Abstract

Kualitas air tambak menjadi menurun akibat penumpukan kotoran udang, aktivitas bakteri, ganggang, dan lain-lain, sementara penggantian air baru juga memiliki risiko yang tinggi dengan tingginya kemungkinan masuknya virus berbahaya ke dalam tambak. Salah satu cara untuk menjaga kualitas air tambak adalah dengan melakukan aerasi secara teratur. Ketersediaan listrik menjadi kendala untuk areal tambak udang di Desa Alue Kumba akibat belum terkoneksinya jaringan listrik PLN. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji efektivitas kincir angin sebagai solusi penyediaan oksigen terlarut pada tambak udang tradisional di Desa Alue Kumba serta dapat menjaga kualitas air selama pemeliharaan udang yang dapat berujung pada peningkatan produktivitas tambak. Perlakuan yang diterapkan merupakan kombinasi konstruksi kincir angin dan air tambak dengan sistem kecepatan angin oleh turbin savonius yang ditimbulkan untuk menggerakkan bagian kipas yang memunculkan tenaga pembangkit gelembung pada kolam tanah (tambak). Hasil kombinasi kincir yang dilakukan efektif dalam menghasilkan oksigen terlarut dalam tambak tradisional di Desa Alue Kumba Kecamatan Rantau Selamat Kabupaten Aceh Timur.

Abstract

Biodiesel is produced by esterification-transesterification, using alcohol as a reactant and acid and base catalysts. Electrocatalyst is a method to increase production yield by utilizing H+ and OH– ions as a catalyst. This study aims to investigate the biodiesel production process through the esterification-transesterification reaction and analyze the physicochemistry of biodiesel produced from CPO by electrolysis using platinum electrodes. CPO was esterified-transesterified and then analyzed the production yield and physicochemistry of biodiesel. Rsults showed that the highest biodiesel yield was produced at a voltage of 6 V, which is 88.67%, the lowest acid value and moisture content of biodiesel was produced from a voltage of 12 V are 0.99 mgKOH/g and 0.75%, the kinematic viscosity that met the SNI biodiesel standards resulted in a voltage of 6 V and without the use of electrolysis, namely 3.53 cSt and 3.63 cSt, and the highest flash point value for biodiesel is produced from a voltage of 12 V, which is 109 ° C.   Keywords:  Biodiesel, Crude palm oil (CPO), Electrolysis, Physicochemical, Platinum.

Abstract

Purpose: This research paper explores an integrated solution for managing tofu waste from the SOLO Tofu Factory. By combining anaerobic digestion technology with urban organic farming, the study aims to provide a sustainable waste management model that benefits the factory and the surrounding community. Method: The study utilized mixed methods, including qualitative interviews and quantitative on-site observations. Anaerobic digestion technology was employed for waste treatment, and its effluent was analyzed for its potential as a bio-fertilizer. A sustainable urban organic farming system was developed, utilizing treated waste for cultivation. Data analysis involved qualitative thematic and quantitative measurement analysis. Practical Applications: The integrated approach offers helpful solutions. It provides the factory with an eco-friendly waste management solution, reducing pollution. The urban organic farming system promotes sustainable agriculture and remediates land, making it cultivable. This model serves as a blueprint for similar industries, fostering community development and environmental awareness. Conclusion: The research demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating anaerobic digestion and urban organic farming for tofu waste management. This approach offers practical, scalable solutions, reducing pollution, promoting sustainable agriculture, and fostering community development.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted in Seuneubok Punti Village, Manyak Payed Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, in collaboration with the “Kloneng Jaya” Farmers’ Group. The program aimed to enhance farmers’ self-reliance and competitiveness through the development of sorghum cultivation and downstream processing based on appropriate technology. The main challenges faced by the partners included limited crop diversification, inadequate technical cultivation capacity, underdeveloped post-harvest processing, weak business management, and limited market access. The program was implemented using a participatory extension approach through counseling, technical training, demonstration plots, field mentoring, technology transfer, and continuous evaluation of program achievements. Interventions included agroecology-based sorghum cultivation training, establishment of demonstration plots, post-harvest processing into value-added products, formation of a Joint Business Group, and development of digital marketing strategies. The results demonstrated significant achievements, including the establishment of a 0.5 ha demonstration plot, an increase in farmers’ technical capacity of more than 80%, the availability of processed sorghum products (rice, flour, and derivative products), the establishment of a farmers’ economic institution, and the implementation of digital marketing practices. The program contributed positively to income generation, institutional strengthening, technology adoption, and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The integrated upstream–downstream approach proved effective in transforming farmers into more independent, productive, and sustainable agribusiness actors while supporting local food diversification and rural economic development.

Abstract

Program Mahasiswa Berdampak merupakan salah satu upaya strategis dalam mendukung pemulihan masyarakat pascabencana banjir bandang melalui pendekatan pemberdayaan dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Johar Kecamatan Karang Baru Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang yang merupakan wilayah rawan banjir dengan mayoritas masyarakat bergantung pada sektor pertanian. Tujuan program ini adalah memperkuat ketahanan pertanian, meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat, serta mendorong kemandirian dalam menghadapi risiko bencana di masa mendatang. Pelaksanaan Program Mahasiswa Berdampak di Kampung Johar dilakukan dengan penerapan teknologi dan inovasi yang diarahkan pada optimalisasi tanaman pekarangan, pemulihan serta peningkatan kapasitas produksi peternakan rakyat pascabencana, peningkatan akses air bersih dan sanitasi sederhana, serta perbaikan akses jalan usaha tani telah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas hidup kelompok tani dan masyarakat sekitar. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan dengan survei dan sosialisasi, tahap pelaksanaan dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan penerapan teknologi, serta tahap pendampingan dan evaluasi . Program difokuskan pada optimalisasi tanaman pekarangan, penguatan peternakan rakyat skala rumah tangga, penyediaan akses air bersih dan sanitasi sederhana, serta perbaikan jalan usaha tani. Teknologi yang diterapkan antara lain pekarangan produktif adaptif bencana, kandang ternak skala keluarga yang tahan terhadap bencana, serta sistem penyediaan air bersih berbasis filtrasi sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan Program Mahasiswa Berdampak berhasil mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan dan berpotensi menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis inovasi yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah terdampak lainnya dengan memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan partisipasi mitra yaitu Datok Penghulu beserta seluruh aparatur desa, kelompok Berkah Jaya Tani sebanyak 29 orang, Kelompok Remaja Tani sebanyak 20 orang dan masyarakat lainnya. Pemanfaatan pekarangan mampu mendukung ketahanan pangan dan menambah pendapatan rumah tangga, peningkatan kapasitas produksi dan pengelolaan yang lebih baik, penyediaan air bersih dan perbaikan akses jalan usaha tani turut meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan kelancaran distribusi hasil pertanian
