Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the potential of handout design in class X protista high school learning material. This research was conducted at the Binawidya Riau University in August-December 2020. The design of this handout refers to the ADDIE development model, the stage used is only the analysis and design stage. The analysis stage by analyzing the curriculum, syllabus, KD, and the material in accordance with the results of the study. The design stage is designing learning tools in the form of a syllabus and lesson plans, and designing a handout consisting of a cover, foreword, contents, study instructions, (KI, KD, and IPK), introduction, elaboration of subject matter, evaluation, and reference sources. The conclusion is the biology handout design on KD 3.6 and KD 4.6 specifically for protista topic can be used as handout teaching materials for Senior High School student Grade X.Key Words: Handout, Protista

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the potential of the pocket book design of macrofungi diversity on fungi material grade X Biology learning. This research was conducted at the Bina Widya Campus, Riau University in January - April 2021. The design of this pocket book refers to the ADDIE development model, the stage used is only the analysis and design stage. The analysis stage was carried out by analyzing the 2013 curriculum and analyzing the learning material. The design stage is carried out by designing the syllabus and lesson plans first, then designing a pocket book. This type of study is qualitative descriptive and the research method used is survey method combined with the squares method. Based on the potential analysis, was found 36 species of macroscopic fungi from 21 families and 9 orders that could be used as a pocket book design for macrofungi diversity for learning media on Fungi material for high school grade X KD 3.7.Key Words: Pocket Book, Learning Media, Macrofungi

Abstract

Fish feed biotechnology is fish pellets produced through the fermentation process of mustard greens, fats, and used cooking oil from waste containing vegetable nutrients. The results of this preliminary research were developed into leaflets and booklets as teaching materials for student learning guides through the constructivism-based STEM approach. This research was conducted at SMP Purnama Pekanbaru from February to April 2020 with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental research design. The research subjects were 25 ninth-grade students who took biotechnology extracurricular activities. The data were collected using the students' creative thinking ability test sheets. Scores and mean scores of data were calculated, tabulated, and analyzed descriptively. The research objective was to analyze the effect of the constructivism-based STEM approach on students' creative thinking skills. The results showed that learning using the constructivism-based STEM approach effectively improved students' creative thinking skills in biotechnology learning in recycling waste into fish pellets.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to develop a PDEODE-WEB based Blended Learning model, and determine the quality of the developed PDEODE-WEB based Blended Learning model on digestive system material in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study employed a 4D development research (R&D) which consists of Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The results showed that the validation of material and media experts for content validation was 3 with very important categories. Analysis from a learning expert for the construction validation category obtained 4.03 with the very good category. The results of the limited trial obtained a score of 81.47 in the good category and the practicality test obtained 90.6 which could be categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test was carried out obtained the N-Gain of 0.6 with the medium category. The PDEODE-WEB Blended Learning model that was developed meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness as a solution for the development of learning in the 21st century.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce a handout design for high school biology class XII on growth and development in plants. The research was conducted at FKIP Riau University in November - January 2022. The design of this handout refers to the ADDIE design model which in this research was carried out until the development stage. At the analysis stage, an analysis of the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum was carried out and an analysis of learning materials. The design stage is done by designing learning tools and designing handouts. The design stage is done by designing a syllabus, lesson plans, and handout design consisting of cover, introduction, table of contents, study instructions, (KI, KD, and GPA), introduction, description of the main material, evaluation, and reference sources. This study aims to design biology handouts for class XII KD SMA. 3.1 and 4.1 on the material of growth and development in plants, especially the factors that affect the growth and development of chili seedlings by utilizing phosphate solubilizing bacteria.Key Words: Handout, Learning Media, Chili Seed Growth

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-module teaching materials with the Moodle application on motion system materials. This e-module with the Moodle application has several advantages, namely learning is more interesting and can be done remotely where educators can still control learning and assessment activities, there are discussion forums and quizzes and has security features limiting access rights where unregistered users cannot open e- module. This research is a type of research and development (R&D). The procedure for developing this research uses the ADDIE development model, where this development model consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation) and Evaluation (evaluation). The research instrument was a validation sheet and a respondent's questionnaire. The media validation stage involved 5 subjects (1 media expert, 1 material expert, 1 linguist, 1 pedagogic expert, and 1 teacher). Feasibility assessment by experts using validation sheets. The practical test phase involved 5 people, the simulation test involved 5 master students at the University of Riau majoring in biology and teachers and the limited trial involved 40 students. The data analysis technique is to calculate the percentage of validation assessment scores and user responses. The results showed that the Moodle- based e-module developed met the very valid criteria with an average of 3.54, the practical aspect showed very practical with an average of 94.54, and the results of the student response test obtained a score of 96.4 with a very good category good. Based on the description above, it is concluded that the Moodle-based e- module that was developed can be a source of learning/teaching materials that can be used during learning because with the Moodle-based e-module the material presented is more interesting, educators can include videos, animations, pictures and learning can also be done remotely where educators can still control and evaluate students.
