Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilaksanakan di TPQ di Mushola Baumata yang merupakan tempat belajar Al Quran bagi anak-anak yang berada di Baumata Barat Kecamatan Taebenu Kabupaten Kupang. Perankeluarga terutama orang tua di daerah Baumata Barat dalam mengembangkan karakter anak-anak mereka belum sepenuhnya maksimal sehingga perkembangan karakter anak dalam bidang spiritual, emosional dan intelektual belum begitu seimbang dan selaras. Selain itu banyak anak-anak yang ternyata sudah tidak mengenal atau belum mengenal nilai-nilai sosial budaya yang ada dan ternyata mengandung nilai-nilai karakter yang luhur. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu munculnya karakteryang berbasis budaya/kearifan lokal dari anak-anak TPQ tersebut karena dengan hal-hal tersebut kami berharap anak-anak mampu bersaing dengan individu lain dalam berbagai konteks. Untuk menumbuhkankarakter tersebut pada anak-anak di TPQ diperlukan kegiatan secara bertahap agar tercipta kebiasaan yang teratur selain belajar membaca Al Qur’an. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu metode kajian kualitatifdeskriptif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penayangan media video berbais budaya pada anak-anak TPQ ternyata dapat membantu anak-anak lebih mudah memahami nilai-nilai karakter sesuai dengan budaya yangmereka miliki. Pendidikan karakter menjadi sangat penting terutama anak-anak karena karakter menjadi dasar seorang individu untuk bersaing di masa yang akan datang

