Abstract

Nias Island is an island located west of North Sumatra dipesisir which has a fairly high level of seismicity. This paper discusses the problem of forecasting the occurrence of tectonic earthquakes for the island of Nias, located on the site: 0º19LU - 1º82LU and 96.97 BTº- 98.53ºBB. By using the data a powerful earthquake that caused damage. Tectonic earthquake forecasting is done with method 3 parameter Weibull distribution, two parameter Gumbel distribution and exponential distribution of parameter 1. using the data as much as 47 damaging earthquakes from year 1960 to 2012, which is a major earthquake (mainshock) the magnitude of 6.0 - 9.1 SR. To calculate the waiting time distribution forecasting using a third used the software Mathematica for Windows version 8.0. Making the program requires data - input data relating to waiting times of earthquakes in the past to the present. By making this prediction program to predict the timing of the tectonic earthquake in Nias Island.So predictable subsequent tectonic earthquake in Nias island territory will occur on September 4, 2013 when predicted using the Weibull distribution with three parameters, dated April 5, 2013 if the forecast using the Gumbel distribution with two parameters and dated September 4, 2013 when predicted using the method of distribution exponential with a parameter.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digunakan sebagai alat penunjang yang dapat digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar di sekolah. Media pembelajaran dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah: 1) Memberikan pengetahuan teoritis kepada guru-guru TK Islam Al-Ghazali Tangerang Selatan tentang pentingnya penggunaan media pembelajaran sains di TK, 2) Melatih guru-guru TK Islam Al-Ghazali Tangerang Selatan menggunakan media sains sederhana sebagai penunjang pembelajaran sains untuk anak TK. 3) Melatih guru TK Islam Al-Ghazali Tangerang Selatan membuat media sains sederhana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan di TK Islam Al-Ghazali Tangerang Selatan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru sangat senang dengan diadakannya pelatihan penggunaan media pembelajaran. Selain itu pengetahuan guru-guru TK juga meningkat yang dilihat dengan peningkatan kreatifitas guru dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran sains sederhana. Hasil praktik mengajar dan penggunaan media oleh guru-guru TK menunjukkan hasil yang baik, dilihat dari cara penyajian materi dan cara mengajar guru dalam membelajarkan sains juga meningkat. Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran Sains, Guru, Taman Kanak Kanak. Abstract The use of learning media as a supporting tool in the teaching and learning process in class. Learning media can be a solution to overcome learning problems. The objectives of this activity are: 1) Providing theoretical knowledge the teachers of Al-Ghazali Islamic Kindergarten about the importance of using science learning media, 2) Training the teachers of Al-Ghazali Islamic Kindergarten using learning media as a support science learning for kindergarten. 3) Training the teachers of Al-Ghazali Islamic Kindergarten in South Tangerang makes media science. Location of this activity at the Al-Ghazali Islamic Kindergarten in South Tangerang. The results of the activities are that teachers are very happy with the training on the use of learning media. Besides that, the knowledge of teachers increases which can be seen from the increase in creativity from the teacher in creating simple science learning media. The results of teaching practices by teachers showed good results. It can be seen from the presentation and how to teach in learning science is increase. Abstract

The utilization of e-module is infallible be required in blended learning approach. Nevertheless, the existence of e-modul has not been wide known among teachers. Therefore training on e-module design through SIGIL software for teachers in MTs YAPPI Mulusan been done, as community service (PKM) activity by Physics Education Study Programme, FKIP UKI. The survey questionnaire used to evaluated the participant satisfaction. The surveys finding including: 1) All participant strongly agree that the training was beneficial in learning activity; 2) As many 87,5% participant agree that SIGIL as uncomplicated software to design e-module, while only 50% participants strongly agree that SIGIL as up to date software; 3) As many 72,9% participant satisfy with the usability of e-modul produced; and 4) As many 95,6% participant satisfy with the trainer. Hence, this community service implemented quite well, likewise the expectation of e-module development be concerning to the blended learning preparation.

