Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect and obtain the best time interval for applying liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from tofu liquid waste and gamal leaves to the growth and yield of wheatgrass microgreens. The research method used a complete randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and four repeats. Treatment consists of: control; LOF time interval for applying 1; 2; 3; 4; and once every 5 days. The results showed that LOF made from tofu liquid waste and gamal leaves at several intervals for applying had a significant effect on the coarseness of growth and the percentage of seed growing power, fresh weight of plants, dry weight of plants, and vitamin C levels, but had no significant effect on total leaf chlorophyll. LOF given at intervals of 3 days is the best time because it produces microgreens wheatgrass with a seed growth density of 93,50%, a percentage of seed growing power 99,50%, a fresh weight of the plant 18,75 g, a dry weight of of the plant 2,42 g, and vitamin C levels of 0,83 mg.

Abstract

Kata kunci : limbah cair tahu, daun gamal, komposisi, POC, hara  ABSTRACTResearch aims to determine effect of composition of tofu and gamal leaf liquid waste on several chemical properties LOF. The research was carried out at the Kupang State Politani Plant Protection Laboratory, using a Complete Random Design (CRD) with six treatments and three replicates. The treatment is composition of tofu liquid waste (liters) and gamal leaves (kg), namely: 6:0.5; 6:1; 6:1,5; 6:2; 6:2,5; and 6:3. Observation variables were C-organic, pH, and several macro and micro nutrients. Data based on mean value. Research results showed 1) composition of tofu and gamal leaf liquid waste affected quality of LOF; 2) Composition of POC 6:2.5 and 6:3 has highest levels of N, P, and K; and 3) micronutrient content of LOF fluctuates. Highest Fe and B content in a composition of 6:2; highest levels of Cu, Zn, and Mn in a composition of 6:3; and highest Cu content in a composition of 6:2.5. Keywords: tofu liquid waste, gamal leaves, composition, LOF, nutrient

Abstract

The growth and produce of red lettuce are influenced by plant growth factors such as the availability of nutrients and water content in planting medium. This study aims to determine the growth and produce of red lettuce by using liquid organic fertilizer and watering intervals. This research employed Randomized Block Design (RBD) Factorial consisting of 12 combinations of treatments and                          3 replications with the first factor tested was liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels namely: without organic liquid fertilizer; Liquid organic fertilizer from tofu pulp; liquid organic from chicken manure; and liquid organic fertilizer from lamtoro leaf. The second factor was the interval of watering: interval 1, 2, and 3 days. The parameters observed were plant height, leaf chlorophyll, wet weight, and dry weight. The results showed that the organic fertilizer treatment of tofu dregs gave the best result of plant height at 2 weeks after planting (WAP) (14.71 cm), 3 WAP (18.19 cm), 4 WAP (23.11 cm), leaf chlorophyll (21.89 mg l-1), wet weight (0.175 g), and dry weight (0.037 g).  The treatment of once a day watering interval gave the best result of plant height 2 WAP (15.04 cm), 3 WAP (18.73 cm), 4 WAP (24.17 cm), leaf chlorophyll (20.68 mg l-1), Wet weight (0.183 g), dry weight (0.0038 g), while watering interval once every 3 days gave the highest water efficiency (0.026), and the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer of tofu and once a day watering interval gave the highest wet weight (0.189 g).

Abstract

The use of organic fertilisers represents an effective and sustainable approach to enhancing soil quality. Purpose of this study is to determine the influence of several concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from leaf vegetable waste and liquid waste and to find out the concentration that has the best effect on chickpea yield. The experiment used a randomized group design (GRD), consisting of 11 treatments, repeated three times. The treatment tested was the concentration of LOF from leaf vegetable waste and tofu liquid waste, namely 0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, and 250 ml/l. The data were analyzed with ANOVA, if significant, a further test is carried out with an Honest Significant Difference (HSD) 5%. Observation variables were 1) Plant growth, namely height of plant, leaves amount, diameter of stem, and branches amount, and 2) Plant yield, namely the pods amount, length of pod, weight each of pod, and pod weight each plant. Results of the study that concentration of 250 ml/l had a better effect on amount of pods (56.75 pods), pod length (19.29 cm), weight each pod (10.62 g), and pod weight each chickpea plant (602.17 g). Keywords:   Concentration, Leaf vegetable waste, Liquid organic fertilizer, Growth and yield of chickpea, Tofu liquid waste
