Abstract

Abstract: Tourism is one of the most essential sector for several countries because itaffects the economic growth. Festival, as a part of event tourism, can be used as touristattraction. To achieve success in festival, some conditions have to be fulfilled i.ememorable experience of festival, keen festival personality and its reputation. Pine andGilmore (1998) described four dementionals of experience economy which are;education, entertainment, escapism and esthetic. Using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) on Festival Makanan Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe (206 samples), this studyconducted to determine the effect of four experience dementions on festivalpersonality and the influence of festival personality towards reputation. The result areshowed that entertainment, education and esthetic have the significant positive effecton the festival personality. This study also reveals that festival personality have asignificant positive influence on reputation. This research can be useful forgovernment or tourism event organiser while organising festivals.

Abstract

Business development requires research and networking. Even in their infancy, business owners need these things. It is just that often Technology-Based Beginner Entrepreneurs (PPBT) do not take this seriously. This activity's long-term goal is to create market surveys and networks that provide convenience in developing the PPBT business. The specific targets of this activity are: 1) conducting a market survey for Andalas University PPBT products (minimum 5 products); 2) implementation of business matching where PPBT is met with all stakeholders, especially business people who are relevant for the development of PPBT products as well as with buyers who can become buyers for PPBT products. The method used is by conducting market surveys to potential customers and conducting business meetings that bring together PPBT and all parties who can help PPBT business. The output of this activity is a market survey and business meeting. The activities obtained were marketing innovative products such as mangosteen peel teabags, Unca tea (Gambir) teabags, sorghum flour, honey peel-off masks, and coffee body scrubs are still tricky. This is because the production of this innovative product is not carried out continuously, and the selling price is relatively high compared to similar comparison products. It can be concluded from this activity that Unand's innovation product must compete with other products if it is to be chosen by the community. One form of strategy that can be done is to reduce production costs so that the selling price of the product can also be reduced. Another form of increasing sales of innovative products is by producing break-even points so that producers will not suffer losses.

Abstract

A bilingual website is an essential component in delivering information in today's digital era. The existence of a website as a credible reference for information can support the implementation of a good organization and improve reputation in the national and international scope. Because of the significant benefits of the website, every organization is required to have a representative website, including educational institutions such as the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Andalas University. Therefore, increasing the capacity of education personnel in managing the website is an urgent thing to do. To achieve this, this activity does modules and provides training for department employees to have basic skills in managing the department's website. Before carrying out the activity, problem identification and finding solutions were carried out using the USG (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth) method, followed by a root problem tree and SMART analysis (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). After that, module creation, training, and evaluation are carried out simultaneously. The result of this activity is that the Management Department has a module for website management, and education personnel has increased their website management skills. Education staff feel the benefits of modules and training even at the primary level. It is hoped that in the future, assistance will still need to be carried out to ensure the website remains managed and becomes a means of consultation if education personnel experience problems.

Abstract

People with disability can have difficulties in expressing their talents and capabilities, including in entrepreneurship. They also may have limited resources and a lack of opportunity to access information and knowledge. For these reasons, we introduce “Baraka” as an online learning platform for entrepreneurship designed to assist people with disabilities, including students, by providing videos and information that enhance their knowledge and skills. Innovation implementation requires some elements such as financial resources availability, top management team support, innovation climate, and human resources availability. Baraka also needs to focus on people with disability ’aspirations to make sure that they can benefit from this platform and proactively participate to become a source of knowledge and skills. It is also essential for having continuous improvement and total support from stakeholders for this project.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education has played a crucial role in enhancing entrepreneurship in university. Technological changes and recent pandemic crises have accelerated a new method to enhance the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education. Business planning is an essential document that should be mastered by students as this would help them formulate and implement business plans or strategies. Universitas Andalas has committed to stimulating entrepreneurship courses as mandatory for all of its faculties. This time is a moment to renew how to learn business planning effectively, and this can be conducted by providing video production that includes insights from the business world. We have implemented this point of view in the context of Universitas Andalas, resulting in more engagement and understanding of students regarding business planning.

Abstract

Database adalah kumpulan data terorganisasi, disimpan, dan diakses secara elektronik. Perancang basis data biasanya mengatur data untuk memodelkan aspek realitas dengan cara yang mendukung proses yang membutuhkan informasi, seperti memodelkan sistem pengajian mendukung menemukan hasil laporan gajian setiap bulanan. Database merupakan sebuah wadah data yang berelasi satu sama lain (terintegrasi) dapat menyajikan informasi, melalui suatu proses input dan output. Dharma andalas yang dulu bernama STIE Dharma Andalas telah berkembang sesuai tuntutan pangsa pasar perguruan tinggi swasta telah berubah nama menjadi Universitas Dharma Andalas (UNIDHA). Sebubungan dengan itu maka tenaga non kependidikan perlu proses hitung gaji yang cepat dan uptodate per setiap transaksi bulanan, dimana masalah penghitungan gaji masih dilakukan secara manual dengan spreadsheet. Maka dalam masalah ini perlu dibuat tujuan untuk database sistem pengajian tenaga non kependidikan melatih pembuatan aplikasi dengan database relational via Microsoft access. Metode yang diimplementasikan dalam system pengajian ini adalah database relational. Database relational merupakan tabel-tabel yang berelasi satu sama lainnya sehingga input,process, output data dapat tersedia sesuai kebutuhan user. Adapun hasil yang diharapkan pada pengabdian ini meng-create sebuah aplikasi sistem pengajian. Luaran yang hendak dicapai : pelatihan database, paten aplikasi/software, jurnal ilmiah.

