Abstract

The learning model is still used for the submission of verbal / lectures make students who have the ability to listen to high would be effective, but the students who have poor listening skills will be difficult to understand the material presented. It is thought to make low yields mathematics learning. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in learning outcomes of students learning math using TANDUR and expository models and assess the effectiveness of the model TANDUR and the model Expository towards learning outcomes in mathematics class VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihanin the Academic Year 2015/2016. The population in this study there are five classes. Samples were taken two classes with the technique of random sampling of classes and class VII D was chosen as an experimental class and class VII B as the control class. The design of this research is the control-group posttest only design. Data collection techniques using documentation technique and test technique. Data collection instrument in the form of test results to learn. Test data collection instruments used validity, distinguishing features and reliability testing. Data were analyzed using analysis prerequisite tests including normality test and homogeneity, continued to test the hypothesis using the T-test. Results of research on the significant level of 5% and dk = 52 show that: (1) There are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes using models TANDUR with mathematics learning outcomes of students who use the Expository models. This is indicated by the value of tcount = 2.4125 and ttable = 2.01025 so tcount>ttable, and (2) a model TANDUR more effective than Expository models on the results of students' mathematics learning. This is indicated by the value of tcount = 2.4125 and ttable= 1.67492 so tcount >ttable.

Abstract

This research is based on the low interest and low student learning outcomes, the teachers' limited skills in the field of computers, and the limited time that teachers have. The purpose of the research is to develop and understand the feasibility of Interactive multimedia-based Instructional Media with Adobe Flash C.S.3 in the subject of Algebra Operations for SMP / MTs. This research was developed with ADDIE model (1) Analysis: At this stage, the researcher analyzed the curriculum, materials, technology, situation, and condition (2) Design: The researcher provided the reference of the book, arranged the material, made the flowchart and Storyboard. (3) Development: Furthermore, the product development was done, then the product was validated and revised according to the suggestion from 3 persons who expert in the materials,, a person who expert in the media field, and after that was tried for  12 students. (4) Implementation: This product was experienced in a large class with 39 students. (5) Evaluation: Qualitative data from the test was converted into quantitative data on a scale of 5, then the result was converted into qualitative data. This research succeeded in developing the media of mathematics with algebraic material for students of SMP / MTs. The assessment results from a multimedia expert have obtained an average score of 42 with good criteria, as well as the student response rating 54.9216 in good criteria. The Overall Quality of instructional media Obtained an average score of 181.9216 in good criteria. These results indicate that learning media is worthy of use as a medium of learning.

Abstract

The use of instructional media in mathematics learning has not been maximally utilized. The teaching materials used are difficult to understand. The limitations of learning media cause students to feel difficulties in understanding the material. This development research aims to determine the development of mathematics learning media on Polygonmaterial based on Macromedia flash professional eight and the feasibility of mathematics learning media products in supporting mathematics learning on Polygonmaterial. This study uses the Research and Development (R & D) research and development model developed covering the research and data collection stages, planning, developing draft products, initial field trials, and revising trials' results. Subjects in the research and development of learning media were material experts, media experts, and students' responses to Muhammadiyah  Junior High School 2 (SMP 2 Muhammadiyah) Depok and  State Junior High School 4 (SMP Negeri 4) Patuk. This study's object is a medium of learning mathematics of Polygonmaterial based on Macromedia flash professional 8. This learning media has gone through a revision stage based on suggestions and input from material experts and media experts and student responses. The results showed that the assessment by material experts averaged 73.67 with very good categories. The assessment by media experts on average was 51.67 with good categories, and the assessment of student responses averaged 74.92 with excellent categories. These results show that mathematics learning media on Polygonmaterials based on Macromedia Flash Professional 8 is suitable for the learning process and gets positive responses from students.

Abstract

Many factors are associated with mathematics learning outcomes. Numerical ability, learning motivations, and parental attention were related to student learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aimed to determine whether there is a  relationship between numerical ability, learning motivations, and parental attention with math learning outcomes of students class VII in even semester of SMP Negeri 03 Kalibawang Wonosobo in academic year 2015/2016. The population in this study were students of class VII in SMP Negeri 03 Kalibawang Wonosobo in the academic year 2015/2016 consisting of three classes, are class VII A, VII B, VII C, by the total of students by 69 students. Class VII B was selected as a sample class using random sampling techniques, consisting of 23 students. Data collection techniques are done with the test and questionnaire methods. Contest instruments using validity, reliability, and power difference. After that, analysis prerequisite tests including normality, independence, and linearity test. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using product-moment correlation analysand multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that there is a positive and significant correlations between numerical ability, learning motivations, and parental attentions with math learning outcomes by multiple correlation coefficient (R) by 0,834 and regression equation = 36,6717 + 0,3497 X  + 0,6172 X  0,4482 X3, the relative contribution of variable X1 by 47,612%, the relative contribution (SR) of variable X2 by 30,661%, and the relative contribution of variable X3 by 21,727%, with the multiple determine coefficient (R2) by 0,695, the effective contribution of variable X1 by 33,121%, the effective contribution of variable X2 by 21,330%, and the effective contribution  of variable X3 by 15, 115%,

