Abstract

Abstract: Invective expression is different from its literal meaning. Invective expression reflect the speaker`s culture, customs, and social and historical backgrounds. Therefore, without knowing a target language, culture aspects as well as expressions, the meaning of expressions can not be concluded from the dictionary definition, speakers of foreign culture often face problems in understanding the actual meaning of the meaning of expressions, especially invective expressions. In the Minangkabau culture that uses invective expressions in their daily conversations, understanding that is not a problem. However, problems may occur when the two different cultures try to understand each other's expressions. Therefore, this study analyzed invective expressions in Minangkabau and Batak languages. In addition, the writer also examined aspects of the culture and situation of the intended expressions used by speakers of each language. The researcher used qualitative methods and the data gets from the informants of both cultures. These findings reveal two categories, namely, first, invective expression in Minangkabau and Batak languages with same literal and actual meaning. Second, invective expression  in Minangkabau and Batak languages with same literal meaning but different actual meaning.Abstrak: Makna kiasan berbeda dengan arti harfiahnya. Makna kiasan mencerminkan budaya, adat istiadat penutur, dan latar belakang sosial dan historis. Oleh karena itu, tanpa mengetahui aspek budaya target dan juga ungkapan, makna ungkapan tidak dapat di simpulkan dari definisi kamus, penutur bahasa asing sering menghadapi masalah dalam memahami arti sebenarnya dari makna ungkapan khususnya ungkapan makian. Dalam budaya Minang yang menggunakan ungkapan makian dalam percakapan sehari-hari mereka, memahami itu bukanlah masalah. Namun, masalah mungkin terjadi ketika kedua budaya yang berbeda mencoba memahami ungkapan satu sama lain. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menganalisis ungkapan makian dalam bahasa Minang dan Batak. Selain itu peneliti juga meneliti aspek budaya dan situasi tujuan ungkapan di gunakan oleh penutur bahasa masing-masing. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dan  Data bersumber dari  informan kedua budaya. Temuan ini mengungkapkan dua kategori yaitu, pertama, Ungkapan makian dalam bahasa Minang dan Batak dengan makna literal dan makna aktual yang sama. Kedua, Ungkapan makian dalam bahasa Minang dan Batak dengan makna literal yang sama tapi makna aktual berbeda.

Abstract

This study discusses the results of the analysis performed to determine the meaning of the metaphor in the Surah An-Nisa English version. This study is carried by applying a systematic method. Through the observation method followed by the note-taking technique, researchers identified the Quran Surah An-Nisa English Version 176 verses to find metaphors and analyzed the data with understanding the meaning of each utterance that appeared by finding keywords from the source domain of the lexicon and the target domain in one metaphorical. The results of data analysis were presented through formal and informal methods. The findings are abstract meaning that are constructed more concrete by God as guidance to humans through metaphorical utterances. The implication of this study helps people to understand the messages of the verse in the Quran, especially the Surah An-Nisa.

Abstract

Online shopping is a communication technology that utilizes the internet with various services. It saves time when working without having to meet in person. Consumers who shop at online stores can easily access the online store they want, see the selection of goods and prices purchased, find out the quality of goods from buyer comments and pay. This study discusses the strategy of using online stores as a digital marketing communication tool. In this study, quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods were used. In addition, this study also uses library research techniques to obtain information and reference materials. Data collection procedures were carried out by observing through online shops and library research. The type of data used is qualitative. From the results of the interviews and the data that has been collected, it can be concluded that the diagram showing the color red as Instagram users is more widely used around the school environment so that it greatly influences the ease of online business strategy communication in the North Rantau Vocational High School 1 environment. Based on the results of research and discussion, Instagram can be used as a digital marketing communication tool. The marketing strategy through the online media business is actually quite difficult to penetrate the market in Indonesia. This is due to the many differences in consumers in Indonesia, starting from how to buy, assessing products, advertising, economic conditions, cultural differences and technological developments, which are a challenge for e-commerce