Abstract

The objective of research was to find out: 1) the effect of GI and TGT learning method types on the student’s critical thinking in history learning in Public Senior High Schools in Pati Regency, 2) the effect of learning creativity on the student’ critical learning in history learning in Public Senior High Schools in Pati Regency, and 3) the effect of interaction between learning method and creativity level on the student’ critical learning in history learning in Public Senior High Schools in Pati Regency. The research method used in this research was an experimental method with a 2 x 2 factorial design. Based on the result of research, it could be concluded: (1) There was a significant effect of GI and TGT method uses on the student’s critical thinking in history learning. The result of research showed that the student’s critical  thinking ability in history learning using GI method, the students obtained better mean score (mean = 71.83) than that of those using TGT method did (mean = 65.36). (2) There was a significant effect of high and low student learning creativity on the student’s critical thinking in history learning.  The students with high creativity had higher mean score of critical thinking (mean = 72.03) than those with low critical thinking had (mean = 64.93). (3)There was no significant interaction of effect between learning method and student creativity to improve the student’s critical thinking ability in history learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aims to reveal (1) the causes of the struggle of the Lewokluok people against the Netherlands in 1905, (2) the process of the struggle of the Lewokluok people against the Dutch in 1905, (3) the impact of the struggle on the Lewokluok community. The location in this study was in Lewokluok Village, Demon Pagong District, East Flores Regency. Sources of data used are written sources and oral sources. Data in this study were collected by interview, observation, document study. The research procedure uses historical research methods which include data collection (heuristics), historical criticism, interpretation and history writing (historiography). The results showed that the factor causing the struggle of the Lewokluok people against the Netherlands in 1905 was the appointment of King Louis de Rosari to replace King Don Lorenzo who was accused of killing by the Dutch. This was not approved by the people of Lewokluok. The process of the struggle of the Lewokluok people against the Netherlands in 1905 was as follows (1) the Dutch troops burned all the gardens belonging to the Lewokluok people, (2) the Lewokluok people under the leadership of Kewisa Koten and their aides tried to defend themselves behind the bushes, trying to carry out attacks reply. However, their struggle was finally broken by the Dutch troops. (3) Kewisa Koten and other traditional elders were exiled outside the area. The impact of the struggle of the Lewokluok people against the Netherlands in 1905 was: (a) Four indigenous elders were exiled. (b) Naya Lein was killed by Dutch troops. (c) Kewisa Koten was exiled to Nusa Kambangan. (d) The people of the Lewokluok village and the traditional house (Koke) were moved to Kampung Bama. (e) The property of the inhabitants of the village of Lewokluok was taken and burned by the Dutch troops. (f) Many Lewokluok people died. (g) The Dutch increasingly interfered in the affairs of the people of the kingdom of Larantuka. (h) The Netherlands forced the people of Lewokluok to submit to the Dutch command to pay taxes.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the economic, political and social conditions of the Bunga Bali Kingdom during the reign of King Baolong Kaay in 1840-1875, as well as to revealing his role in political diplomacy in the Lisbon Treaty which certainly had shown existence of the Bali Bunga Kingdom. This study focuses on the locus of the territorial area of the Bunga Bali Kingdom which is centered at Alor Besar. This study uses a historical approach by emphasizing historical facts. Data were obtained from literature or document studies, observations, field studies, and oral traditions. According to this study, there is an economic dependence of the community on the agricultural, livestock and fishery sectors, as well as the political situation. The Bunga Bali  Kingdom has 10 Adang villages, three Islamic villages, and seven Pura villages. This study also reveals the social relations of local communities that did not recognize the division of social classes. On the other hand, the emergence of King Baololong as a mediator in the Lisbon treaty in Sago (Solor) was an important turning point because it resulted in an agreement on the territorial division and recognition for the Portuguese and the Dutch. The territories of Kolana, Batulolong, Kui, and Mademang were given to the Dutch, while the island of Atauro was given to the Portuguese. Meanwhile, based in the participation in the Lisbon, it was a medium of achievement and pride for the community as well as to strengthen the ties of brotherhood and cooperation between Galiyau Watang Lema and Solor Watang Lema.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Penfui Timur Kecamatan Kupang Tengah Kabupaten Kupang. Target luaran yang diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini dapat dirumuskan sebagai berikut: (1) Anak-anak di Desa Penfui Timur dapat mengembangkan karakter, selain belajar formal. (2) Anak-anak di Desa Penfui Timur dapat mengaplikasikan pengalaman dan ilmu yang kami berikan dengan sarana puzzle, selama maupun setelah kegiatan ini berlangsung. (3) Anak-anak mengenal kekayaan dan nilai-nilai sosial budaya yang mereka miliki dan mengandung nilai-nilai karakter di dalamnya yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. (4) Anak-anak di Desa Penfui Timur dapat mencintai dan melestarikan budaya mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini didesain dalam bentuk ceramah, diskusi dan sharing pendapat baik dengan anak maupun orang tuanya dalam rangka untuk menjawab masalah yang berkaitan dengan upaya menanamkan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal pada anak-anak di Penfui Timur dan permainan anak-anak dengan media puzzle. Media puzzle sangat pas untuk dipakai karena puzzle identik dengan anak yaitu dunia bermain. Puzzle juga memiliki manfaat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kognitif, keterampilan motorik halus, keterampilan sosial, keterampilan berinteraksi dengan orang lain, melatih koordinasi mata dengan tangan, melatih logika, melatih kesabaran, dan memperluas pengetahuan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa puzzle berbasis kearifan lokal memuat nilai-nilai karakter sebagai salah satu sarana dalam mengembangkan karakter  pada anak-anak. Dengan pertimbangan bahwa anak-anak lebih menyukai permainan ini karena dianggap menarik dan tidak membosankan.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Kearifan Lokal, Media Puzzle ABSTRACTCommunity Service is carried out in Penfui Timur Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency. The expected output targets through this activity can be formulated as follows: (1) Children in East Penfui Village can develop their character, in addition to formal learning. (2) Children in Penfui Timur Village can apply the experience and knowledge that we provide using puzzles, both during and after this activity takes place. (3) Children recognize the wealth and socio-cultural values they have and contain character values that can be applied in daily life. (4) Children in East Penfui Village can love and preserve their culture. The method used in community service is designed in the form of lectures, discussions, and sharing of opinions both with children and their parents to answer problems related to efforts to instill character-based values of local wisdom in children in East Penfui and children's play with puzzle media. The media puzzle is very fitting to use because a puzzle is identical to children, namely the world of play. Puzzles also have benefits for improving cognitive skills, fine motor skills, social skills, interacting skills with others, training eye coordination with hands, training logic, training patience, and expanding knowledge. The results of this activity show that local wisdom-based puzzles contain character values as a means of developing character in children. With the consideration that children prefer this game because it is considered interesting and not boring. Keywords: Character Education, Local Wisdom, Media Puzzle

