Abstract

This study aims to find out how the framing in the news related to the destruction of the Musala in North Minahasa on the news of online  media Kompas.com in the period 30 January to 13 February 2020 and Republika.co.id for the period 30 January 2020 to 12 February 2020. This study uses a qualitative method. descriptive analysis with framing analysis by Robert N. Entman with four elements, namely defining the problem, diagnosing the cause, making moral judgments, and recommending treatment. This study focuses on news about the destruction of the Musala that occurred in North Minahasa. The results show that the framing of the news presented by Kompas.com media is objectivity in reporting the case of the destruction of the Musala in North Minahasa, by not taking sides with certain groups, as well as in explaining that Kompas.com refrains from writing in a safe style, as well as a narrow news perspective. while Republika.co.id is more daring in conveying facts and news that are presented in depth and viewed from various perspectives so that it is possible to find the aspirations of Muslims to get the right to get a Musala as a place of worship. The difference in the frame of the two media is influenced by the ideological factors of each media. Even though they have different framing, these two media want the incident of vandalism of places of worship in North Minahasa to be resolved peacefully.

Abstract

Media globalisasi telah memberikan dampak yang luar biasa untuk negara-negara berkembang sepertiIndonesia, terutama efek dalam hal budaya. Banda Aceh adalah kota yang terletak di barat Indonesiadan juga ibu kota provinsi. Sejak dekade Olden, masyarakat Aceh dikenal sebagai orang-orang yangmenjadikan Islam sebagai nilai-nilai, norma dan standar etika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal inijuga membuat panduan bagi masyarakat Aceh dalam melaksanakan sejumlah interaksi sosial. Namun,secara tidak langsung media Banda Aceh telah menyerap konten adalah globalisasi. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk melihat dampak media globalisasi terhadap identitas budaya anak muda di BandaAceh. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang mendalam, penelitian ini menggunakan dua pendekatan yangkuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei dan wawancara mendalam. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa media globalisasi telah mampu mempengaruhi kehidupan orang-orangmuda di Banda Aceh untuk meninggalkan budaya mereka sendiri dan kemudian melaksanakanbudaya lainnya. Nilai korea yang telah disampaikan melalui media di Aceh telah mampu menyerapbagi kaum muda di Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan zaman, model gaya hidup di kalangan masyarakat Aceh semakin berubah. Nongkrong di warung kopi yang awalnya merupakan bentuk budaya masyarakat Aceh, berubah menjadi ngongkrong di cafe. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengunjung melakukan aktivitas nongkrong untuk kebutuhan eksistensi dirinya, menikmati waktu luang, menghilangkan penat dan stress, aparat desa menanggapi aktivitas nongkrong ini memang pasti ada dikalangan remaja dan aparat desa menyetujui kegiatan nongkrong di pantai dengan catatan harus memperhatikan lingkungan dan mengikuti syariat yang berlaku

Abstract

The Jamaah Tabligh is a very unique group in their da’wah efforts involving each member of the group. This study aims to find out how the cohesiveness of such a group by studying the Jamaah Tabligh in Mesjid Cot Goh, Gampong Lamme Garot, Aceh Besar. The theory used in this study is the theory of Groupthink by focusing on the concept of cohesiveness. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out using structured interviews on five members of the Tabligh Jamaah and participatory observation. The results showed a high level of individual cohesiveness within the Jamaah Tabligh group measured by four dimensions of cohesiveness including social strength, unity in groups, attractiveness and group collaboration. The cohesiveness was based on the similarity of purpose in da'wah. This cohesiveness has indicated the symptoms of groupthink that appeared in deliberation for decision making in the group.

Abstract

This  article discusses the political communication of Russian President, Vladimir Putin who is  influential in the European region to dominate world politics along with the United States. This competition repeats the history of the Soviet Union when  President Mikhail Gorbachev took office. During Gorbachev's reign, Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union. Political competition between the West, the United States  and the Soviet Union, makes Putin a communicator of world politics rivaling European and American leaders. Following the split of the Soviet Union, there was a cold war between the United States and Russia, leading to the emergence of a single American superpower. By the end of 2021, Russia will have military units stationed close to the border with Ukraine. The reason behind the incident was Ukraine's desire to join NATO. Putin sent forces to assault Ukraine on February 24, 2022, as a result of this political phenomenon. Conspiracy theory is employed in this study. Agenda Setting uses a sustaining theory and Theory News construction from Bennett is considered suitable According to research, Tempo's international political news demonstrates Russia's commitment to regaining its former prominence through a variety of characteristics, including its economic and military prowess. Russia is  concerned about  NATO-US threats, and vice versa Thousands of civilians were murdered and maimed as a result of US-NATO paranoia about Russia,  leading to Russian military incursion into Ukraine. There was a global food crisis as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Abstract

