Abstract

 This study aims to determine the level of correlation of socio-economic status to the political participation of the community of Sungai Lakam Barat Village in the General Election of Head and Deputy Regional Head of Karimun Regency in 2015 and also to find out the inhibiting factors and supporting factors of voting. The design of this study is quantitative where it uses a non probability sampling approach. The data collection technique used was questionnaire sheets which were submitted to the respondents. The analysis used is quantitative analysis which is presented in table form and then explained. Based on the results of this research, the socio-economic status influences the political participation of the Sungai Lakam Barat District Community in the 2015 General Election and Deputy Head of Karimun Regency and the most influential inhibiting factors for voting are loss of trust in politics, and the most influential contributing factor to voting is having an awareness of responsibility as a good Indonesian citizen Keywords: Participation, Politics, and Social Economy

Abstract

The significance of mapping the study of democratic parties through the presence of potential leaders as people's representatives in occupying executive positions in regional governments through individual channels. The unique path is a national legal political agreement in the area of elections that allows people who are not members of political parties to nominate themselves as regional heads in the Aceh region's provinces.The theory of political participation and leadership is used as a research mapping in an analytical scheme in this study. The research method employs a qualitative approach to interviewing techniques in order to examine the style of existence and political leadership of regional leaders on a case-by-case basis. The results explain: Individual candidates are more commonly referred to as "independent candidates" in Aceh, according to the findings. The existence of Pilkada became a doorway for former GAM political participation. Almost all GAM regional head candidates from governor to regent/mayor level won in the 2006 Pilkada. And in 2009 the individual candidates’ showed popularity in the Aceh regional elections decreased after former GAM formed a local political party in 2009 and discovered that a new independent candidate can win the pilkada if he possesses three characteristics: personal character, logistics, and political skills.

Abstract

Gadgets are digitally multifunctional communication tools in helping us provide information that is global in nature. So gadgets themselves have also become a trend in the world of children because of the various game facilities offered. Gadgets also make children get carried away by the impact and influence on their behavior so that many problems occur in the aspect of bad behavior. Children's souls are playing, of course, with the presence of gadgets, it has a huge impact on their growth and development. The majority of people spend a lot of time using gadgets every day. This is what happened to children in Bangka Jaya Village where the influence of gedget was very large. This is also inseparable from the role of parents towards their children. The implementation of community service in Bangka Jaya village, Dewantara district, North Aceh Regency is related to these problems. Therefore, the implementation of this PkM activity is expected to be able to improve the character of children who are virtuous and have good intelligence and mentality. This needs to be built in providing room for actualization for children but under parental control, including in the use of gadgets. In addition, the role of teachers and also the community is needed to support externally or positive support from outside the home. So Bangka Jaya village, Dewantara district, North Aceh Regency is expected to be able to implement this PkM application in the midst of its community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Pemerintah Daerah melalui Badan Kesatuan Bangsa dan Politik (Kesbangpol) serta Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kabupaten Asahan dalam mendorong partisipasi masyarakat pada Pemilu Serentak 2024. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya angka partisipasi pemilih di Kabupaten Asahan yang mencapai 74% dari total Daftar Pemilih Tetap (DPT) berjumlah 556.475 orang. Meski demikian, kenaikan partisipasi tersebut masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala, seperti keterbatasan transparansi data pemilu pada situs resmi KPU Asahan, akses informasi yang belum merata, serta kepercayaan publik yang belum sepenuhnya terbangun kembali.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi pihak KPU Asahan, Kesbangpol, tokoh masyarakat, serta pemilih. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa KPU Asahan berperan aktif dalam melakukan sosialisasi politik kepada masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan berbagai media dan pendekatan partisipatif. Sementara itu, Kesbangpol berfungsi sebagai mitra strategis yang memperkuat pendidikan politik berbasis komunitas sekaligus menjadi jembatan komunikasi antara pemerintah dengan masyarakat. Adapun hambatan utama partisipasi pemilih antara lain keterbatasan akses terhadap informasi pemilu yang terpercaya, rendahnya literasi politik, serta kurang transparannya kanal digital resmi KPU. Di sisi lain, kerja sama antara KPU dan Kesbangpol menjadi faktor pendukung penting dalam mengedukasi pemilih serta membangun kesadaran politik, khususnya melalui pendekatan komunikasi politik yang adaptif dan berbasis lokal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan peningkatan partisipasi pemilih tidak hanya diukur secara kuantitatif, tetapi juga ditentukan oleh kualitas strategi komunikasi serta keterbukaan informasi yang disediakan oleh lembaga terkait