Abstract

Learning in school is still dominated by the teacher, causing a lack of involvement of the student in participating in learning activities and have difficulty in understanding the material. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of cooperative learning model type TAI and STAD on the results of student's mathematics learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kretek Bantul Academic Year 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kretek Bantul consists of 6 classes. The sampling technique using random sampling techniques, derived class VIII B as the experimental class I (TAI), VIII D as the experimental class II (STAD), and VIII C as the control class. Designs in this study using Posttest-Only Control Design. The data collection technique using the test method. Instrument test using validity test and reliability test. Test requirements analysis includes tests of normality and homogeneity test. Analysis of data to test the hypothesis using analysis of variance and LSD test. Results of analysis of variance with a significance level of 5% and df = (2,79) show that: (1) there is a difference between the results of the students' mathematics learning using learning model type TAI, STAD learning model, with the conventional learning models. This is indicated by the value and  and ,  then  rejected and (2) learning model type TAI and STAD more effective than conventional learning models on the results of students' mathematics learning. This is indicated by the results of LSD in case I  and LSD = 8,84, consequently  so  accepted. In Case II  and LSD = 8,76, consequently  so  rejected. While in case III |  and LSD = 8,76, consequently  so  rejected. It can be concluded .

Abstract

The low interest in student learning can be seen from students paying less attention when math lessons are taking place. The noisy home situation makes it difficult for students to concentrate on learning mathematics at home. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning and the learning environment at home with the learning outcomes of mathematics in students class VII MTs Muhammadiyah Gedongtengen Yogyakarta semester in the academic Year Of  2017/2018. This study's population was all students of class VIII odd semester at State Junior High School (MTs) Muhammadiyah Gedongtengen Yogyakarta in 2017/2018, consisting of 2 classes. The sample was taken from class VII B, which consisted of 21 students—the data collection ware test techniques and non - test. The data collection instruments were collected using a questionnaire and test methods. Test research instruments used were validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. The prerequisite test used was a normality test, linearity test, and independent test. Analysis of data used product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning and the learning environment at home with the results of learning mathematics with Fcount = 5,3828 dan Ftable= 3,55 so that Fcount>Ftable, the double correlation coefficient of  (R) 0,6118 and the coefficient of determination double  (R2) 0,3742. While the double regression equation Ŷ = 16,57 + 0,35 X₁ + 0,42 X₂ and obtained too RC = 40,15% and RC  = 59,85% and EC = 15,03% and EC = 22,4%.

Abstract

Limited learning resources is a problem that affects the achievement of learning goals. Teaching materials that can help students learn independently with or without a teacher's guidance is a module. This research is the development research to compose a mathematics module in trigonometry material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of Senior High School (SMA). Knowing the module that is developed is suitable or not if used in a mathematics lesson. This research uses  Research and Development to identify potential and problems, collect the information, design a product, design validation, design revision, experiment, and product revision. This research and development of the module are material expert, media expert, and students in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta and SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta. The Mathematics Module is developed using a Likert scale that changes the qualitative value into a quantitative value based on discovery learning. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The research results indicate that the mathematics module in statistics material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of SMA/MA has a good quality seen from the validity criteria. Based on material experts and media experts' assessment, an average score is 89,67 and 104, including very well criteria. The student's response to the module indicates that the module's good quality obtained an average score is 76,58. Based on the research results, the mathematics module in trigonometry material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of SMA/MA is suitable for the mathematics lesson.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan pengantar yang dapat menjelaskan apa yang dimaksudkan dari suatu materi dan sebagai wahana penyalur pesan serta informasi belajar. Dengan adanya pandemi menjadikan model pembelajaran matematika harus dilakukan secara daring. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang sesuai dan menarik peserta didik adalah video pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video interaktif sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah aljabar matriks. Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitan pengembangan dengan model 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, kuisioner serta hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan mengolah data yang diperoleh dari penilaian oleh validator dan respon mahasiswa. Deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan data dari hasil pengumpulan data, data yang ada direduksi yang diperoleh dari komentar saran perbaikan dari validator maupun dari mahasiswa, serta dari hasil tes mahasiswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran menggunakan video interaktif berdasarkan validasi ahli media dan materi masuk kategori baik. Penilaian yang dilakukan mahasiswa pada video pembelajaran Aljabar matriks juga pada kategori baik yang artinya layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.   Kata kunci: Media, Video Interaktif, Aljabar Matriks Abstract: Learning media is an introduction that can explain what is meant by a material and as a vehicle for distributing messages and learning information. With the pandemic, mathematics learning models must be carried out online. One of the appropriate and interesting learning media for students is learning video. This study aims to develop interactive videos as learning media in matrix algebra courses. The research procedure used is a development research with a 4D model consisting of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data collection instruments used in this study were validation sheets, questionnaires and learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive quantitative by processing the data obtained from the assessment by the validator and student responses. Qualitative descriptive to describe data from the results of data collection, the existing data is reduced which is obtained from comments on suggestions for improvement from validators and students, as well as from student test results. The results of this study indicate that the feasibility level of learning media using interactive video based on media expert validation and the material is in good category. The assessments made by students on matrix Algebra learning videos are also in the good category, which means that they are suitable for use in learning. Keywords: Media, Interactive Video, Matrix Algebra

