Abstract

Kebutuhan air bersih sebagai bahan baku air minum merupakan masalah yang sering ditemui pada masyarakat di bantaran sungai. Salah satunya masyarakat desa Mungku Baru, Kecamatan Rakumpit Kota Palangkaraya. Masyarakat desa masih mengandalkan air sungai sebagai bahan baku utama pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih sehari-hari. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 9 di Desa Mungku Baru Kota Palangka Raya tentang persyaratan air baku sebagai air bersih serta memberikan ilmu tambahan untuk mengolah alat filtrasi air bersih sederhana dari bahan material yang mudah ditemukan. Dalam kegiatan ini tahapan pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan pendampingan mengenai pengolahan air baku dengan sistem filtrasi sederhana memanfaatkan bahan yang mudah diperoleh di Desa Mungku Baru. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan mendemonstrasikan alat filtrasi dengan percobaan filtrasi air sungai. Percobaan filtrasi dilakukan 2-3 kali penyaringan agar mendapatkan hasil maksimal. Dari percobaan yang dilakukan filtrasi air sungai mengalami perubahan yang sangat signifikan dilihat dari warna dan baunya, sebelum percobaan air sungai berwarna coklat keruh dan setelah difiltrasi air sungai berwarna bening dan tidak berbau. Perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut seperti pengukuran TDS, pH, suhu, kadar bakteri, kandungan zat besi dan sebagainya agar air sungai tidak hanya digunakan untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan sehari-hari tetapi juga dapat dikonsumsi

Abstract

The productivity of workers determines the success of the implementation of the construction project schedule, because it has an impact on the compatibility between the planning of the construction schedule and the progress of work in the field. The worker productivity that will be calculated is the work of reinforcing beams in the Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office building construction project. The calculation of worker productivity will be carried out using the time study method.This study aims to determine the extent of worker productivity during working hours in the morning and evening. The method used in this research is the time study method, which is the measurement of labor productivity in the field by determining the standard time of a job. From this method can be seen the comparison of worker productivity from the results of a job. In this case study, the factors that affect worker productivity will be identified. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire by giving written questions to respondents that were relevant to the research objectives. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the productivity of workers in the morning higher with an average weight of 41,825 kg/hour than in the afternoon of 40,433 kg/hour. Where on the first day the productivity of morning workers is 12,56% and in the afternoon it is 11,97%. On the second day the productivity of morning workers is 12,81% and in the afternoon it is 12,18%. On the third day the productivity of morning workers is 12,68% and in the afternoon 12,43%. On the fourth day the productivity of morning workers is 12,85% and in the afternoon 12,52%. In general, it can be seen that the productivity of workers in the morning is higher than that of workers in the afternoon. There are 3 categories of factors that influence worker productivity: not influential (TB) are wind gusts; influential (B) are weather factors; number of workers, age, wages; managerial factors; effectiveness of working hours; and very influential are skill factors

Abstract

Clay soil has high plasticity and low shear strength characteristics, making it a challenge in construction projects, especially in areas with high water content, such as Bereng Bengkel District, Palangkaraya City. To address this issue, polymers and biopolymers have been used as stabilization materials to enhance the shear strength of the soil. This study aims to evaluate the effect of adding polymers and biopolymers on the mechanical parameters of clay soil, particularly cohesion (CC) and internal friction angle (ϕ). Laboratory experiments were conducted following SNI 2825:2015 standards for direct shear testing. Clay soil samples were collected from Bereng Bengkel and mixed with polymer (polyacrylamide) and biopolymer (xanthan gum) at concentrations of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%. Shear strength parameters were analyzed to determine the effectiveness of each stabilization material, with the optimal concentration determined based on maximum cohesion and internal friction angle values. The results showed that the addition of polymer could increase cohesion by up to 70% and the internal friction angle by up to 130% at concentrations of 1.0% to 1.5%, while biopolymers could increase cohesion by up to 39% and the internal friction angle by up to 313% at concentrations of 1.0% to 2%, compared to the initial values. These findings indicate that soil stabilization with polymers and biopolymers significantly improves the shear strength of Bereng Bengkel soil. The study concludes that the optimal combination of stabilization materials can significantly enhance the mechanical properties of clay soil and opens opportunities for further research with other additive materials such as lime or cement.

Abstract

Tanah lempung dengan Indeks Plastisitas (PI) yang tinggi dan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) yang rendah cenderung rentan terhadap perubahan kelembapan dan memiliki daya dukung yang rendah sehingga perlu usaha untuk stabilisasi, salah satu stabilisasi yang masih jarang digunakan adalah stabilisasi mengunakan bahan adiktif seperti biochar tempurung kelapa. Biochar tempurung kelapa memiliki sifat yang mampu mengubah karakteristik fisik dan mekanik tanah, sehingga diharapkan dengan penambahan biochar dapat menurunkan nilai Indeks Plastisitas (PI) dan meningkatkan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan biochar tempurung kelapa dengan variasi 8%, 12% dan 16% terhadap nilai Indeks Plastisitas (PI) dan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tanah asli dari Desa Maliku Baru, Kecamatan Maliku, Kabupaten Pulang Pisau, Kalimantan Tengah. Hasil dari pengujian menunjukan perubahan terhadap kedua parameter tersebut, semakin tinggi variasi biochar tempurung kelapa yang digunakan maka semakin rendah nilai Indeks Plastisitas (PI) dan semakin tinggi nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil yang signifikan pada penambahan biochar tempurung kelapa dengan variasi 16% diperoleh nilai Indeks Plastisitas (PI) dari tanah asli sebesar 33,64% menjadi 11,68% penurunan yang terjadi 62,4% dari tanah asli sedangkan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) diperoleh dari tanah asli sebesar 2,95% menjadi 9,2% peningkatan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) adalah sebesar 78% dari California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tanah asli. Dengan demikian, penggunaan biochar tempurung kelapa sebagai bahan stabilisasi tanah sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas tanah lempung di daerah tersebut
