Abstract

The quality of education in Indonesia needs to be improved, One of the efforts undertaken by the college through learning model development. The purpose of this research is to analyze the development of the learning model Reciprocal Teaching Pair Share (rtPS) in improving student learning outcomes microbiology and Testing the effectiveness of the learning model Reciprocal Teaching Pair Share (rtPS) in improving student learning outcomes at the Teachers' Training College Budi Utomo. The model used in this research is the development model of Thiagarajan 4D (1974). The 4D model has four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Design test for individual testing and small scale trial is descriptive, whereas for large-scale field trials using quasi-experimental. Data were analyzed using General Linear Model (GLM) - Multivariate SPSS 16. The results showed that the development model of reciprocal teaching decent pair share used in learning activities. The results of large-scale trial could be concluded no effect on the learning model of cognitive learning outcomes of students. besides the development of a model reciprocal teaching pair share effective in improving student learning outcomes microbiology Budi Utomo Malang Teachers' Training College.Keywords: Learning Outcomes , rtPS ( Reciprocal Teaching Pair Share )

Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi pembelajaran pada matakuliah pengembangan bahan ajar di IKIP Budi Utomo Malang Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi, secara garis besar kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan model diskusi presentasi. Kegiatan diskusi presentasi yang dilakukan belum mampu mengakomodasi keaktifan mahasiswa. Sehingga diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan melalui penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa pada matakuliah pengembangan bahan ajar melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Langkah PTK meliputi perencanaan, implementasi tindakan, pengamatan, dan evaluasi/Refleksi. Langkah tersebut dilakukan pada setiap siklus. Data yang didapatkan berupa data lembar observasi serta aktivitas kelompok dalam pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, aktivitas belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 69,03% menjadi sebesar 86,03% pada siklus II. Mahasiswa mampu melaksanakan seluruh tahapan proyek dengan baik pada siklus II. Produk yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum.

Abstract

Ethnobotany is a science that studies the relationship between humans and plants and their traditional use. One of the ethnobotanical studies is found in the Javanese people in Berongkal Hamlet, which is one of the community groups that still preserves traditional ceremonies, one of which is related to the culture of planting rice. This study aims to study ethnobotany in the wiwitan tradition in Berongkal Village. The research was carried out for 2 months (May - June 2025) in Sidomakmur Hamlet, Berongkal Village, Pagelaran District, Malang Regency. This type of research is exploratory descriptive. The research instrument is a questionnaire used for interviews. The stages of the research include determining informants, interviewing informants, taking plant samples, and identifying plants. Data collection is done by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is qualitative. The results of the study show that in the Javanese community in Berongkal Village there is a traditional wiwitan ceremony related to the culture of planting rice with one of the activities carried out, namely placing offerings near the rice fields that have been planted with rice. In carrying out the traditional ceremony, as many as 15 types of plants and other media such as mineral water and jugs are used. The part of the plant that is most widely used in the wiwitan tradition is the flower. In addition to the Javanese, several types of plants are also used by other community groups. This indicates the existence of ethnic closeness between these community groups.

Abstract

One form of local culture that contains scientific wisdom is the wiwitan tradition related to ecology, astronomy, and natural management that is still relevant to modern scientific concepts. However, not all elements of society know about the wiwitan tradition, especially the younger generation. The wiwitan tradition, which is local wisdom, is an ancestral heritage that must be preserved, one of which is through an ethnoscience approach. The wiwitan tradition has undergone transformation along with globalization. The study of the transformation of wiwitan culture in the context of modern science has never been studied. This study aims to study the transformation of wiwitan culture in the context of modern science, using an ethnoscience approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using interview techniques with farmers who have knowledge of the wiwitan tradition. Data analysis uses techniques of grouping, describing, classifying, and interpreting data. The results of the study indicate that ethnoscience studies on the wiwitan tradition are found in the types of offering plants related to biodiversity, implementation before harvest time related to the natural cycle and astronomy, values ??contained in the tradition related to sustainable agriculture. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating local knowledge in the context of modern science to maintain local wisdom and enrich science. This research is expected to continue in other ethnoscience studies of local wisdom.

