Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find about Organizational Communication Model on the Implementation of the Sakinah 'Aisyiyah Family. This study used qualitatif research. The result in this show that the leadership and members of 'Aisyiyah in North Sumatra are already familiar with the concept of the sakinah family. However, not all members and leaders know in detail the material of the sakinah family according to the book of the central leadership 'Aisyiyah. The observation made by the author is that someone has been selling guidance books for the sakinah family from the central leadership of 'Aisyiyah at the regional leadership office of North Sumatra. Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelaah motivasi, pengumpulan, dan pendistribusian dana filantropi di lingkungan Muhammadiyah. Studi ini merupakan hasil dari kerja lapangan, dimana data diperoleh melalui kegiatan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen terkait kerja filantropi organisasi Muhammadiyah di Sumatera Utara, Jawa Timur dan Yogyakarta. Studi ini menemukan bahwa salah satu faktor pendukung dalam melestarikan dan memperkukuh eksistensi Muhammadiyah adalah kegemaran pengurus dan warga organisasi ini melakukan karya-karya filantropi yang dilandasi oleh penghayatan terhadap ajaran Islam yang secara terus-menerus menjadi bagian dari ciri khasnya dan diletakkan secara terprogram melalui pengajian-pengajian terjadwal dan berlangsung secara terus menerus di setiap hierarki kepemimpinan organisasi.Abstract: Philanthropic Empowerment in Improving the Welfare of Muhammadiyah Members in Indonesia. This article aims to study the motivation, collection, and distribution of philanthropic funds in the organization of Muhammadiyah environment. This paper is the result of fieldwork, in which data is obtained through interview, observations and document studies related to the work of philanthropy organization of Muhammadiyah in North Sumatera, East Java and Yogyakarta. The study found that one of the supporting factors in preserving and maintaining stronger existence of Muhammadiyah is the willingness of of managers and the organizations to implement philanthropic works based on internalization of the Islamic teachings. This ethos has continuously become an integral part of its distinct features and have been interpreted into programs of scheduled study circles within every layer of organization’s leadership hierarchy.Kata Kunci: filantropi, kesejahteraan, Muhammadiyah, zakat, infak, sedekah

Abstract

Recently, cities in Indonesia are filled with the phenomenon of political movements from Islamic circles. They often carry out mobilization actions and street protests to negotiate the interests they carry which are considered as an attempt to color urban life. This article aims to discuss the presence of the Islamic social movement GNPF Ulama North Sumatra (hereinafter referred to as GNPF), to investigate the factors and key actors in the emergence of the movement, and the implications of the movement they played. This article is part of a field research conducted by observing and interviewing several movement activists. Then, the analysis in this article uses social movement theory. In this study, social movement theory is used in this case the political process and the structure of political opportunity. The findings in this article are that social movements are a reaction to the tightness of the socio-economic and political space. The emergence of Islamic social movements in contemporary Indonesian urban space is not only driven by old factors such as the influence of colonialism, moreover its emergence is driven by the process of modernization and urbanization of the city which results in spatial conflicts between business and religion. In addition, electoral political events at the local level also encourage the emergence of movements along with the existence of movement actors who also act as political actors. Here I argue that all the factors that have been mentioned have given rise to a broader aspect of studying how a movement arises

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has diversity in terms of ethnicity, nation, race, culture, ethnicity and religion. But nowadays many people forget and even eliminate the culture that has existed since the time of the ancestors which should be used as local wisdom and then developed in accordance with the progress of the times which is in line with the moral teachings of Religion. The legend of Malin Kundang is a local wisdom that contains a lesson, in which there are religious teachings, namely the importance of being devoted to parents.The purpose of this study is to generate and develop local wisdom in the Air Manis sub-district, Padang Selatan district, Padang city so that the community, especially children, still remember the legend of Malin Kundang in order to serve as an advisor to be devoted to parents. The method used in this research is a field study method with a Islamic theology approach. And collect the results of interviews with the Air Manis village community to be used as evidence for research materials. The findings obtained in this study with the local wisdom of the Malin Kundang stone legend located in the Air Manis sub-district, Padang Selatan district, Padang city, made this place one of the most popular and crowded tours to date.