Abstract

Pembelajaran di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Madureso Kuwarasan Kebumen, selama masa pandemi kurang efektif, karena siswa masih tetap harus didampingi dalam belajar. Di sisi lain, guru juga belum memiliki kemampuan dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran matematika yang interaktif secara daring. Dari dua permasalahan tersebut, guru memerlukan pelatihan pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Solusi dari permasalahan ini yaitu menggunakan media pembelajaran yang dipadukan dengan media waqom agar pembelajaran menjadi interaktif.  Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan menjadi dua tahap yaitu pelatihan pembuatan video menggunakan aplikasi screen recording dan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan pen tablet waqom. Selain itu dilaksanakan pendampingan bagi guru untuk menerapkan produk dalam pembelajaran matematika daring. Kegiatan dilaksanakan mulai bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan November 2021. Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebanyak 4 pertemuan secara daring maupun luring dengan peserta sebanyak 25 guru. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan guru yang semula belum mengenal penggunaan screen recording dan waqom menjadi tertarik untuk mengaplikasikannya dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.During the pandemic period, learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Madureso Kuwarasan Kebumen was less effective because students still had to be accompanied in learning. On the other hand, teachers cannot develop interactive online mathematics learning. From these two problems, teachers need interactive learning training to improve students' understanding. The solution to this problem is to use learning media combined with waqom media so that learning becomes interactive. This training was carried out in two stages: training on making videos using a screen recording application and training on making learning videos using a waqom pen tablet. In addition, mentoring is also provided for teachers to apply products in online mathematics learning. The activities are carried out from June to November 2021. This activity was held four times online and offline with 25 teachers. This activity showed that teachers who were previously unfamiliar with the use of screen recording and waqom became interested in applying them in learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract. The problem of this research is the lack of reading literacy and listening skills which results in low student learning outcomes in mathematics. This research was conducted to find out how the influence of reading literacy and listening skills on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research used is quantitative research with multiple regression experimental methods. The questionnaires and tests as data collection techniques. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used is inferential statistical analysis. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that reading literacy and listening skills have a positive and significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes, either partially or simultaneously. That is, reading literacy and listening skills which include 3 indicators, namely knowledge and understanding, application of activities (reading and listening), and reasoning play an important role in determining mathematics learning outcomes. The better reading literacy (knowledge, understanding, application of activities, reasoning) and listening skills (knowledge, understanding, application of activities, reasoning) of students, the better the learning outcomes.Abstrak. Masalah penelitian ini adalah kurangnya literasi membaca dan keterampilan menyimak yang mengakibatkan rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh literasi membaca dan keterampilan menyimak terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen regresi berganda. Adapun kuisioner dan tes sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistic inferensial. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa literasi membaca dan keterampilan menyimak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa baik secara parsial, maupun simultan. Artinya, literasi membaca dan keterampilan menyimak yang meliputi 3 indikator, yaitu pengetahuan dan pemahaman, aplikasi kegiatan (membaca dan menyimak), serta penalaran berperan penting dalam menentukan hasil belajar matematika. Semakin baik literasi membaca (pengetahuan, pemahaman, aplikasi kegiatan, penalaran) dan keterampilan menyimak (pengetahuan, pemahaman, aplikasi kegiatan, penalaran) siswa, semakin baik pula hasil belajarnya.
