Abstract

Learning allows all students to be able to access education, including students with special needs. In the current pandemic, all learning activities are converted into online. However, students with special needs, especially blind and deaf students, have difficulty adapting and accessing learning using e-learning. It causes difficulties in understanding the contents of the material, and applications used cannot fully accommodate the needs of blind and deaf children. It has an impact on decreasing learning outcomes. The method used in this study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with an exploratory mixed-method research design. The subjects of this study were blind students (7 people) and deaf students (3 people) special education department in Uninus. The results showed that the Interactive Web-Based Learning (IWL) learning model had a good effect on the learning outcomes of blind and deaf students, especially in the physiology analysis subject for children with special needs and the growth and development of children with special needs. With the Interactive Web-Based Learning (IWL) learning model, it is hoped that blind and deaf students can explore more in online-based learning.

Abstract

Berkembangnya pendidikan inklusif secara nasional di perguruan tinggi menjadi pendorong bagi pemerintah untuk menyediakan kebijaan yang ramah untuk semua, termasuk bagi mahasiswa disabilitas. Progam Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka memberikan kesempatan untuk  belajar di luar kampus melalui program yang beragam. Tujuannya adalah  dapat mengakomodasi keberagaman potensi dan hambatan mahasiswa sehingga dapat dikembangkan untuk mencapai kompetensi yang sesuai dengan potensi dan bakatnya.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi kebijakan MBKM di tingkat prodi bagi mahasiswa diabilitas dan persepsi mahasiswa disabilitas terkait implementasi kebijakan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan total sampling yang melibatkan 29 mahasiswa diabilitas yang terdiri dari 20 mahaiswa tunanetra, 8 tunarungu dan 1 tunadaksa. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pemahaman dan persepsi yang beragam dari mahasiswa disabilitas mengenai kebijakan MBKM dan terdapat prosentasi yang tinggi dari mahasiswa disabilitas yang belum memahami kebijakan ini. Kendala utama yang dihadapi dalam mengikuti program MBKM adalah kesulitan  adapatasi terhadap lingkungan baru yang belum memberikan aksesibilitas dalam hal fisik dan sosial serta hambatan komunikasi

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the form of instructional communication that occurs between teachers and students with special needs in inclusive schools. . In conducting instructional communication, teachers need to consider the characteristics of students with special needs to be able to determine the appropriate form of communication so that learning objectives can be achieved. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The study was conducted in four elementary schools in Bandung City. The results of the study indicate that (1) several factors influence the form of teacher instructional communication to students with special needs which include factors of teacher competence, student characteristics, class participation, school environment readiness, and parental support; (2) in carrying out instructional communication the teacher uses various methods. channels in the form of simple and focused verbal, persuasive verbal, appropriate intonation and volume; (3) the use of multi-sensory methods that use props, clear and straighforward auditory information and visual strategies with attractive pictures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun instrument asesmen perilaku anak Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) di sebuah sekolah khusus di kota Bandung. Salah satu ciri utama anak ASD adalah memiliki masalah dalam perilakunya. Oleh karena itu asesmen perilaku menjadi dasar yang penting untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis masalah perilaku yang dialami anak dan menentukan bagaimana penanganan serta program yang tepat bagi anak. Dalam studi pendahuluan ditemukan data bahwa di sekolah khusus tersebut belum memiliki instrument asesmen perilaku anak ASD. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini di fokuskan pada penyusunan instrument asesmen perilaku yang dapat digunakan oleh sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan tekknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, angket, studi dokumentas dan validasi instrument. Jumlah responden guru sebanyak 3 (tiga) orang, validator 3 (tuga) orang dan responden siswa 3 (tiga) orang. Instrumen asesmen perilaku di adaptasi dari Teori Matson yang terdiri dari tiga aspek yaitu perilaku yang diamati, dugaan penyebab perilaku utama dan perlakuan yang paling memperngaruhi perilaku tersebut. Di uraikan menjadi sepuluh sub aspek perilaku yaitu berteriak.menjerit, merusak benda/barang, agresif terhada orang lain, melukai diri sendiri, mengancam, mengumpat, emosi yang tidak tepat, flapping hands, hiperaktif dan tantrum. Setelah divalidasi dan di uji , instrument asesmen dinilai layak untuk digunakan di sekolah

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan sistem lingkungan yang paling dekat dengan anak. Anak-anak dengan keterlambatan perkembangan motorik membutuhkan intervensi dini. Oleh karena itu, program yang dikembangkan adalah program yang ditujukan untuk mendukung keluarga agar keluarga mampu menerapkan intervensi dini pada anaknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun program intervensi dini berbasis keluarga (family-based). Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah teori ekologi yang meyakini bahwa perkembangan individu dipengaruhi oleh sistem lingkungan. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan mengadapatasi tahapan penelitian menjadi tiga tahap yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan program, dan implementasi program. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara kepada tiga keluarga sebagai subjek penelitian dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Studi pendahuluan merupakan analisis terhadap kondisi anak dan keluarga sehingga menghasilkan temuan berupa potensi dan kebutuhan keluarga. Kategori potensi berdasarkan aspek-aspek dalam Family Functioning Style yang meliputi: komitmen, kohesi, komunikasi, kompetensi, dan koping. Hasil analisis tersebut menjadi dasar untuk merumuskan rancangan program. Desain program kemudian divalidasi melalui expert judgment. Hasil implementasi program adalah: (1) program dapat dilakukan oleh keluarga dengan latar belakang dan kebutuhan yang berbeda, (2) prioritas utama program adalah membantu keluarga pada aspek komitmen dan kompetensi yang diperlukan untuk melakukan intervensi, (3) program telah memfungsikan aspek-aspek potensial yang dimiliki keluarga dalam melakukan intervensi dini pada anak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the pedagogical competence of teachers in vocational skills for students with intellectual disabilities. Vocational skills teachers at Special Education Schools are required to master the types and characteristics of students with special needs and the basics principles of special education. The research subjects were 37 special schools teachers in West Java Province. The research used a quantitative approach with the type of survey method and used as an evaluative method. This research is intended as validation to measure the effectiveness of the life skills training program model in developing social independence and productive work skills students with mild intellectual disabilities. The research technique used a questionnaire instrument with percentage data processing. The result showed : a) pedagogical competence in planning, qualitatively declare good (88,5 %); b) the understanding of educators to believe the importance of identifying individual programs (90%); c) educators conditioning the initial learning activities well (90%); d) the understanding of educators in competence to carrying out skills education well (90,5%), including: mastery material component development of systematic training strategies; e)reflection of educators by involving participants (87%), follow up by paying attention to completion of the participant’s assignments and by giving directions for enrichment activities or tasks (89%).

Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disabilities experience limitations in their cognitive abilities, which can impact their academic performance, particularly in subjects such as mathematics. To facilitate comprehension for these children, it is essential to use concrete and engaging learning media. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of such media in aiding children with disabilities in learning mathematics. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The findings reveal that some children with mild intellectual disabilities are able to recognize geometric shapes with teacher guidance, although others continue to face challenges. The study concludes with the development of validated mathematics learning media designed to help Grade VII students with mild intellectual disabilities recognize geometric shapes using Geoboard media. The study recommends that schools provide educational props or support media to enhance mathematics instruction related to data structures. It is also suggested that teachers and parents integrate these media into every lesson for practical application, with the goal of continuous improvement in the accessibility and effectiveness of learning media for children with mild intellectual disabilities.
