Abstract

The formulation of microcapsule of 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetate acid using biopolymer polycaprolactone as a matrix using solvent evaporation method has been carried out. The microcapsule formula was used three types with the ratio 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 between 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetate acid and polycaprolactone. Distribution particle test was used calibrated microscope. Active substance release test was detected by UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Polycaprolactone can be used as the matrix polymer for slow release preparations and influence to the release of active substance 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate acid. Result showed that recovery test of the formula-2 containing 86.5 % higher than formula-1, 84.5% and formula-3 78.2%. Model of the kinetics of the release active substance from microcapsule which correlation coefficient close to one is formula-1 which follow zero order kinetics.

Abstract

Research on the effect of carrot juice (Daucus carota, Linn) on blood glucose levels of female white mice have been  done. These experiments use advantage glucose meter (Roche) to measure the glucose blood level  with the enzymatic method. The treatment carried out for 21 days with observation time at day 7, 14 and 21. carrot juice given Doses is 0.52; 1.04, and 2.08 g/20g bw. The results showed that administration of carrot juice at all dose groups can lower blood glucose levels of mice was significantly (P, 0.05) After giving 3 mg/20 g bw alloxan and glucose 195 mg/20 g bw.

Abstract

Effect of antiinflamantory extract ginger rhizome ethanol has been observed on white male mice. Extract is given buccally with dose 30, 100, 300 mg/kg BB, while preparation is becoming with dose 360 mg/kg BB. Parameter antiinflamantory observed with calculating ability of extract and preparation thus ginger lessens or depress degree of oedema during certain. Level of oedema volume happened is measured by means of pletisnometer. The result of research indicates that ginger ethanol extract at dose 30, 100, 300 mg/kg BB and preparation thus ginger with dose 360 mg/kg BB gives effect antiinflamantory. Highest effect given by ginger extract with dose 300 mg/kg BB with inhibition percentage happened at to 6 at day ke-10 that is 84%. And result of statistician examination in analysis variansi ( ANOVA) to oedema volume after giving of ethanol extract and preparation became ginger to give effect antiinflamantory which real is different if it is compared to control.

Abstract

The study of vitamin C than ripe fruit cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) family solanaceae. Isolation of vitamin C with maceration method using ethanol 70% and performed three repetitions with the same solvent. Purification of vitamin C using semi-polar solvent is chloroform (CHCl3) pro analysis and obtained crystalline vitamin C (202 mg). Crystals obtained qualitative and quantitative testing. Testing quantitative with HPLC method. The study as a comparison of vitamin C using of products from Shadhong Bio Technology in the batch number 371-22109. HPLC data turns cayenne pepper ripe fruit contains vitamin C 0.1180% ± 0.0107 with a retention time of 2.557 and an area of 215843.

Abstract

Secang (Caesalpinia sappan L.) secara tradisional digunakan untuk mengobati berbagai penyakit. Secang mengandung senyawa fenolik seperti asam gallat, brazilin dan brazilein. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkarakterisasi simplisia dan ekstrak etanol secang, mengevaluasi kandungan fenolik total dan menentukan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol secang. Karakterisasi simplisia secang diperoleh susut pengeringan sebesar 10,349 %, kadar sari larut air sebesar 3,293 %, kadar sari larut etanol sebesar 6,026 %, kadar abu total sebesar 0,6509 % dan kadar abu tidak larut asam simplisia adalah sebesar 0,480 %. Karakterisasi ekstrak etanol secang diperoleh kadar abu total sebesar 1,26 %, kadar abu tidak larut asam ekstrak sebesar 0,059 %, kadar air ekstrak didapatkan hasil 8,63 %. Kadar fenolik total ekstrak etanol secang adalah 71,144 g/100g. Semakin tinggi kadar fenolik total, maka semakin tinggi pula aktivitas antioksidannya. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol secang ditentukan dengan metode FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power) dan hasilnya adalah 13,99 mmol Fe(II)/100g.

Abstract

Essential oils of the patchouli leaves (Pogostemon cablin, Benth) was known has the antibacterial effect and could be used to treat the burn. Aim of this study is to formulate patchouli oil into gel dosage form. Patchouli oil was used at three concentrations i.e. 2% (F1), 4% (F2) and 6% (F3). Evaluation of the resulting formulas includes examining its general appearance, homogeneity, skin irritation test, pH and spreadability test. Based on the evaluation data, it was found that gel with 2% patchouli oil was transparent. The greater the concentration of patchouli oil, the more opaque the gel is produced. The other parameters give results that are not different for the three formulas.

Abstract

Lawsonia inermis Linn is the plants into the Lythraceae family. This plant has proven to be able to treat a variety of diseases. This research were aimed to identify the characterization of ethanol extracts and simplicia of  henna leaves, determine the total phenolic content with Folin-Ciocalteau method and antioxidant activity with Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP). The extraction was performed using 70 % ethanol. Characterization of simplicia was a powder, greenish brown color, bitter tasted and a distinctive odor. The loss of drying simplisia was 4.92 % ± 0.16, total ash was 4.61 % ± 0.02, acid insoluble ash was 4.43 % ± 0.14, water soluble concentration was 3.30 % ± 0.06, and ethanol soluble concentration was 25.46 % ± 0.18. Characterization of ethanol extracts was viscous, brown in color, typical odor and bitter tasted. The water content of ethanol extracts was 9.98 % ± 2.00, total ash content was 2.63 % ± 0.91, and non acid soluble ash content was 0.36 % ± 0.11. The results of the determination of the total phenolics of ethanol extracts was 16.02 g/100 g. And antioxidant activity of ethanol extract was 2.85 mmol Fe (II)/100 g

