Abstract

The aim of this research is explore the shadow economy in the Pulang which written by Tere Liye. The novel is analyzed by using content analysis to find evidence and criticism on shadow economy and conspiracy. The research finds shadow economy is the main theme of the novel. Tere Liye defines very clearly the shadow economy and conveys to the reader that the shadow economy has become part of the world community, especially Indonesia. Not only that, the shadow economy has also taken root. Moreover, conspiracy became focus on the novel, From the beginning of the novel, conspiration will destroy and seize power Tong Family. Bashir is first conspirator.Based on the conspiracy theory, the researcher found the real conspirator in the novel was Bujang because Bujang acquired the Tong family. He also wants to take over leadership of the Tong family.

Abstract

Abstract - The purpose of this study is to explore how to explore communication and literary perspectives on the study of Jenggo short story by Putu Wijaya's stigma communication. The focus of the stigma communication studied is how the community's stigma about a transvestite is considered weak. Pansy stigma arises in communication that focuses on messages. This research method is content analysis with a qualitative approach with a critical constructivist paradigm. This study analyzes stigma communication with the theory put forward by Smith (2007) with the perspective of sociology and communication by Durkheim (1947) and Goffman (1963). The results of this study lead to stigma communication that occurs in Jenggo short story including signs, labeling groups, responsibilities, hazards, to the impact of messages and the process of sharing messages. This research also proves the meaning of messages in stigma communication. In an effort to ward off stigma, literature has a big role because it is able to provide other perspectives that encourage stigma communication that is more transparent and responsible for the harmony and lasting climate of peace in society. Building positive communication within the community is expected to have an impact on the construction of stigma communication that leads to a healthy and plural society.Keywords: Stigma, Communication, Stigma Communication, Jenggo, Putu WijayaAbstrak  - Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana menangkal stigma dengan perspektif komunikasi dan sastra pada kajian komunikasi stigma cerpen Jenggo karya Putu Wijaya. Fokus stigma yang dikaji adalah bagaimana stigma masyarakat tentang orang banci yang dinilai lemah. Stigma banci muncul dalam komunikasi yang berfokus pada pesan. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis isi dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis kritis. Penelitian ini menganalisis komunikasi stigma dengan teori yang dikemukakan Smith (2007) dengan perspektif sosiologi dan komunikasi Durkheim (1947) dan Goffman (1963). Hasil penelitian ini mengarah kalau komunikasi stigma yang terjadi pada cerpen Jenggo meliputi tanda, pelabelan kelompok, tanggung jawab, bahaya, hingga dampak pesan dan proses berbagi pesan. Penelitian ini juga membuktikan tentang arti pesan dalam komunikasi stigma. Dalam upaya menangkal stigma, sastra memiliki peran besar karena mampu memberikan perspektif lain yang mendorong komunikasi stigma lebih transparan dan bertanggung jawab demi keharmonisan dan kelanggengan iklim perdamaian di masyarakat. Membangun komunikasi yang positif di dalam komunitas diharapkan bisa memberikan dampak konstruksi komunikasi stigma yang mengarahkan ke masyarakat yang sehat dan plural.Kata kunci: Stigma, Komunikasi, Komunikasi Stigma, Jenggo, Putu Wijaya