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pendidikan responsif gender bagi anak-anak. Beberapa tahun terakhir ini kajian masalah perempuan dan gender di Indonesia menunjukkan perkembangan yang cukup pesat sekaligus merefleksikan meningkatnya kesadaran berbagai kalangan termasuk kalangan yang bergerak dalam dunia pendidikan. Tujuan dari pendidikan responsif gender yaitu terwujudkan kesetaraan gender sebagai upaya pemahaman agar peserta didik dapat memahami dalam memposisikan peran seorang perempuan maupun peran laki-laki. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi dalam penelitian ini di Taman Kanak-Kanak yang ada di Kota Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai adalah melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen, dan pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan responsif gender bagi anak-anak dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan dan pendekatan budaya, baik di sekolah maupun dalam keluarga.

Abstract

The inheritance of local culture for Boti Dalam tribe children is carried out at home through activities and behaviors inherited by parents to children. The Boti Dalam community adheres to the Halaika belief. Dependence and obedience to nature shape the character of the Boti Dalam tribe to maintain balance with nature. This research was conducted in the Boti Dalam Tribe in Kie District, South Timor Tengan Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation studies. The results showed that the process of enculturation of local culture for children of the Boti Dalam tribe was carried out by parents to children through several stages, among others: 1) Learning about culture, the life of the Inner Boti Community is governed by applicable customs. Traditional ceremonies and rituals that are carried out teach children to know the existing taboos or prohibitions as well as sanctions if they violate these prohibitions, 2) Learning with culture, children's involvement in participating in ceremonies and rituals and the behavior shown by parents to children becomes a medium of learning for children, 3) Learning through Culture, strengthening cultural values, 4) Learning Cultured, can be seen from the attitudes possessed by children are: religious, tolerance, kinship and mutual cooperation, protecting and preserving nature. The relationship between Boti Dalam tribe children who do not go to school and Boti Luar children who go to school is very harmonious, helping each other, complementing each other, supporting each other, this good relationship can be seen in the daily activities of children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat sekitar situs cagar budaya terhadap Gua Jepang dan serta partisipasi masyarakat dalam upaya perlindungan dan pelestarian situs cagar budaya. Responden dalam Penelitian ini meliputi: Masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar Situs Gua Jepang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar cagar budaya Gua Jepang menganggap Gua Jepang sebagai tempat peninggalan sejarah yang menyeramkan dan mistis sehingga mereka tidak berani berbuat yang macam-macam di sekitar Gua Jepang. Meskipun persepsi mereka kurang tepat terkait arti penting Gua Jepang namun sikap positif mereka tunjukkan dalam mendukung pemerintah dalam upaya perlindungan dan pelestarian cagar Budaya Gua Jepang. Hal ini juga karena peran instansi terkait dalam memberikan sosialisasi pelestarian cagar budaya Gua Jepang.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to explore the positive impact of using historical site media in an educational context, with a focus on student character development. Training and mentoring are directed at improving teachers' skills in integrating such media into the curriculum, so that students can develop a better understanding of historical values and character. The activity method involves intensive training, mentoring, and evaluation of the impact on the success of the activity with the main target being social studies teachers in junior high schools and senior high schools in Amanuban Central District. The stages of the activity are planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The results obtained show 94.5% of teachers are very satisfied with this training activity and can provide practical guidance for teachers, schools, and related parties to more effectively integrate historical site media as a learning tool that can shape students' positive character