Abstract

The determination of profenofos pesticidal residue in the lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) by using gas chromatography using flame photometric detector (FPD) had been investigated. The lettuce was collected from Padang Luar area, Agam distric, West Sumatera. Sample for determination of profenofos residue divided into three groups: unwashed (A), washed with water (B), and washed with detergent (C). Maceration with sonication was used for the extraction using ethylacetateas a solvent. The results showed that profenofos pesticide residue in sample A, B and C were 0.204, 0.080 and 0.061 ppm, respectively. These profenofos pesticidal residue are over than the Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) that established by The Japan Food Chemical Research Foundation (0.05 ppm) even though World Health Organization (WHO) has not established Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) profenofos on lettuce. Based on the statistical analysis one-way method (Anova) using SPSS 20.0 showed that there was a significant concentrations difference between lettuce A from lettuce B and lettuce C with p < 0.05.

Abstract

Manajemen kontroling adalah proses untuk mengamati secara terus menerus pelaksanaan kegiatan sesuai dengan rencana kerja yang sudah disusun dan mengadakan koreksi jika terjadi. Motivasi adalah dorongan individu untuk melakukan tindakan karena mereka ingin melakukannya. Dokumentasi keperawatan mempunyai porsi yang besar dari catatan klinis klien yang menginformasiakn faktor tertentu atau situasi yang terjadi selama asuhan dilaksanakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan manajemen kontroling kepala ruangan dengan motivasi dan kelengkapan pendokumentasian oleh perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Mayjend H.A Thalib Kerinci. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif korelasi dengan desain Cross Sectional. Penelitian dilakukan diruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Mayjend H.A Thalib Kerinci Tahun 2014 melalui kuesioner dan observasi dilakukan pada bulan Juni. Sampel diambil secara total sampling dengan jumlah 52 orang. Hasil penelitian manajemen kontroling kepala ruangan dilakukan dengan baik sebesar 76,9%, motivasi perawat tinggi sebanyak 73,1% dan pendokumentasian dilakukan lengkap sebanyak 46,2%. Hasil uji statistik  chi-square menunjukan ada hubungan yang bermakna manajemen kontroling kepala ruangan dengan motivasi perawat diperoleh nilai p=0,010 dan hubungan manajemen kontroling kepala ruangan dengan kelengkapan pendokumentasian juga bermakna dimana nilai p=0,045. Disarankan agar rumah sakit meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan dengan memberikan pelatihan, peningkatan jenjang pendidikan, memberikan penghargaan, memberlakukan system jenjang karir dan melakukan evaluasi kepada seluruh perawat untuk meningkatkan motivasi perawat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTGandasuli rhizome (Hedycium coronarium, J. Koening.) Is one of Indonesia's native plants that has been used as medicine by various generations of people from generation to generation. This study aims to obtain information about the effect of giving gandasuli rhizome ethanol extract on increased analgesic activity. This research is a purely experimental research using test animals male white mice (Mus muculus) as the object of the experiment. A was used as many as 25 mice for analgesic activity. The ethanol extract used is an extract that has been standardized, by testing specific and non-specific parameters. To test the analgesic activity, the dosage variants of 200 mg / KgBB, 400 mg / KgBB and 600 mg / KgBB were used by observing the response time of the test animals to the heat from the hot plate, by entering the observations into the analgesic activity equation, from this study the results of analgesic activity were obtained. at a dose of 600 mg / KgBW with a value of 79.62% ± 1.68% at 90 minutes. Comparison of analgesic activity data between dose variants and the response of test animals after analysis with the two-way ANOVA statistical test obtained P results (<0.05) which proved that giving gandasuli rhizome ethanol extract (Hedycium coronarium, J. Koening.) In several dose variants had an effect. in real terms in the response of mice to pain (analgesic activity).Keywords : Gandasuli rhizome extract, hot plate, white mice, analgesic activity ABSTRAKRimpang Gandasuli (Hedycium coronarium, J.Koening.) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan asli indonesia yang telah digunakan sebagai obat  oleh berbagai generasi masyarakat secara turun temurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang efek pemberian ekstrak etanol rimpang gandasuli terhadap peningkatan aktifitas analgetik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental murni dengan menggunakan hewan uji mencit putih jantan (Mus muculus) sebagai objek eskperimen. Dimana 25 ekor mencit putih digunakan untuk pengujian aktivitas analgetik. Ekstrak etanol yang digunakan merupakan ekstrak yang telah terstandarisasi, dengan melalui uji parameter spesifik dan non spesifik. Untuk pengujian aktivitas analgetik digunakan varian dosis 200 mg/KgBB, 400 mg/KgBB dan 600mg/KgBB dengan cara mengamati waktu respon hewan uji terhadap rasa panas dari hot plat, dengan memasukkan hasil pengamatan kedalam persamaan aktivitas analgetik, dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil aktivitas analgetik pada dosis 600 mg/KgBB dengan nilai 79,62 % ± 1,68 % pada menit ke 90. Perbandingan data aktivitas analgetik antara varian dosis dengan respon hewan uji setelah dianalisis dengan Uji statistik Anova dua arah didapatkan hasil P(<0,05) yang membuktikan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol rimpang gandasuli (Hedycium coronarium, J.Koening.)  pada beberapa varian dosis berpengaruh secara nyata pada Respon Mencit terhadap rasa sakit (Aktivitas analgetik).Kata kunci :Ekstrak rimpang gandasuli, hot plate, mencit putih,aktivitas analgetik
