suara karena salah satu tujuan musik sebagai media berkomunikasi. Lagu yang terbentuk dari hubungan antara unsur musik dengan unsur syair atau lirik lagu merupakan media yang digunakan dalam menyampaikan pesan oleh komunikator kepada komunikan dalam jumlah yang besar melalui media massa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dalam lirik lagu. Dimana dalam sebuah lirik lagu memiliki sebuah pesan yang ingin disampaikan pencipta dan penyanyi kepada pendegarnya. Pada penelitian ini, menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika dari Ferdinand de Saussure dimana objek yang digunakan adalah sebuah lirik lagu dengan membagi keseluruhan lirik lagu menjadi beberapa bait dan selanjutnya perbait akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori semiotika dari Ferdinand de Saussure. Model teori dari Saussure lebih memfokuskan perhatian langsung kepada signified (petanda) dan signifier (penanda) serta hubungan sintagmatik dan paradigmatik. Hasil penelitian dari lirik lagu "Komang" bahwa lagu dapat dijadikan media komunikasi ekspresi cinta yang mencerminkan kerinduan dan kekaguman yang mendalam terhadap suatu objek. Ditemukan juga hasil penelitian terkait pengaruh sosial yang dirasakan masyarakat berupa perasaan emosional tentang perjuangan dan harapan.

Abstract

The childfree phenomenon, defined as a conscious decision not to have children, has sparked public debate, especially after influencer Gita Savitri Devi (Gitasav) openly expressed her views on social media. Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era, represents an interesting group to study because they have extensive access to information and are accustomed to shaping opinions through social media platforms. This research aims to analyze Gen Z’s reception of the childfree discourse in Gitasav’s content using Stuart Hall’s reception theory, which categorizes audience responses into three positions: dominant hegemonic position, negotiated position, and oppositional position. The study employs a qualitative approach with the reception study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five Gen Z informants who are students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. The results show that Gen Z’s reception is divided into three main positions: (1) full acceptance of the childfree perspective as a form of individual freedom (dominant position), (2) selective acceptance by aligning it with cultural and religious values (negotiated position), and (3) complete rejection based on religious norms and social traditions (oppositional position). Factors such as religious background, cultural values, personal experiences, and the intensity of social media exposure influence the formation of these receptions. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to analyze the implementation of Muhammadiyah's education management policy in Jeneponto Regency and identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. The focus of the study refers to the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership Guidelines Number 1/Ped/I.0/B/2024 concerning Primary, Secondary, and Non-Formal Education. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants from the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership, the Elementary and Secondary Education Council, school principals, and students, as well as through observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on George C. Edwards III's policy implementation theory which includes variables of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results of the study show that the implementation of the policy has been carried out through intensive coordination between PDM and Muhammadiyah's Charity Enterprises, but still faces challenges in the aspects of resources and internal communication. The main supporting factors are the loyalty and high militancy of cadres in saving educational assets, as well as strong ideological support from the organization. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited facilities, a shortage of specialized human resources, and internal conflicts at the local level that impact management stability. This study concludes that despite technical and financial constraints, the ideological commitment of cadres is a key pillar maintaining the existence of Muhammadiyah education in Jeneponto Regency.