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris merupakan hal yang umum di era globalisasi seperti sekarang ini. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa kelemahan dari sumber daya manusia Indonesia, terutama kesadaran bahwa Bahasa Inggris dapat meningkatkan peluang karir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki persepsi pebisnis dan karyawan terhadap pentingnya bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa komunikasi bisnis di era globalisasi. Dari 99 pebisnis dan karyawan, 50 pebisnis dan karyawan di perusahan swasta ikut dalam penelitian ini. Setelah pengamatan selama seminggu dilaksanakan, kuesioner dibagikan. Setelah hasil kuisioner ditabulasikan, dilakukan wawancara semi terstruktur untuk menggali lebih jauh persepsi pebisnis dan karyawan tentang pentingnya bahasa inggris sebagai bahasa komunikasi di era globalisasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Bahasa Inggris sangat berdampak positif bagi pebisnis dan karyawan seperti  mempermudah dan membantu akses terhadap informasi global, meningkatkan peluang karir, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dalam berkomunikasi, menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan, serta memahami kondisi bisnis internasional. Beberapa implikasi dari bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa komunikasi disajikan dan didiskusikan. keterlibatan dan tantangan berbicara dan memahami pebisnis dan karyawan juga dicari untuk diuraikan.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas tentang kesinambungan topik antara kalimat pertama dengan kalimat berikutnya, Kesinambungan topik merupakan cara suatu topik utama dijalinkan dalam suatu urutan klausa maupun kalimat yang tersusun membentuk suatu rangkaian yang sinambung. Tulisan ini mencari hasil pengukuran setiap bentuk perangkat gramatikal dan tingkat kesinambungan topik yang digunakan dalam eksakta yaitu yang berjudul “Hepatitis A Bisa Menular Lewat Jenis Hubungan Seks”, okezone.com. Penelitian ini menggunakanteori analisis wacana, dan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatifkesinambungan topik Givon. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kesinambungan topik dalam jarak referensi dalam wacana tersebut adalah sedang. Kesinambungan topik dalam kemungkinan gangguan adalah rendah. Kesinambungan topik dalam keberterusan topik adalah sedang. Secara keseluruhan topik tersebut berperan dalam menjaga kesinambungan wacana.Katakunci: kesinambungan topik, analisis wacana, teks eksaktaAbstractThis research discusses topiccontinuity between the first sentence and the next sentence. Topic continuity is the way a main topic is woven in a sequence of clauses and arranged sentences form a continuous series. This research looks for the results of measurements of each form of grammatical devices, the level of continuity and the factors of creativity used in the exacta text: “Hepatitis A Bisa Menular Lewat Jenis Hubungan Seks”, okezone.com. This research uses discourse analysis theory, and this research uses a quantitative approach to the sustainability of the topic of Givon.The results of the research are topic continuity within the referential distance is medium. Topic continuity inpotential interference is low. Topic continuity in persistence is medium. Abstract

Artikel ini dibuat untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis bagaimana Rantauprapat Pos melakukan strategi komunikasi bisnis dalam menjaring para pemasang iklan. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan melakukan dua macam penelitian yakni field research (penelitian lapangan) dengan terjun langsung ke lokasi penelitian yakni di Kantor Rantauprapat Pos dan Library Reasearch (studi kepustakaan) mengumpulkan artikel-artikel yang berkaitan sebagai data tambahan dalam penelitian. Strategi komunikasi bisnis yang diterapkan oleh surat kabar harian Rantauprapat Pos dalam menjaring pemasang iklan adalah dengan menerapkan tiga macam dari lima macam metode strategi komunikasi pemasaran. Rantauprapat Pos menerapkan Periklanan (advertising), Promosi dan penjualan tatap muka (Personal Selling). Rantauprapat Pos menerapkan pertama, periklanan. Sasaran yang ingin dicapai adalah masyarakat dari semua  kalangan ekonomi dan isi dari pesan yang disampaikan tidak langsung membujuk masyarakat untuk memasang iklan di Rantauprapat Pos namun lebih kepada pencitraan Rantauprapat Pos agar masyarakat dapat lebih percaya memasang iklannya. Kedua, kegiatan promosi. Hal ini agar popularitas Rantauprapat Pos bisa meningkat di mata masyarakat dan isi dari pesannya juga bukan bujukan langsung untuk memasang iklan, melainkan hanya untuk mengenalkan koran  Rantauprapat Pos kepada target pemasaran yakni generasi muda. Ketiga, strategi personal selling.  Hal ini berguna untuk mendapatkan  keuntungan yang besar dari para pemasang iklan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle and income on student financial management. This type of research is associative research. Data collection in this study was carried out through a survey approach with a quantitative descriptive research type by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, while the population used in this study were students of the management study program at Labuhanbatu University. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis tool used in this study used SPSS (Statistical Product Software Solution). Data analysis techniques in this study were descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing using partial significance tests (t-tests), simultaneous significance tests (F-tests), and determination coefficient tests (R2). The results of this study indicate that financial literacy, lifestyle and income have a positive and significant effect on student financial management both partially and simultaneously as seen from the results of the determination coefficient of 0.643. This value means that student financial management can be explained by financial literacy, lifestyle and income by 64.3%. While the remaining 35.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. In this digital era, digital literacy has become an essential competence for both teachers and students to adapt to technological developments and face global challenges. Digital literacy is not only limited to the ability to operate digital devices but also involves critical thinking skills in selecting information, ethical behavior in digital interactions, and the ability to use technology to support meaningful and effective learning. This study aims to examine various literature sources related to the development of digital literacy among teachers and students. Through a literature review method, this research analyzes concepts, roles, and strategies for developing digital literacy in education. The findings indicate that digital literacy plays a crucial role in improving teachers' professional competence and preparing students with 21st-century skills, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication (4C). However, digital literacy levels among teachers and students are still varied, influenced by factors such as limited access, lack of training, and low awareness of its importance. Therefore, the development of digital literacy must be intensified to create adaptive, productive, and technology-relevant learning environments.