Abstract

Masa remaja pada jenjang SMP merupakan fase yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan hidup manusia. Masalah umum yang terjadi di jenjang SMP seperti tekanan akademik dan perubahan emosional dan sosial dapat berdampak negatif pada kesehatan mental remaja. Kurangnya pemahaman terkait kesehatan mental mengakibatkan ketidakmampuan remaja dalam mengontrol emosi mereka. Tujuan dari penyuluhan kesehatan mental remaja yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka mengenai kesehatan mental. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian terdiri atas observasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian di SMP Dharma Wanita 02 Wajak dengan sasaran kegiatan yaitu peserta didik kelas IX. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik tentang kesehatan mental remaja yang dapat dilihat dari tingginya tingkat antusiasme peserta didik selama kegiatan berlangsung. Kegiatan penyuluhan tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan yang bermanfaat, tetapi juga mendorong mereka untuk saling berbagi tentang masalah kesehatan mental yang sering dianggap sensitif.

Abstract

Kanigoro Village is located in Malang Regency. It is home to a variety of plants with medicinal potential. However, not many residents, especially the younger generation, are familiar with the traditional knowledge surrounding these plants. An inventory of the village's plants could be used to preserve traditional knowledge and local biodiversity. The purpose of this research is to preserve medicinal plants in the Kanigoro Village area of ??Malang Regency through an inventory. The study was conducted using a descriptive-exploratory method through interviews with local knowledgeable community members and field observations in June 2025. The research findings identified 20 species of medicinal plants from 16 families commonly utilized by the community, such as Pluchea indica, Stachytarpheta jamaicensis, Hippobroma longiflora, Clitoria ternatea, Paederia foetida, Phyllanthus niruri, Portulaca oleracea, Amaranthus viridis, and others. There are 20 species from 16 plant families used and processed as traditional medicine, with the most common medicinal plants belonging to the Fabaceae, Rubiaceae, Zingiberaceae, and Asteraceae families. There are 90 types of diseases that can be treated using wild plants found in Kanigoro village. The plants are most commonly found in yard habitats. This research emphasizes the importance of conserving wild plants and preserving ethnobotanical knowledge, serving as a basis for the development of traditional medicines and environmental education. The data obtained are expected to be beneficial for further research and the development of herbal products based on local plants.

Abstract

Based on observations in the course of learning development of teaching materials in IKIP Budi Utomo, an outline of the learning activities using a model presentation discussion.Discussions presentations that do not yet able to accommodate the activity of the students. Some students look sleepy, some even speak for themselves with their friends. So, we need the learning process interesting and fun through classroom action research (PTK) with the implementation of project-based learning. Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to describe the increase in students' learning activities in the course material development through project-based learning. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK). PTK steps include planning, implementing action, observation, and evaluation / reflection. These measures were taken in each cycle. This study uses three cycles. Data obtained in the form of learning process and field notes taken from the observation sheet as well as the group's activities in the lessons learned from the observation sheet. Overall, students' learning activities increased from the first cycle of 69.03% to 86.03% in the second cycle. Students are able to carry out all stages of the project is well on the second cycle. Products produced in accordance with the demands of the curriculum.

Abstract

Learning material is one of the facilities needed by students to help them find concepts and answers to their problems. There are various types of learning materials, one of which is a practical guide. Based on observations on learning materials and the learning process of Biochemistry courses at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang shows that there are no practical manuals developed and students' scientific workability is low. The aim of the research is to improve students' scientific work abilities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based biochemistry practicum books. The research method used was Classroom Action Research. Stages of Classroom Action Research include planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research instruments used were interview sheets, observations, and observations of scientific work capabilities and camera documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in students' scientific work abilities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based biochemistry practicum books from cycle I to cycle II in the amount of 36.18% to 88.8% and N-gain values of 0.84 (high criteria). Thus, this research concludes that there is an increase in students' scientific work abilities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based biochemistry practicum books.

Abstract

This study aims to produce LKS based on problem based learning coupled think pair share and can be applied in teaching and learning process, describe the implementation of learning, the level of legibility of students after using LKS based prbolem based learning combined think pair share. This research is a development research using 4-D development model that is Define (Define), Design (Design), Develop (Development), while Disseminate stage (Dissemination) is not done due to time constraint. The pilot phase was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kambera in class XI-IPA which amounted to 8 students. The results showed that in accordance with the study of LKS, the worksheet of students based on problem based learning combined think pair share process that has been developed declared eligible for trial. Implementation of learning using LKS has reached / obtained the average implementation of% The level of legality of LKS based on problem based learning combined think pair share of students obtain the overall average of 3.87% stated in the category Very Worthy, it shows that most Students argue the material and media used are easy to understand and the appearance of student worksheets (LKS) interesting.