Abstract

Enzymes are the same biomolecules such as proteins, has only a functional difference. Enzymes are biocatalyst that recently applied to many industrial fields. To be applied in the field of industrial enzymes should be enhanced stability against temperature. Analysis of the salt bridge is able to demonstrate the potential of residues mutated to improve thermal stability. Molecular dynamics simulations performed by observing the unfolding process. Variations in temperature used is 400 K, 450 K and 500 K, respectively performed for 2.5 ns. Then analyzed the pair a salt bridge is formed. There are 25 pairs of salt bridges at a temperature of 400 K, 24 pairs of salt bridges at a temperature of 450 K, and there are 30 pairs of the salt bridge is formed at a temperature of 500 K. To determine the salt bridge partner is a key enzyme kesstabilan we then plotted salt bridge between distances (Ã… ) with time (ns) only at a temperature of 500 K, for allegedly at these temperatures has been a process of unfolding. Of the 30 pairs of the salt bridge that had plotted the distance with time, the pair obtained a salt bridge that pattern similar to the pattern chart graph analysis Root-mean-square deviation (RMSD). There are three curves salt bridge that pattern is similar to the pattern of RMSD curve and SASA, namely the salt bridge Glu84-Arg134, Asp104-Arg134 and Asp113-Arg115. The sharp rise in the value of RMSD and the resulting rupture SASA three pairs of the salt bridges. So when carried mutations in-silico candidate mutants that will be transferred is the amino acid residues are thought to play a role in electrostatic interactions and replace it with another amino acid residue on the basis of structural similarities. Abstract

Noise is one of the major environmental health problems in big cities. Noise is an unwanted noise that can interfere with and or endanger health. Road traffic is a major source of noise that disrupts most urban communities. The impacts of noise in the housing environment on public health include communication disturbances, psychological disorders, complaints and demonstration actions. The purpose of this research is to know the noise level at Flyover Pasar Rebo and HI Roundabout and to know whether the noise level in Flyover Pasar Rebo and Bundaran HI is still suitable for human hearing. Based on the research that has been done, obtained that the level of kebisisngan in Flyover Pasar Rebo is 62,25 dB. With the highest average noise level of 69 dB which occurred during the day at 11.30-12.00 WIB and at 12:00 to 12:30 pm. While the noise level at Roundabout HI is 61.50 dB. With the highest average noise level of 65 dB which occurred in the morning at 07.30-08.00 WIB. From the data it can be seen that the noise level in Flyover Pasar Rebo is higher than the noise level at Bundaran HI. This is due to the number of vehicles traveling on the highway Flyover Pasar Rebo more than at the HI Round about. Noise levels in the Pasar Rebo and HI Roundabout flyovers are already at "hard" levels and this is not good for health especially on human hearing.Keywords: Noise, Traffic, Flyover Pasar Rebo, HI Roundabout

Abstract

Noise is one of the waveforms that can be heard by human hearing. Truth is the activation of sound that can not be done. The effect of sound on humans not only affects the auditory organ, but also can affect other organs, such as narrowing of blood vessels and heart system. Truth caused by transportation is very disturbing but not all of it is caused by transportation. Wisdom can also occur in public places or facilities such as hospitals and children's playgrounds, one of the children's and children's favorite theme parks is TimeZone Mall. You can do research to measure and learn the level of playground at TimeZone Mall Taman Anggrek and TimeZone Tamini Square. The average measured result of 6 readings with calculations per 60 minutes in the orchid mall's time zone is 70.5 dB and the tamini square time zone is 65.33 dB. In the time zone of the orchid mall park and the tamini square time zone there is no value beyond the threshold limit (85 dBA). Abstract

