Abstract

This article discusses the custom of female circumcision for the people of Gorontalo, carried out for generations. The procession of female circumcision custom process has its symbol, meaning, and purpose, that expects every circumcised girl to be a religious woman, useful for family, community, nation-state life. Besides, she is expected to have a responsible and trustworthy leader spirit. The role of women as leaders and how to behave in leadership is reflected in the custom practices of female circumcision. The results showed that in the perspective of the Gorontalo community, the female circumcision tradition is an obligation because of its values as a translation of religious importance. The persistence of Gorontalo people to always preserve this tradition is maintained, even though some scholars and communities view that female circumsicion is not a compulsory matter. Artikel ini membahas mengenai adat khitan perempuan bagi masyarakat Gorontalo yang dilakukan secara turun temurun. Urutan prosesi adat khitan perempuan memiliki lambang, arti dan maksud tersendiri, yakni mengharapkan setiap anak perempuan yang dikhitan menjadi perempuan yang taat beragama, bermanfaat bagi kehidupan keluarga, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Selain itu, mereka diharapkan berjiwa pemimpin yang bertanggung jawab dan dapat dipercaya. Peran perempuan sebagai seorang pemimpin dan bagaimana berperilaku dalam memimpin tercermin dalam tata cara adat khitan perempuan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pandangan hidup masyarakat Gorontalo, adat khitan perempuan adalah suatu kewajiban karena nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya merupakan penjabaran nilai-nilai agama. Keteguhan masyarakat Gorontalo untuk selalu melestarikan adat khitan perempuan tetap terjaga, meskipun dalam pandangan sebagian ulama dan sebagian masyarakat khitan perempuan bukan merupakan perkara wajib yang harus dilakukan

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the implementation of internal policy on Civil Servant Officer work performance at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo. Internal policy is an urgent item in leading an institution because it guarrantes the individual work performance. The workers will get their good work performance since the internal policy lies on worker side. The method of this research was qualitative descriptive by using field observation and interview as data collection. The data were analyzed into three steps, namely data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The participants of this research were five administration staff, three lecturers, and five students. It used purposive sampling. The result showed that the implementation of internal policy at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo was not effective. It caused by three problems. Firstly, it is lack of evaluation during the internal policy implemented and after it was implemented. Secondly, it is lack of coordination among stakeholders and the workers (administration staff, lecturers, and the students). Thirdly, it is lack of collaboration among stakeholder and staffs.

Abstract

The increasing number of suicide cases in Gorontalo shows the emergence of mental health problems in the community. The suicide perpetrators consist of adults, parents, and some even minors. The perpetrators committed this careless act due to various cause-and-effect factors such as Lack of love for parents, romance, economic factors, and so on. In addition, the perpetrators of suicide are not only women who are known as weak people but also carried out by men. Even the level of education and career owned by the perpetrators seems to no longer be able to prevent their desire to commit suicide. This condition should require serious attention from all stakeholders, especially the provincial government and all levels of society, considering that suicides occur in almost all districts and cities in Gorontalo province. The implementation of local government policies and actions is an inseparable part of efforts to realize development programs in the health sector, especially in the field of mental health, so that mental disorders or illnesses can be immediately detected and treated to minimize suicide as a sign of mental illness that occurs in the social environment. The research method used is a qualitative method of interviewing respondents. The conclusion is that many factors cause suicide, so it is essential to get a lot of attention from various parties, especially the local government.

