Abstract

AbstrakGarcinia mangostana L. merupakan salah satu spesies dari famili Guttiferae kaya senyawa dari golongan xanthon. Manggis memiliki juvenil yang lama. Salah satu metode yang dapat memecahkan masalah dalam perbanyakan tanaman manggis dalam jumlah yang banyak, bisa sepanjang musim dan menghasilkan tanaman yang seragam yaitu kultur in vitro. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan konsentrasi terbaik antara Benzil Amino Purin (BAP) dan madu terhadap induksi tunas dari eksplan biji manggis yang belah tiga melintang  secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan BAP (0;3 mg/L) dan madu (3;6 mg/L) pada media MS (Murashige-Skoog) dengan pengamatan 70 hari setelah tanam (hst). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian BAP maupun madu mampu meningkatkan pembentukan tunas. Pemberian BAP dan madu berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase terbentuknya tunas, waktu muncul tunas, jumlah tunas dan panjang tunas.  Jumlah tunas terbanyak terdapat pada perlakuan 3 mg/L BAP sebanyak 20 tunas per biji. Kombinasi perlakuan dengan penambahan 3 mg/L BAP + 3 ml/L madu menghasilkan persentase terbentuk tunas tertinggi (100%); waktu muncul tunas tercepat 12,75 hst; dan panjang tunas tertinggi 1,86 cm. Pada penelitian ini telah berhasil menginduksi tunas dari biji manggis yang dibelah tiga melintang asal Bengkalis dengan penambahan BAP dan madu.AbstractGarcinia mangostana L. is one of the species within the family Guttiferae that rich in compounds from the class of xanthon. Mangosteen has time juvenile problems. One method that can solve the problem in the mangosteen plant propagation which can be produced in a large number in all season and uniform is in vitro culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the best concentration of BAP and honey to induce the formation of shoot from explants of mangosteen seeds split transversely into three pieces by in vitro method. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a treatment of BAP (0;3 mg/L) and honey (3;6 mg/L) on MS medium with 70 days of observation. The results showed that the BAP and honey can improve the formation of shoots. The addition of BAP and honey significantly affected the percentage of the formed shoots, the period of shoots appear, the number of shoots and shoot length. The treatment of 3 mg/L BAP resulted in the most shoots formed as many as 20 shoots per seed. The combined treatment 3 mg/L BAP + 3 ml/L of honey produced 100% of the formed shoots; fastest period of shoots appear (12.75 DAS); and the longest shoot (1.86 cm). Therefore, the addition of BAP and honey to the three transversely-split mangosteen seeds from Bengkalis origin successfully induced the formation of the shoot.

Abstract

Grammatophyllum scriptum var. citrinum is one variant of endangered from habitat destruction due to logging and forest fires and hunts by orchid collectors. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of BAP and NAA concentration in the root orchid propagation G. scriptum var. citrinum. The results showed that the application of BAP and NAA significant effect on the time of formation appeared roots (19 days), the best root number in the treatment of BAP 0.5 mg/l + 1.0 mg/l NAA for (5 pieces) and root length was obtained NAA 1 mg/l and a combination of 1.0 mg/l BAP + 0.5 mg/l NAA respectively 6.66 cm and 7.40 cm.

Abstract

The allelopathic substances are an organic agents which produced and released by a plant that cause alteration on the neighboring plants. This research was aimed to determine the effect of Ageratum conyzoides L. leaf extract and also to determine optimum concentration on seed germination and growth of weed Paspalum conjugatum Berg.. This experiment used to extract concentration 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The experiment showed that germination and growth of Paspalum conjugatum Berg.were reduced and to happen damage by leaf extract of Ageratum conyzoides L. The highest germination, growth inhibition and demage at concentrations of the leaf extract 20% respectively are 80.5%, 63.15% dan 17,72 %.

Abstract

Rodent tuber (Typhonium sp.) belongs to Araceae that has a potential as medicinal plant. This procedure takes a long periode to produce a large quantity of plant. Therefore, an in vitro propagation using callus culture is necessary to solve this problem.  This research aimed to determine the best concentration of 2,4-D and kinetin to induce callus of in vitro leaf rodent tuber explants. This research used in vitro leaft explants of rodent tuber with MS medium.  The design used is Randomize Group Design with 10 treatment. The results showed that explants could not produce callus, the explants response just a swelling leaf explants. The treatment that could give up to 100% swelling response was 2.4-D 0.5 mg / L dan 1 mg / L and the combination treatment 0.5 mg / L 2.4-D + 0.3 mg /L kinetin, 0.5 mg / L 2.4-D + 0.5 mg / L kinetin and 1.5 mg / L 2.4-D + 0.5 mg / L kinetin.   The treatments that could maintain 66.67% explants growth was the combination 0.5 mg / L 2.4-D + 0.5 mg / L kinetin and 1 mg /L 2.4-D + 0.5 mg / L kinetin.