Abstract

Nagi Sipadeh merupakan salah satu usaha berkembang yang menjadi mitra pengabdian masyarakat LPPM Universitas Andalas yang memiliki keinginan besar untuk terus berinovasi mengembangkan berbagai jenis produk olahan jahe merah. Salah satu produk yang ingin dikembangkan adalah permen jahe merah. Dalam upaya pengembangan produk permen jahe merah, masih banyak kendala dan permasalahan yang dialami oleh Nagi Sipadeh terutama kurangnya pengetahuan tentang teknologi produksi permen. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan ini diharapkan dapat membantu usaha Nagi Sipadeh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemampuan dalam memproduksi permen berbahan baku jahe merah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga bentuk kegiatan, yaitu penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan bimbingan berkelanjutan. Pelatihan yang dilakukan mencakup pada teknologi produksi permen yang meliputi komposisi bahan-bahan yang diperlukan dalam pembuatan permen disertai edukasi mengenai fungsi dan peranan masing-masing bahan tersebut dalam komposisi permen, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian cara pengolahan yang tepat serta prosedur pengemasan permen yang baik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini Usaha Nagi Sipadeh mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai proses pengolahan permen baik dalam bentuk permen keras maupun permen lunak serta mengetahui teknik pengemasan permen yang tepat. Kata kunci: Jahe merah, Nagi Sipadeh, permen ABSTRACT Nagi Sipadeh is one of the developing businesses that is a community service partner of LPPM Andalas University who has a great desire to continue to innovate in developing various types of processed red ginger products. One of the products to be developed is red ginger candy. In an effort to develop red ginger candy products, there are still many obstacles and problems experienced by Nagi Sipadeh, especially the lack of knowledge about candy production technology. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that it can help Nagi Sipadeh's efforts to improve skills and abilities in producing of red ginger candy. This community service activity is carried out in three forms of activity, namely counseling, training, and ongoing guidance. The training carried out covers candy production technology which includes the composition of the ingredients needed in making candy along with education about the function and role of each of these ingredients in candy composition, then continued with the delivery of proper processing methods and good candy packaging procedures. As a result of this activity, Nagi Sipadeh's business gained knowledge and skills regarding the candy processing process, both in the form of hard candy and soft candy, as well as knowing the right candy packaging technique. Abstract

Sebagai salah satu aplikasi pencari kerja yang diminati dan popular, Jobstreet hadir membawa keterbaruan dalam memberian kemudahan dan informasi dalam mencari kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara beberapa factor dari user satisfaction yaitu usability quality, information quality dan service interaction quality terhadap user satisfaction pada aplikasi Jobstreet. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan beberapa kriteria. Responden penelitian adalah 100 orang yang merupakan pengguna aplikasi Jobstreet. Data dianalisis dengan model regresi dengan alat menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semakin baik usability quality, information quality dan service interaction quality yang dimiliki oleh website atau aplikasi maka semakin tinggikepercayaan user dan semakin baik pula user satisfaction. Variabel usability quality, information quality, dan service interaction quality memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap user satisfaction. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan semakin tinggi usability quality, information quality, dan service interaction, maka semakin baik pula user satisfaction pada aplikasi Jobstreet tersebut

Abstract

E-government uses information technology to change government relations with citizens, the private sector, and other institutions. The importance of identifying e-government performance cannot be separated from the use of the website. Thus, assessing the website quality is very important as it helps determine the quality of e-government services and improve service processes. In almost two years of implementing e-government in West Sumatra, there has been no evaluation of the provincial and district/city government websites, which are the primary tools for implementing e-government today. In the Covid-19 pandemic period, the website's role has become more critical as a means for the public to get the latest information regarding developments in handling the pandemic. This study focuses on assessing and evaluating the level of maturity (maturity assessment) of the provincial and district/city government websites in implementing e-government and its relationship in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Forty websites were assessed for their e-government maturity in this study. The website consists of 19 district/city websites, one provincial webpage, and 20 websites for handling Covid-19 for each district/city and province. The maturity assessment was measured using the United Nations (UN) e-government maturity model. This study found that government websites are still at stage 1 and stage 2 maturity models. Meanwhile, the Covid-19 handling website is on stage1. It is hoped that the government in West Sumatra will pay more attention to improving e-government through websites in the current pandemic era.

Abstract

This paper systematically examines the literature review in the field of customer switching behavior. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that customer switching behavior is a topic that has been widely researched, with a focus on various industries, particularly banking and telecommunications. Research trends in this area have shown a positive direction in recent years, and the amount of research being done in marketing and data science is relatively balanced. In marketing, correlational studies are predominant, with a focus on identifying relationships between customer satisfaction, price-related variables, attractiveness of alternatives, service failure, quality, and switching costs to switching behavior. The PPM model is also gaining popularity as an important development for switching behavior because it considers both push and pull factors. Data science research has shown promising results in predicting customer switching behavior, with each research paper achieving good predictive accuracy. However, research gaps spanning the fields of marketing and data science need to be addressed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the drivers of customer switching behavior. Overall, the literature review shows that customer switching behavior is an important concern for businesses, and further research in this area is essential to gain a better understanding of customer behavior and develop effective strategies to retain customers.