Abstract

Tujuan yang diharapkan dalam melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan peserta didik melalui metode PJBL (Project Based Learning) pada mata pelajaran prakarya di kelas IV SDN 15 Bolangitang Barat. Jenis penelitian yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian tindakan kelas adalah sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan dalam kelas oleh peneliti dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik melalui metode Metode Project Based Learning (PJBL) pada mata pelajaran Prakarya. Penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) ini memiliki peran yang sangat penting dan strategis dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pembelajaran apabila dilaksanakan dengan baik dan benar. Hasil belajar prakarya peserta didik mengalami peningkatan setelah melalui metode PJBL (Project Based Learning) yang dapat dilihat dari sebelum tindakan memperoleh presentase ketuntasan 25%, siklus I memperoleh presentase ketuntasan 31,25%, sampai siklus II memperoleh presentase ketuntasan 87,5%. Meningkatkan Keterampilan Peserta Didik Melalui Metode PJBL(Project Based Learning) Pada Mata Pelajaran Prakarya di kelas IV SDN 15 Bolangitang Barat. Dikatakan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan peserta didik.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of student learning activeness in PKN learning material about Myself and My Environment. This research aims to determine the increase in learning activity of class V students at SDN 81 Sipatana during PKN learning. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects in this research were class V students at SDN 81 Sipatana, the number of students for the 2023-2024 academic year was 25 students consisting of 10 boys and 15 girls. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings and 4 stages which refers to the Kemmis and Taggart model which consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of this research indicate that implementing the Snowball Throwing Model can increase student activity in class V PKN learning in KMB at SDN 81 Sipatana. Data analysis in the research used descriptive percentage formulas for teacher activity, student activity and student activity. This can be seen from the increase in each cycle, namely cycle I obtained teacher activity 71.05%, student activity 73.52% and student activity 71.42% and increased in cycle II obtained teacher activity results 92.10%, student activity 91 .17% and student activity 91.07%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that implementing the Snowball Throwing Model can increase student activity in class V PKN learning in KMB at SDN 81 Sipatana.

Abstract

This research is important because the servant leadership model is crucial in supporting accreditation and is infused with spiritual values to optimize academic services. This research applies the accreditation-based servant leadership model and spiritual values in academic services at the IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo Postgraduate program. This field research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed through data reduction and presentation to conclude. The study concludes that the servant leadership model can only support accreditation by applying spiritual values, especially Islamic ones, in academic services. Every academic service requires a strong spirit, which cannot be separated from spiritual values derived from the truth of revelation. Integrated work activities, serving as a means of communication and sharing program information and academic issues supported by academic information systems, are recognized as encouraging timely studies and academic achievements of students and lecturers. However, this will not be complete without spiritual values such as patience, gratitude, sincerity, humility (tawadhu), information and communication technology as God's gifts, and prayer.

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan dasar /SD swasta merupakan sebuah organisasi formal untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pendidikan dan pembelajaran di tingkat dasar yang melibatkan peran yayasan, guru, peserta didik, orang tua dan semua stakeholder terkait. Di dalam sebuah lembaga pendidikan dasar khususnya SD berstatus swasta tentunya sangat dipengaruhi oleh peran yayasan dalam menggerakkan semua aspek yang meliputi seluruh proses pembelajaran. Terkait dengan hal tersebut, maka seyogyanya peran yayasan yang dimotori oleh Ketua Yayasan amat dibutuhkan bukan hanya sekedar memberi dan menerima kritik dan saran dalam rangka perbaikan dan pengembangan lembaga pendidikan akan tetapi lebih daripada itu seorang Ketua Yayasan diharapkan bisa menjalankan peran kepemimpinannya dalam mengayomi, mengatur, mengarahkan dan membimbing SDM di lembaga pendidikan. Demikian pula seorang Ketua Yayasan dituntut agar dapat menjalin komunikasi dan kerjasama yang baik dengan orang tua peserta didik (komite), pemerintah dan semua komponen yang berkepentingan dalam membangun, menumbuhkembangkan dan mempertahankan kualitas pendidikan khususnya di lembaga pendidikan dasar/SD swasta.