Most children are interested in comics so that the media has the potential to be used in the learning and teaching process at school. We have developed and implemented comic strips for learning related to disasters in the fifth-grade science subject at SD Negeri Buengcala, Aceh Besar District. The designed materials were validated by experts and the attractiveness of the comic media was measured based on class observation during teaching and learning proceses related to students’ involvement and responses through the questionnaires. Quantitaively the questionnaries were scored (1 to 4) from too bad to very interested. The experts concluded that the media are valid with unrevised criteria including the attractiveness of media and language used. Based on the questionnaires, the students also agreed that the class was very interested. Therefore, the comic strip media can be developed potentially for disaster education at elementary schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada persepsi masyarakat Kota Banda Aceh terhadap adanya penerapan transit advertising pada Trans Koetaradja yang dimanfaatkan sebagai media promosi pariwisata dengan tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan hasil bagaimana persepsi yang diberikan oleh masyarakat terhadap iklan transit yang telah terpasang pada bus Trans Koetaradja. Fokus utama dalam penelitian ini terkait dengan indikator keefektifan media luar ruang yaitu: Jangkauan, Frekuensi, Kontinuitas, Ukuran, Desain Visual, dan Pengaruh. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif yaitu dengan menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah teori S-O-R yang menjelaskan bahwa bagaimana seseorang dapat merespon suatu pesan atau stimulus yang telah dilihatnya, kemudian menghasilkan reaksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya penerapan iklan transit pada bus Trans Koetaradja telah menimbulkan berbagai persepsi di kalangan Masyarakat Kota Banda Aceh, persepsi yang diberikan diantaranya terkait persepsi positif maupun negatif. Secara garis besar adanya penerapan iklan transit pada bus Trans Koetaradja terdapat beragam sudut pandang oleh masyarakat di Kota Banda Aceh. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyaknya tanggapan atau persepsi yang diberikan oleh informan terhadap penerapan iklan transit yang mempromosikan pariwisata Aceh.

Abstract

Information literacy is defined as the ability to access publications, understand, and critically evaluate media content. The competence level of community in information literacy encompasses the regulation of message interpretation passing through online media. Therefore, this study aims to determine the information literacy competence of the Aceh people in curtailing COVID-19 hoax. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, involving 1078 respondents who were in 5 study locations, namely Banda Aceh, West Aceh, Central Aceh, and North Aceh, and Langsa. The results showed that 836 (77.55%) respondents understood hoax as intentional fake news, while 576 (53.43%) indicated that it is inaccurate information. A total of 559 (51.86%) respondents were sometimes able to distinguish between hoax and true information. Furthermore, most respondents suggested that there is a need for socialization or education in the community to prevent the spread of hoax. By promoting information literacy, self-control over the publication received is carried out optimally, which is a solution to prevent cases of circulating hoax. Furthermore, information literacy is an effective method in dealing with false publications by introducing the characteristics of fake news, verification procedures, and following up on issues that are likely to fall into the hoax category. Abstract

This study analyzed the proper digital marketing communication via Instagram in increasing marketing productivity, the aim to explain the marketing communication strategy on Instagram using the Yin case study method on Bitata Food MSMEs for 90 days (September-November 2023 period) by applying The Circular Model of Some concept as a guide through in-depth interviews with the owner and content creator of Bitata Food, then triangulated by marketing communication academic experts. The results highlight the anomalies in the concepts of marketing science, marketing algorithms on Instagram, and Bitata Food's marketing activities. Marketing productivity did not increase because the engagement rate was 1.53%, primarily due to suboptimal public involvement in the posted content, despite the correct strategy and eye-catching content. Given the dynamics of digital transformation, which are characterized by uncertainty, digital acceleration is necessary to survive and thrive in the competitive landscape. The output presents a new method for measuring marketing productivity on Instagram, in addition to the IMC strategy, and provides recommendations for evaluation to help MSMEs create marketing messages with emotional appeal. The most important thing is that the product is getting closer to the public.