Abstract

The goal of this research is exploring the syntagm in the short story Jaket Ayah by Eep Saefulloh Fatah. The research method in this research is content analysis. The result and the analysis of the research, the research finds some syntagm elements, the first syntagm is the politician which consist the arrogant political party, the magician, full of theatrics, the traitorous, the tactics, and many promises. Another syntagm is a political party consisting of a cadre crisis, a candidate for leader, a clean person, and a regional head election. Other syntagm is dowry which related to political costs, consolidation and coordination, and extortion. The other syntagm was the other candidate bupati namely imaging, campaign, and famous. The most syntagm is the family which consist attention, affection, and build the future. Next, two very prominent signs are the jacket and the savings. The jacket is a witness in every political event involving the father. Savings funds should be used for the best interests that have been planned from the beginning. A savings fund should be a chapter that must determine a comforting new life rather than troubling and worrying. "Jaket Ayah" was written by Eep Saefulloh Fattah who is a political observer who loves to write stories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implikatur pada berita terjemahan pada situs berita BBCIndonesia.com dengan membandingkan dengan situs berita aslinya BBC.com. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis teks, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan berparadigma konstruktivis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implikatur memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan dalam proses penerjemahan. Pemahaman terhadap implikatur melalui prinsip kerja sama Grice menjadikan proses penerjemahan lebih memperhatikan keseimbangan makna antara bahasa sumber dan bahasa sasaran. Itu dikarenakan proses penerjemahan merupakan bentuk komunikasi antara penerjemah dengan pembacanya.

Abstract

Post-truth in politics when it is warming up with various phenomena. The research objective revealed and explored in this study is how post-truth digital political communication strategies. The research method uses descriptive qualitative with a qualitative approach with critical paradigm and analysis. The post-truth political communication strategy that will be delivered is applicable and can be applied in the practice of political communication. The strategies are fake news: between facts and lies; near-lie: use the right words to form wrong impressions; deception with self delusion; spin: favorable interpretation of facts; euphemasia; repetition; personalization; and ignoring rationality, prioritizing emotions. The digital political communication strategy is more focused on how to use digital media for the benefit of political communication. The strategies are blogging; influencing public opinion; social media: building enggage and closeness; and mainstream media; focusing entertaining and attractive. These three strategies are based on digital media that are fully utilized in terms of digital political communication post-truth.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth about celebrity politics as part of political communication by Ukrainian presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy who won the election in 2019 in two rounds. The paradigm of this research is critical constructivist with the case study research method based on Zelensky's speeches and political statements in the mass media. The results of the analysis and discussion showed that Zelensky's popular celebrity status was Zelensky's main selling power and strengthened his position, used a political communication style approach that opposed mass media hegemony, maximized the role of social media, did not attend talk shows, and did not attend public debates. It shows the offer of an approach that actually challenges the system neatly and constructively, but destructively. However, the various policy programs offered by Zelensky actually did not dare to fight the mainstream, they still followed the flow, such as supporting EU and NATO membership, fighting Russia, and strengthening the Ukrainian economy. A popular policy that is different from Zelensky is its efforts to legalize marijuana, prostitution and gambling in certain cities.