Abstract

Munculnya berbagai aksi demonstrasi yang ditunjukkan mahasiswa dari beragam aktivitas yang dilakukan mahasiswa baik di dalam maupun di luar kampus seringkali mempertontonkan peristiwa memiriskan yang dilakukan oknum mahasiswa. Menyampaikan pendapat dan gagasan, berinteraksi dengan Civitas Akademika maupun dengan masyarakat luas yang menyimpang dari moral seringkali dipertontonkan sebagian mahasiswa sehingga mencederai peran mahasiswa sebagai kaum terpelajar. Oleh karena itu pemahaman tentang pentingnya mengelola gagasan dan pendapat, perlu dilakukan setiap mahasiswa dan handaknya mendapat dukungan sepenuhunya dari pihak lembaga tempat mahasiswa menimba ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of Tujaqi poetry in the traditional ceremony of receiving leaders or honour guests. The arrangement of words and sentences in Tujaqi is a message conveyed by traditional officials to guests or leaders. Appreciation for leaders or guests is expected that leaders and guests try to maintain behaviour from bad habits and maintain behaviour that is beneficial to other people, especially the people of Gorontalo who have been willing to welcome them kindly. This research used discourse analysis to analyse Tujaqi meaning. The procedures were collecting data, identifying unit analysis, segmenting the text, identifying language elements, analysing the meaning, and interpreting the context. The research showed that Tujaqi poetry was recited in Pohutu Motombulu, a traditional ceremony in welcoming a leader or honour guest.  Tujaqi can be interpreted as the artistic creativity of the Gorontalo people, composed in the regional language which symbolizes that the Gorontalo people are proud of their regional language, and are pleased with their own variety of literature and culture so that they are considered equal to other regions.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to find out the results of applying realia media in thematic learning to improve the learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SDN 9 Limboto. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in class 3 of SDN 9 Limboto.  The subjects in the research were 15 grade 3 students at SDN 9 Limboto, consisting of 8 boys and 7 girls. Data collection was carried out using observation, tests and documentation. The results of this research show that using realia media in thematic learning can improve student learning outcomes, observation results of student activities, and observation results of teacher activities. In the first cycle, only 5 students (33.3%) achieved the KKM score (70), while 15 students (66.6%) were below the KKM score. Cycle II showed that 9 students (60%) achieved the KKM score, the other 6 students (40%) had not yet achieved the KKM. and in cycle III, only 3 students (20%) did not reach the KKM, while the other 12 students (80%) whose scores reached the KKM. Meanwhile, for the results of the student activity observation sheet in cycle I, the results were 43.3 which was categorized as less active, then increased in cycle II was 56.6 which was quite active and in cycle III it increased with a result of 68.3 which was categorized as active. Furthermore, the results of the teacher activity observation sheet in cycle I obtained a result of 53.3 (sufficient) then it increased in cycle II with a result of 58.3 (sufficient) and in cycle III it increased with a result of 78.3 (active). Thus it can be concluded from the research results that there is an increase in results student learning. This proves that applying realia media can improve student learning outcomes and has been going well and can support increased learning outcomes.Keywords: Realia media, learning outcomes, thematic learning.Abstrak          Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan media realia dalam pembelajaran tematik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas 3 SDN 9 Limboto. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dikelas 3 SDN 9 Limboto.  Subjek  pada  penelitian  adalah  siswa  kelas  3  SDN  9  Limboto  yang berjumlah 15 siswa, terdiri dari 8 orang laki-laki dan perempuan berjumlah 7 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media realia dalam pembelajaran tematik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, hasil observasi kegiatan siswa, dan hasil observasi kegiatan guru. pada siklus I hanya 5 siswa (33,3%) yang mencapai nilai KKM (70), sedangkan 15 siswa (66.6%) dibawah nilai KKM. Siklus II menunjukan bahwa 9 siswa (60%) mencapai nilai KKM, 6 siswa (40%) lainnya belum mencapai KKM. dan siklus III hanya 3 siswa (20%) yang tidak mencapai KKM, sementara 12 siswa (80%) lainya yang nilainya mencapai KKM.Sedangkan untuk hasil lembar observasi kegiatan siswa pada siklus I memperoleh hasil 43.3 yang di kategorikan kurang aktif, kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 56.6 menjadi cukup aktif  dan pada siklus III meningkat dengan hasil 68.3 yang di kategorikan aktif. Selanjutnya untuk hasil lembar observasi kegiatan guru pada siklus I memperoleh hasil 53.3 (cukup) kemudian meningkat padas siklus II dengan hasil 58.3(cukup) dan pada siklus III meningkat dengan hasil 78.3(aktif) .Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa menerapkan media realia dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa telah berlangsung dengan baik dan dapat menunjang peningkatan hasil belajar.Kata Kunci: Media realia, Hasil Belajar,Pembelajaran tematik.
