Abstract

The competition of working world in the industrial revolution era 4.0 requires many countries to improve themselves in producing the quality of human resources. Therefore, vocational education institutions as producers of workforce that ready to work have to produce the top notch output. This demand have to be immediately reflected and implemented in formal education and training programs. By the existence of laboratory, students are able to do anything to learn and practice their skills due to the characteristics of vocational education are more underlined in the development of learners' psychomotor aspects. Hence, the existence of laboratory has a crucial role for vocational education in order to enhance the quality of vocational education thus the improvement of vocational program quality for final graduates are achieved greatly.

Abstract

The use of E-Learning applications is currently very much needed in overcoming gaps in face-to-face lectures along with technological developments and learning gaps during the pandemic. This study aims to develop an Android-based ISpring Suite 8.0 learning application for Mechanical Engineering Education Students as one of the E-Learning facilities in the Learning Outcomes Assessment course. In addition, this study aims to determine the feasibility of applications and student perceptions of the applications being developed. This study uses research and development methods. The results of the feasibility test data for the learning application from media experts can be obtained by a percentage of the feasibility of 91.4% in the very feasible category, for the results from material experts of 76.9% in the feasible category, for the results of the respondent's assessment of the product trial by 86% in the category. very feasible, and the results of the respondents' assessment on the usage test were 83.8% in the very feasible category. In addition, students' perceptions and expectations of the Mobile Learning application in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program amounted to 80%. Based on the criteria of Steer (1993), thus, the level of satisfaction is between (80% - 100%) which means high satisfaction, so the quality of the Mobile Learning application is perceived by users to achieve high satisfaction.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, where social interaction was limited, including in conducting thesis guidance as well as the teaching and learning process in class, face-to-face was replaced with online learning. If the application of learning videos can increase student motivation and achievement, especially undergraduate students, this study will develop a learning video that emphasizes a medium in conducting thesis guidance, namely how to guide thesis to students using video media that will be developed by researchers by emphasizing the guidance provided. also provides experience of scientific thinking processes. The video was developed based on the flow of thought in thesis writing starting from Chapter 1 to Chapter 5, so that the thesis guidance video is a medium in thesis guidance that will facilitate the supervisor in conducting self-learning-based guidance. Students will do self-evaluation, self-improvement and self-strengthening on thesis guidance with a validated thesis guidance video 3 Material Experts and Media Experts with an average score of 74.6% with a decent category. Student responses on material aspects are average. The average score is 3.40 in the good category, the benefit aspect is 3.45 and the benefit is 3.45, all of which are in the good category.

Abstract

Abstract

In the world of children, physical activities are a vital key to their development, and play becomes a crucial aspect in this process. Utilizing play equipment, children's learning and interaction can be facilitated. Through the Community Engagement initiative conducted by the Mechanical Engineering Education at Bakuwu Kindergarten, Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR), innovative principles are integrated into the creation of children's play equipment. The primary objective of this initiative is to gain insights from both teachers and parents regarding the produced play equipment. The research methodology employs a mixed-methods design, incorporating Pareto analysis. The results reveal that maintenance and upkeep of the play equipment constitute a predominant issue, contributing to 34% of the overall problems. It can be concluded that the maintenance of play equipment is a critical element in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of activities. Sustained development and improvement have long-term benefits for children, educators, and the community. Recommendations for enhancement encompass heightened awareness, regular maintenance, and the implementation of continuous improvement cycles, aligning with the Pareto analysis principles that emphasize addressing the most significant issues for optimal outcomes.
