Abstract

Abstract

Digitalization has the potential to improve services and connect people to numerous types of information. The University of North Sumatra (USU) in Indonesia also uses digitization through the Human Resources Bureau (HR) with the E-Office application. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness and user satisfaction of the E-Office program in order to increase employee performance by examining the relationship between the two using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory. This study employs quantitative research techniques. This study collects data through non-probability sampling from primary and secondary sources. This study's data analysis methodologies include descriptive statistical analysis, partial least squares (PLS) statistics, hypothesis testing, and significance testing. The findings revealed that employee knowledge of how to use E-Office software had a substantial impact on enhancing operational efficiency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve credit quality in designing a customer loan default prediction system so that it can reduce the possibility of huge losses in banking in order to produce a model that has high accuracy and recall rate at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The entire population in this study was sampled as many as 467 customers. Using the random forest method, the results obtained are: 1) descriptive analysis shows that the variables of customer credit history, payment ratio, age, collateral value, and affiliate balances influence the occurrence of bad debt, 2) the prediction model identifies patterns of customers at risk of bad debt, 3) the application of the credit model appropriately can reduce the level of bad debt.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an internet of things (IoT) system framework to predict cyclists’ optimal speed in road cycling using multisensor data and machine learning. The primary issue raised is the lack of an intelligent system capable of integrating physiological, performance, and environmental data in real-time speeds for cyclists. The designed framework consists of four functional layers: data acquisition layer; data processing and feature layer; predictive modeling layer; and recommendations and output layer. Modeling is carried out using gradient boosting regression (GBR), performed end-to-end with validation on real cyclist activity data. The test results demonstrate that the system can provide precise optimal speed estimates and offer pacing zone recommendations that positively impact athlete performance strategies. This research contributes novelty in the form of an adaptive multivariate prediction approach and a modular IoT architecture design that can be implemented on cloud and edge platforms.

Abstract

Desa Dalig Raya in Simalungun Regency possesses significant potential in red ginger commodities; however, its utilization remains limited to raw product sales, resulting in low economic value added. This study aims to enhance community income through innovation in processing red ginger into value-added ginger candy based on local potential. The research employs a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving stages of situation analysis, production training, and business management assistance. The results indicate that the innovation of red ginger candy products improves community skills, increases economic value added, and creates broader market opportunities in functional food products. Furthermore, the program strengthens community economic independence through downstreaming strategies and collaborative partnerships. Overall, this initiative contributes to improving community welfare by optimizing local resources and promoting sustainable rural economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze: (1) the effect of Customer Journey Mapping on Customer Experience, (2) the effect of Customer Experience on Customer Satisfaction, (3) the effect of Customer Journey Mapping on Customer Satisfaction, and (4) the indirect effect of Customer Journey Mapping through Customer Experience on Customer Satisfaction in the services of bank bjb Medan Branch. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to walk-in customers of bank bjb Medan Branch. The population in this study consists of 1,868 customers, and based on the Raosoft sample size formula, a total of 319 respondents were selected as the final sample. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the SmartPLS software. The results indicate that Customer Journey Mapping has a significant effect on both Customer Experience and Customer Satisfaction, either directly or indirectly through Customer Experience. These findings suggest that optimizing each stage of the customer journey can enhance both Customer Experience and satisfaction with the services of bank bjb Medan Branch.

Abstract

Dalig Raya Village in Simalungun Regency has great potential in red ginger plants. This plant has various health values and benefits. However, the processing of this plant is still lacking, thus hampering its maximum utilization. By optimizing this potential, Dalig Raya Village can become a center for red ginger processing production that contributes to the local economy and improves community welfare, as well as introducing the health benefits of red ginger to the wider community. Therefore, the community service team conducted community service through the International Community Service Scheme in collaboration with UiTM Penang to carry out activities. The methods used to carry out community service include initial discussions with the community, conducting the production process, and training business management. The results of this community service created a red ginger candy product that acts as an anti-cancer, lowers blood sugar and cholesterol, strengthens the immune system, and helps ward off bacterial and viral infections while reducing arthritis symptoms. The PKM team also provided training on how to make ginger candy products. This activity not only provides knowledge but also has the potential to improve public health through the use of herbal plants.

Abstract

PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional 1 has implemented the Integrated Procurement System (IPS) to support Material management through Material and Price Master Data. However, the utilization of this data in supporting the preparation of Owner’s Cost Estimate (HPS) and procurement activities has not been fully optimized due to differences in users’ understanding of the information available within the system. This study aims to evaluate the contribution of Material management to the quality of HPS preparation and procurement effectiveness, as well as to develop an improvement framework that can be utilized by the company. The study employed a qualitative approach using an evaluative case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, document reviews, and expert judgment. The analysis was conducted using Contribution Analysis, CMMI Assessment based on SCAMPI Class C, Gap Analysis, and Fishbone Analysis. The results indicate that material management contributes to providing more standardized, consistent, and accessible material and price information, which supports the quality of HPS preparation and procurement effectiveness. The maturity level of Material management was assessed at Level 2 (Managed). This study proposes the Material management Performance Improvement Framework (MMPIF) as a guideline for continuous performance improvement.
