Abstract

Dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan sangat perlu memperhatikan salah satu aspek dalam pendidikan yakni berupa sarana dan prasarana yang ada pada bengkel sekolah, tujuannya untuk meningkatkan prastasi serta hasil belajar sehingga siswa menjadi aktif dan kreatif dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara tertutup serta dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data, dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dengan model Analysis Interactive. Hasil penelitian pada bengkel SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya terdiri dari 1) Pengadaan dan distribusi sarana dan prasarana pada bengkel Teknik Bisnis Sepeda Motor SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya dalam keadaan baik namun terdapat 4 area kerja yang belum memenuhi standar yaitu pada luas ruangan area kerja; 2) Pengorganisasian bengkel berjalan dengan baik serta saling berkordinasi antara pengelola bengkel; 3) Inventarisasi dan kebijakan penghapusan sarana dan prasarana, pengelola bengkel menerapkan aturan dari pemerintah serta sekolah agar sesuai dengan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Secara keseluruhan pada manajemen bengkel SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya berjalan dengan baik dan lancar akan tetapi pada bagian prasarana dapat 4 area kerja yang belum memenuhi standar yaitu pada luas ruangan area kerja.

Abstract

The use of E-Learning applications is currently very much needed in overcoming gaps in face-to-face lectures along with technological developments and learning gaps during the pandemic. This study aims to develop an Android-based ISpring Suite 8.0 learning application for Mechanical Engineering Education Students as one of the E-Learning facilities in the Learning Outcomes Assessment course. In addition, this study aims to determine the feasibility of applications and student perceptions of the applications being developed. This study uses research and development methods. The results of the feasibility test data for the learning application from media experts can be obtained by a percentage of the feasibility of 91.4% in the very feasible category, for the results from material experts of 76.9% in the feasible category, for the results of the respondent's assessment of the product trial by 86% in the category. very feasible, and the results of the respondents' assessment on the usage test were 83.8% in the very feasible category. In addition, students' perceptions and expectations of the Mobile Learning application in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program amounted to 80%. Based on the criteria of Steer (1993), thus, the level of satisfaction is between (80% - 100%) which means high satisfaction, so the quality of the Mobile Learning application is perceived by users to achieve high satisfaction.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat  (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan kepada sekolah tentang salah satu strategi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan permainan, khususnya  di Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Desa Sangal Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 11 Desember 2019.  Salah satu teknik yang dapat dilakukan dalam suatu pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, yaitu pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui permainan. Dengan demikian akan menumbuhkan motivasi bagi siswa untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris yang dapat dilakukan oleh sekolah sebagai mata pelajaran muatan lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan praktik langsung kepada anak  didik, sehingga menjadi suatu pengalaman pembelajaran bagi siswa. Siswa mempraktikkan langsung pembelajaran melalui permainan ini pembelajaran tersebut akan melekat dan menjadi pengalamannya. Tanggapan dari siswa melalui wawancara untuk memperoleh tanggapan tentang pembelajaran yang dilakukan diperoleh tanggapan yang positif dan dapat meningkatkan motivasi untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris lebih lanjut. Hasil tes secara lisan diperoleh 80% siswa dapat menjawab dengan benar. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa materi yang diberikan dalam bentuk permainan akan mudah diingat oleh siswa. Pembelajaran menggunakan permainan adalah salah satu alternatif metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mempelajari Bahasa Inggris, sehingga metode pembelajaran ini dapat dilakukan oleh guru menjadi suatu pilihan dalam pelajaran Bahasa Inggris. This Community Service activity aims to introduce to schools one of the English learning strategies with games, especially in public elementary schools in Sangal Village, Central Kalimantan Province, held on December 11, 2019. One of the techniques that can be done in English learning, namely English learning through games. Thus, it will motivate students to learn English, which schools can use as local content subjects. The method is by direct practice to students so that it becomes a learning experience for students. Learners practice learning directly through this game; the learning will stick and become their experience. The response from students through interviews to obtain feedback on the learning was positive and can increase motivation to learn English further. Oral test results obtained 80% of students can answer correctly. This shows that students will easily remember the material through games. Learning using games is one of the alternative learning methods that can increase students' learning motivation in learning English, so this learning method can be carried out by teachers as an option in English lessons.

Abstract

The chicken roaster has a function for roasting, by utilizing air for cooking it is considered more energy efficient than using charcoal completely. In the process, the charcoal used has weaknesses, such as the smoke produced and the preparation time is quite long. In addition, the food also becomes less hygienic and easy to burn. To overcome this, through community service activities, it is realized by making grills that are faster and easier by utilizing used waste. In the design, analysis is carried out to find out how far the usefulness of the tool according to the user. From the results of the questionnaire obtained three variables, namely the safety features of the tool and the ease of following the instructions for use which have a high index of 97%. For the next variable followed by tool design and color composition by 94%.

Abstract

In the world of children, physical activities are a vital key to their development, and play becomes a crucial aspect in this process. Utilizing play equipment, children's learning and interaction can be facilitated. Through the Community Engagement initiative conducted by the Mechanical Engineering Education at Bakuwu Kindergarten, Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR), innovative principles are integrated into the creation of children's play equipment. The primary objective of this initiative is to gain insights from both teachers and parents regarding the produced play equipment. The research methodology employs a mixed-methods design, incorporating Pareto analysis. The results reveal that maintenance and upkeep of the play equipment constitute a predominant issue, contributing to 34% of the overall problems. It can be concluded that the maintenance of play equipment is a critical element in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of activities. Sustained development and improvement have long-term benefits for children, educators, and the community. Recommendations for enhancement encompass heightened awareness, regular maintenance, and the implementation of continuous improvement cycles, aligning with the Pareto analysis principles that emphasize addressing the most significant issues for optimal outcomes.