Abstract

AbstrakBrexit (Britain Exit) menjadi babak bersejarah dalam perpolitik Inggris yang menentukan masa depan negara itu menuju keluar dari Uni Eropa. Pemerintahan Perdana Menteri Theresa May meletakkan pijakan pertama Brexit, tetapi dia gagal mewujudkannya karena harus mengundurkan diri. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan model komunikasi kepemimpinan Perdana Menteri Inggris Theresa May dalam kekuasaan pada 2016-2019. Paradigma dalam penelitian ini adalah konstruktivis dengan pendekatan kualitatif, serta menggunakan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan beberapa model komunikasi kepemimpinan Theresa May. Model komunikasi kepemimpinan yang diterapkan Mei menerapkan "garis merah". Kemudian, May menerapkan model gaya kepemimpinan pemimpin robot; tanpa ekspresi dan percaya pada program sehingga ia disebut Maybot. Selain itu, May adalah pemimpin tanpa identitas kelompok, pemimpin dengan identitas Inggris karena selama pengangkatan awalnya sebagai pemimpin Partai Konservatif yang secara otomatis menjadi penerus David Cameron untuk PM Inggris, May menjanjikan program radikal dalam reformasi sosial dan dia ingin mewakili kepentingan rakyat pekerja dan rakyat biasa. Sebenarnya, May bukanlah pemimpin yang karismatik, tetapi seorang pemimpin yang melayani karena esensi kepemimpinan di bulan Mei ada dalam program yang sedang diperjuangkan pemerintahnya. Yang menarik, May adalah pemimpin konservatif yang melayani kepemimpinan. AbstractBrexit (Britain Exit) is a historic stage in British politics that determines the country's future towards leaving the European Union. Prime Minister Theresa May's government laid Brexit's first footing, but she failed to make it happen because he had to resign. This research is to explain the communication model of British Prime Minister Theresa May's leadership in power in 2016-2019. The paradigm in this research is constructivism with a qualitative approach, as well as using content analysis methods. The results of this study reveal several Theresa May leadership communication models. The leadership communication model applied by May is applying the "red line". Then, May applied the robot leader leadership style model; expressionless and trusting in the program so he is called Maybot. Furthermore, May is a leader without a group identity, a leader with a British identity because during his initial appointment as the leader of the Conservative Party who automatically became David Cameron's successor to the British PM, May promised a radical program in social reform and he wanted to represent the interests of the working people and ordinary people. In fact, May is not a charismatic leader, but a leader who serves because the essence of leadership in May is in the program that his government is striving for. Interestingly, May is a conservative leader that is serving leadership.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to explore the experience aesthethic in the novel O written by Eka Kurniwan through postmodernism perspective. The research method is content analysis because it'is a literary research. The result of this research are the writer finds the experience aesthetic elements in the novel O, such as object directness, felt freedom, detached affect, active discovery, and wholeness. Besides, the writer also explores about the marriage between postmodernism and experience aesthetics in the novel O which focus on plot and character.

Abstract

Nowadays, educators, parents, and government have been faced by the new problem and it’s very dangerous. What is it? It is a terrorism. If this problen can be solved by immediately, so the Indonesian future will face dark age. Education institution must responsible with terrorisme problem. Not onlythe government, but every elements such as religion and social organizaion.The soul of education in Indonesia is curriculum. Curriculum is the center of education system. If the curriculum is band so education system can not be maximum on the process, and finally the output of education can not be responsible. This soul is run by physic and mind. The physic of education is student, and the the mind is teacher. If three elements support each other and having good sinergy, so it will create the comprehensive  education.In the case of terrorism problem, the element which has significant touch is government. Although terrorism is the common enemy for all Indonesian society. For prevent terrorism, governement or the other elements need help from education sector. The soul of education is curriculum. So there are any development and creation of antiterrorism curriculum.The famous book which written by Robert S Zais, “Curriculum Principles and Foundations”, he classified eight models for developing the curriculum. Zais in Sukmadinata (1997); Subandijah (1993: page 70-75); and Akhmad (1997: page 50-51), these model are adminstrative model, bottom up, demonstration, Beauchamp, Hilda Taba, Interpersonal relationship by Rogers, Systematic Actions Research, and Technology. Keywords: Curriculum, antiterrorism, schools, boading schools

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore literary to provide an understanding of communication in the poem Selamat Tahun Baru Kawan by KH Mustofa Bisri (Gus Mus) with a focus on dismantling the language system and sociocultural system. The approach of this study is qualitative and uses the content analysis method. Data collection techniques use documentation techniques. The data analysis technique starts from compiling a summary of the abstraction in the form of a body, explanation, and structuring. The results of this study indicate that language system in the poem by Gus Mus raises meaning that can be drawn in terms of denotative and connotative. Then, the diction game was also played by Gus Mus. Selection of diction shows a certain representation. Furthermore, rhyme and rhythm games are also important aspects of Gus Mus's poetry. In the socio-cultural system, in Gus Mus's poem the focus is on matters of faith which become identities in many of his poems. He insinuated the way to believe that many Muslims, especially in Indonesia, ignored the essence and tended to show more image. In addition, the socio-cultural elements that emerge are sentiments that can be parameters of social stability, and goals that are the direction of community movement. Not to be left behind is decisive power and dominance in society, and tension also plays with paradoxical narrative
