Abstract

Abstract - Land use change is the change from the previous land use function to another function, one of which is the change from agricultural land to non-agricultural land. Land use change in Kapanewon Kalasan is driven by various community activities. This is due to the rapid population growth and the location of Kapanewong Kalasan, which is the center of crowds near Yogyakarta city. It is in Central Java and is traversed by the Yogyakarta-Surakarta road. The purpose of the study on land use change in Kapanewon Kalasan by spatial approach is to (1) identify land use change from 2010 to 2020, and (2) identify land use change based on the type of spatial approach for a specific time. The research method is a quantitative method by used spatial process analysis with the overlay technique on ArcGIS ArcGIS. The findings show that over the past decade, Kapanewon Kalasan land use increased by 78.1%, land use designated for dry farming increased by 23.1%, paddy field use increased by 90.5%. Overlay results show that many agricultural drylands are being converted to paddy fields and residential areas, thus the increase in agricultural dryland use is small. Abstract

Development in Indonesia aims to prosper the people. Infrastructure development such as airports is also hoped to bring prosperity to the community. However, in addition to these positive impacts, there are also negative impacts, namely causing changes in the use of the surrounding land. Yogyakarta is building Yogyakarta International Airport in Temon District, Kulonprogo Regency. Therefore, this study aims to determine the dynamics of land use in Temon District before and after the construction of the Yogyakarta International Airport. The research method uses a qualitative approach with an analysis of the classification of satellite imagery from 2012-2022. The dynamics of land use in 2012-2017 showed the conversion of dry land agriculture to ponds of 260 ha and the conversion of paddy fields to settlements of 14.50 ha. Whereas in 2017-2022 the conversion of dry land agriculture to airports was 329.48 ha, conversion of ponds to airports was 74.06 ha, conversion of paddy fields to airports was 70.06 ha, and residential conversions to airports were 66.73 ha. The most changes in land use in Temon District are dry land agriculture, ponds, rice fields, settlements into airports.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector experienced a decline in visitor numbers. This served as a lesson for the tourism sector to increase visits once the pandemic ended. However, in 2023, during the holiday season, it was recorded that the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) saw a decrease in visits compared to the previous year. This decline is believed to be due to many visitors shifting their tourism preferences to the city of Surakarta. Therefore, Yogyakarta City needs to evaluate the quality of its tourism. The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of Yogyakarta City's tourism based on data scraping. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data scraping analysis using the Outscraper software. The data used are reviews from visitors to tourist attractions in Yogyakarta City. From the processed Google Maps reviews, the quality of the tourist attractions is categorized into the following tourism elements: 1)Attraction: The attractions in Yogyakarta City include culture, history, education, architecture, art, and children's playgrounds. While the attractions are diverse, natural attractions are still lacking. 2) Accessibility: Most of the attractions are located in the city center and are strategically placed, available on Google Maps. However, traffic conditions are congested, signage to tourist destinations and mobility within the attractions are still lacking. Entrance tickets are relatively affordable and match the attractions offered. Parking is generally available both within and around the attractions. 3) Amenities: The attractions are relatively close to accommodations, near other tourist spots, and have facilities such as toilets, places of worship, and culinary options. 4) Ancillary Services: The attractions are relatively clean and comfortable, with guides and staff available. However, some areas were found to have insufficient lighting and inadequate equipment maintenance.
