Abstract

Education is a matter of life and living. The whole process in human life and life is the education process itself. Education is so important that Allah sent down the first verse to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, which is an order for humans to read and understand the meaning and purpose of creation, implying the process of divine education (QS 96:1) and basyariah (QS 96:4). This study aims to explore the urgency and paradigm of Islamic education contained in sura al-Alaq; 1-5. The method used in this research is a literature study. The data used were obtained from relevant sources consisting of books, journals and writings. That it is important to read between the lines of this verse, in order to develop basic human potential so that they are able to carry out the mandate to become caliphs on earth and become pious servants. Education that can develop the role of humans as caliph fil ardh is education that refers to the conceptual foundation with the main teachings of aqidah and morals. It is through the basic teachings of aqidah and morals that humans become intelligent, trustworthy, responsible, and have positive values, so they can create a safe and peaceful environment.

Abstract

According to WHO data (2022), in 2020, nearly half (47%) of all under-five deaths occurred during the neonatal period (the first 28 days of life). One of the causes of neonatal death is premature birth. In premature infants, the sucking and swallowing reflexes are not yet fully developed. One of the treatments to improve the sucking reflex in infants is oral motor therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oral motor therapy on weak sucking reflex disorders in premature infants in the NICU of Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital in 2025. This research used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The population of this study consisted of all premature infants in the NICU of Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital, South Sumatra Province, from December 30, 2024, to January 30, 2025. The sample consisted of 15 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Statistical analysis was performed using the paired sample t-test. The results showed that oral motor therapy had a significant effect on weak sucking reflex disorders in premature infants in the NICU of Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital in 2025, with a p-value of 0.000. It is recommended that better nursing care be provided, especially for premature infants, through collaboration with pediatricians to improve weak sucking reflexes in premature infants using oral motor therapy.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tentang penguatan literasi publik melalui Bedah Buku daring ini diinisiasi dan dilaksanakan saat awal sekali Indonesia dilanda pandemi COVID-19 pada tahun 2020. Saat itu, di awal COVID-19 menembus pertahanan Indonesia, pemerintah terlihat tidak siap, hingga akhirnya pemerintah memutuskan kebijakan work from home (WFH). Penulis buku menjadi narasumber pada kegiatan Bedah Buku ini, sementara para peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini dari berbagai daerah yang berbeda-beda dengan profesi yang beragam. Mayoritas persertanya adalah guru mulai dari guru SD, SMP, dan SMA, kemudian akademisi dan dosen serta masyarakat umum. Dalam situasi COVID-19, kegiatan Bedah Buku online ini menjadi oase untuk tetap belajar dan terlibat dalam dialektika intelektual serta memperkuat literasi dengan berbagai topik tanpa dibatasi ruang. Kekhawatiran dan kecemasan akan pandemi COVID-19 yang begitu menyeramkan di masa-masa awal wabah ini dapat diminimalisir dengan kegiatan Bedah Buku daring ini. Para peserta mendapatkan ilmu, pengetahuan, jejaring sehingga meningkatkan penguatan literasi.