Abstract

Permasalahan penyakit infeksi dan penyakit degeneratif sering dialami masyarakat Desa. Pengobatan yang lebih memadai dan intensif membutuhkan jarak yang jauh dan biaya mahal. Alternatif lain untuk pengobatan intensif dengan biaya murah adalah pengobatan herbal melalui pemanfaatan tanaman pekarangan yang mudah tumbuh, yaitu tanaman obat, tanaman buah, tanaman hias dan tanaman liar. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah menambah pengetahuan dan minat masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan berbagai tanaman pekarangan untuk pengobatan di Desa Danau Pulai Indah Kecamatan Kempas, Indra Giri Hilir Riau.  Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi, pembagian buku tentang pemanfaatan tanaman pekarangan untuk pengobatan, dan bantuan bibit tanaman pekarangan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh masyarakat anggota kelompok Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) dan kelompok tani di  Desa Danau Pulai  Indah.  Hasil  evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat meningkat setelah dilakukan kegiatan, baik mengenai jenis-jenis tanaman maupuan pemanfaatannya. Tambahan pengetahuan yang didapatkan warga selama kegiatan adalah semua tanaman (tidak hanya tanaman obat) yang ada di pekarangan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengobatan herbal, yaitu tanaman buah-buahan (sirsak, mangga, jambu biji, mengkudu, nangka, pisang, dan rambutan), tanaman hias (tapak dara, bunga mawar, kembang sepatu, dan bunga kamboja),  serta tanaman liar (alang-alang, ciplukan, putri malu, dan meniran). Seluruh peserta berminat untuk memanfaatkan tanaman pekarangan untuk pengobatan, baik untuk penyakit infeksi (batuk, demam, flu, dan diare) maupun penyakit degeneratif (hipertensi, reumatik, magh, asam urat, kanker, sakit kepala, dan kolesterol).

Abstract

The target becomes a self-reliant village must be accompanied by strengthening village ability in supplying the basic needs independently. Vegetables are one of the crucial basic needs to achieve a healthy and prosperous society. The demand for vegetables in Sungai Bawang Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency, is constrained by the available land for vegetable farming. Hydroponic planting system offers the technique without soil that can be implemented anywhere. It has added value in providing clean and hygienic vegetables. Hydroponics technology system of Deep Flow Technique able to provide water and oxygen for plants and suitable for leafy vegetables. Hydroponic is appropriate to be implemented in Sungai Bawang village and did not require huge land in applying this technology. The mentoring strategy is carried out by counseling and demonstration of direct planting stages and the practice by the community. This activity gave a positive influence on the community as well as many people who want to apply this technology. This was the first step in increasing the income of the community, especially farmers. And for the community in general, this technology facilitates the people to get vegetables easily at an affordable price.

Abstract

VCO Bertuah is an MSME in Pekanbaru that produces virgin coconut oil. Bertuah VCO has legality permits in the form of IUMK, NIB and P-IRT Certificate. However, Bertuah VCO does not have a halal certificate, BPOM distribution permit, and product SNI. The marketing of Bertuah VCO products is mostly done online, especially through social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Other digital marketing strategies such as youtube and websites have not been carried out. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that UMKM need assistance to take care of business legality. It is necessary to have active communication between UMKM and government agencies in charge of business licensing. Assistance activities have succeeded in increasing partners' understanding of the business legality management procedures. Assistance activities are very helpful for partners in preparing documents for business legality requirements. Assistance activities increase partners' understanding of digital marketing strategies through the website, instagram and youtube. Assistance activities help partners prepare advertising content in the form of product photos, instagram feed designs, video testimonials, and good ad copywriting.

Abstract

The duck farming business can develop well by improving the management of duck eggs into smoked salted eggs of various flavors. The service activity aims to educate members of the Sialang Baru Palm Oil Farmers UKM about the use of cadling and processing smoked salted eggs with various flavors. The target community for this activity is around 15 people. The service method has three stages, namely first, making leaflets about candling and making smoked salted eggs. Second, the provision of material through socialization activities, in the form of lectures and discussions. Third, the practice of using egg candling and the practice of processing smoked salted eggs of various flavors. Evaluation by giving questionnaires before and after the lecture to participants. The results of the questionnaire were tabulated and described. The results of the dedication resulted in making salted eggs by smoking better than ordinary salted eggs. The taste of the egg texture is better and the yolk color is more yellow than ordinary salted eggs. Shorter manufacturing time is 7 days and smoking is 12 hours. The use of a smoked oven from a used drum is designed to have 3 shelves for eggs and fuel with wood husks. The people of the Sialang Baru Palm Oil UKM were very enthusiastic with the attendance of more than 70%. The counseling and practice of processing smoked salted eggs have educated the community to further develop their business in the future.