Xylanase is one type of enzyme that has an important role in the field of industry. One way that can be done to improve the thermostability of an enzyme is by protein engineering . Mutation of these proteins can be done by studying the structure of proteins through molecular dynamics simulation approach. In this research, thermal stability analysis on the structure of Aspergilus niger Wild Type xylase (AnX) was performed. This study aims to study the thermal stability characteristic of Aspergilus niger xylanase enzyme through molecular dynamics simulation approach. Molecular dynamics simulations of AnX were performed using NAMD (Not Just Another Molecular Dynamic) software at at a temperature of 300-500 K. This study focused on studying the thermal stability characteristic of the enzymes to obtain information on residues that are responsible for the characteristic. Selection of residues to be mutated, based on the results of Hydrophobic Interactions. Based on the analysis results, the design of mutant Xylanase enzyme that is more thermostable than the Wild Type Xilanase Enzyme, so it can provide suggestions a more stable Xilanase mutation design that can be implemented into wet experiments to genetically engineer the Aspergilus niger xylanase enzyme. Xylanase Aspergillus niger enzyme is unfolded at 500 K at 9.5 ns. The residues responsible for the thermal stability of Xilanase Aspergilus niger enzyme based on hydrophobic interaction analysis are Alanine at residue 60. This residue is in segment / chain 3. The best mutant that can increase thermal stability is indicated by the Alanin 60 residue replaced with Methionin. The mutant Alanin 60 residue that replaced with a methionine mutant obtained ΔΔGsolv value of -21.10345. Thus the Ala60Met mutant is the most stable mutant supposed to increase thermal stability of Aspergillus niger Xilanase Enzyme. Keywords : enzyme, thermostability, mutation, molecular dynamics

Abstract

Various efforts were made to develop a more effective discovery of malaria drugs. One of them is by utilizing computer technology. The use of computers in the discovery of new drugs aims to improve the efficiency of simulation and calculation processes in designing drugs (drug design). The purpose of this study was to analyze Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6- malonylglucoside) compounds against the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase (PfENR) receptor as Anti Malaria. The research stages are first, the search for ligand and receptor compounds. Second, the preparation stage of ligand compounds and receptors. Third, the docking simulation stage uses vina autodock. Finally, the analysis stage of the docking results. The results of the study is Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6 malonylglucoside) ligand compounds that have good stability against the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase enzyme (PfENR. This can be seen from the low bond energy, which is -10.7 kcal / mol. Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6 malonylglucoside) ligand has a good bond between ligand and receptor to the stability of the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase enzyme (PfENR because there are 6 hydrogen bonds. 5 bonds between hydrogen and receptor and one bond between hydrogen and ligand The interaction between ligands and receptors that are also formed is stable seen in the hydrophobic interactions and electrostatic interactions formed.The residues that form hydrophobic interactions are ALA217, ALA319, LEU315, MET261, TYR277 and TYR111 residues, while the electrostatic bonds are residues ASP107, SER317, SER215, GLY106 and LYS285 From this interaction it can be seen that the Cyanidin 3.5 ligand -di- (6 malonylglucoside) is stable to be used as an inhibitor of the Plasmodium falciparum Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase (PfENR) enzyme. From some parameter analysis above, it can be concluded that Cyanidin 3,5-di- (6 malonylglucoside) ligand compound has good stability as an antimalarial drug candidate. Abstract

The need for implants increases with the high number of fracture sufferers resulting from accidents both on the road and workplace accidents. Bioceramics is a ceramic product or component used in the medical and dental industry, especially as an implant or organ replacement. Hydroxyapatite is one type of bioceramics that is widely used because it has osteoconductive properties (can stimulate bone growth), bioactive and biocompatible. This study aims to find the optimal temperature of the calcination process of duck egg shells and quails as the basic ingredients of HAp. The research method is calcination of duck eggshells then the optimum temperature produces the best CaO. The calcination results obtained that the optimum temperature of calcination of duck eggshells and quail eggs was 1000oC for 6 hours. The results obtained are CaO with clean white color powder and fine grain size. Keywords : Quail eggshell, calcination, dugg egg shell
