Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties experienced by students in understanding mathematical concepts in algebra materials, lack of student interest in learning, and limited use of learning resources. To overcome this, the researcher provide to develop interactive learning media using the Lumio platform in algebra materials to help students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. The results of the development measured are in the form of validity and practicality. Type of this study is Research and Development (R&D) by carrying out the development stages of ADDIE, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The sample of this study is 7th grade students in one of the junior high schools in Serang City. The research instruments used included teacher interview sheets, expert validation questionnaires, and response questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. This research produced a product in the form of interactive learning media using the Lumio platform on algebraic material. The results of the validation of interactive learning media earned a percentage of 89% from material experts, 89% from education experts, and 86% from media experts. The results of the response of teacher and students to interactive learning media earned a percentage of 85% from teacher and 74% from students. Thus, this study shows that the development of interactive learning media using the Lumio platform is declared valid and practical to be used in helping students' ability to understand mathematical concepts, especially in algebra materials.

Abstract

Mathematics anxiety is one of the problems that affects students' learning performance, especially for students with a certain level of self-confidence. To find out, this study aims to analyze the level of mathematics anxiety viewed from students' confidence levels. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a questionnaire as the data collection technique. The research was conducted in class X-4 at SMAN 1 Jawilan with 34 student respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency distribution and level categorization. The research results show that the average level of low mathematics anxiety is possessed by 5 students (14.7%), the average level of moderate mathematics anxiety is possessed by 23 students (64.7%), and the average level of high mathematics anxiety is possessed by 6 students (20.4%). Meanwhile, the results of student self-confidence levels show that the average level of low self-confidence is possessed by 5 students (8.82%), the average level of high self-confidence is possessed by students (82.85%), and the average level of mild/low mathematics anxiety possessed by students is 8.82%. Student self-confidence level has a positive effect on controlling anxiety in class X 4 students of SMAN 1 Jawilan.

Abstract

The research conducted is a development research that aims to develop Augmented Reality-based interactive quiz media through the use of TikTok filters to reduce students' mathematical anxiety. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Ciruas. The data collection instruments used were media feasibility questionnaire, media practicality, and media effectiveness. The feasibility test was conducted to 4 expert validators, namely 2 material expert validators and 2 media expert validators. The practicality test was conducted to 2 teachers and 30 students of grade VII of SMPN 2 Ciruas. The effectiveness test was conducted by 30 students of grade VII of SMPN 2 Ciruas. The results of the feasibility test by material experts amounted to 88.46% with very feasible criteria and the feasibility test by media experts amounted to 93.75% with very feasible criteria. The results of the media practicality test by the teacher were 96.15% with very feasible criteria and the student practicality test was 81.18% with very feasible criteria. The normality test results on (pre-survey) obtained a significance value of 0.134 and on (post-survey) obtained a value of 0.591. These results indicate that the significance value of pre and post . The results of the paired sample T-Test analysis showed that namely . It can be concluded that there is an effect of developing Augmented Reality-based interactive quiz media through the use of TikTok filters to reduce students' mathematical anxiety. Based on the results of the feasibility test, practicality, and effectiveness of the media, the media in the form of Augmented Reality-based interactive quiz through TikTok Filter Utilization can be used to reduce students' mathematical anxiety. Abstract

This research intends to examine the association between mathematics anxiety and students’ self-regulated learning within mathematics instruction by applying the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The investigation employed the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework consisting of identification, screening, eligibility, and included stages. The process of collecting articles was conducted through Google Scholar and GARUDA databases by employing the keywords “mathematics anxiety”, “self-regulated learning”, and “mathematics learning”. The selected publications were issued during 2016–2025. According to the filtering procedure, 9 studies satisfied the inclusion requirements. The findings revealed that mathematics anxiety adversely influences students’ mathematics learning, including academic achievement, mathematical communication competence, critical thinking ability, and mathematical literacy. Conversely, self-regulated learning contributes positively to students’ mathematical proficiency. Furthermore, the synthesis findings demonstrate an association between mathematics anxiety and self-regulated learning, in which effective self-regulated learning assists students in managing emotions and dealing with pressure during mathematics learning. Consequently, educators are required to apply instructional strategies capable of minimizing mathematics anxiety while strengthening students’ self-regulated learning so that mathematics learning may proceed effectively.
