Abstract

This research serves the purpose to analyze the characteristics profile of rice farmers using subsidized fertilizer with cluster and biplot analysis. By knowing the cluster characteristics we hope it can simplify in deciding subsidized fertilizer implementation policy in the effort of raising production value and farmer’s income. The sampling method used is purposive sampling where respondents is chosen by the researcher’s consideration which is rice farmer’s that have received subsidized fertilizers taken in seven Regency in Riau Province.  Data analysis method used is cluster analysis and biplot analysis.  The results of Rice Farmer’s Characteristic Profile Research of Riau Province can be grouped into 3 groups, the first group consists of Rokan Hulu, Kampar and Indragiri Hulu, the second group is Rokan Hikir Regency and the third group are Siak, Kuantan Singingi and Indragiri Hilir. Furthermore Based on Characteristics of implementation of subsidized fertilizers policy, gained by 4 groups that formed, first group, consists of Rokan Hulu, Rokan Hilir, Indragiri Hilir. The second group only consists of Kampar Regency, the third group consists of Indragiri Hulu and Siak, and the fourth group only consists of Kuantan Singingi Regency. Kuantan Singingi Regency is the most succesful in implementing subsidized fertilizers policy of Riau Province, for rice farmers. This research indicates exactly total amount, price, variety and time in this regency. Keywords : Biplot analysis, cluster, characteristic,subsidized fertilizers

Abstract

Abstrak Teknik budidaya konvensional dengan menggunakan media tanam tanah menimbulkan masalah.  Masalah yang dihadapi adalah ketersediaan tanah untuk proses budidaya sulit didapat, dan harganya mahal.  Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lancang Kuning (Faperta UNILAK)  memperkenalkan Sistem budidaya hidroponik, dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan yang harganya lebih murah. Kelompok mitra pada umumnya lebih menggemari budidaya dengan menggunakan air sebagai media tanam dibandingkan dengan media tanah, karena lebih bersih, dan bisa dijadikan pajangan yang bernilai estetika lebih tinggi.  Tujuan kegiatan IbM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra dalam melakukan budidaya sayur dengan sistem hidroponik.  Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan adalah dengan cara: 1) penyuluhan. 2) demontrasi.  3) bantuan paket teknologi, dan 4) pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan peserta tentang budidaya hidroponik meningkat setelah mengikuti kegiatan P2M ini.  Peningkatan pengetahuan ini disebabkan adanya demonstrasi, dan peserta dibekali alat dan bahan untuk mempraktekan sendiri. Sehingga minat untuk melakukan budidaya hidroponik peserta juga meningkat. Kata Kunci: Hidroponik, Budidaya, dan Air. Abstract Conventional cultivation techniques by using a planting medium ground pose a problem. The problem faced is the availability of land for cultivation process is hard to come by, and expensive. The community service team from Faperta UNILAK introduce hydroponic cultivation system, by utilizing materials that are cheaper. Partner groups are generally more fond of cultivation by using water as a growing medium compared to medium soil, because it is free, and can be used as a display estetique higher. The objective of community service activity is to increase the knowledge partner in doing vegetable farming with hydroponics system. The method used to achieve the objectives are to: 1) extension. 2) demonstration. 3) aid package technology, and 4) assistance. The results concluded that the activities of the participants' knowledge about hydroponic cultivation increased after following this P2M activity. Increased knowledge is due to the demonstrations, and participants were given tools and materials for the practice itself. So the interest to do hydroponic cultivation of participants also increased.  Keywords: Hydroponics, cultivation, and Water.

Abstract

Pineapple (Ananas comosus L) is a fruit crop coming from Brazil. Besides pineapple can be eaten directly can be further processed into chips pineapple, pineapple dodol, jam, syrup and others. In the village there Nenas Kualu agro-industrial raw material, namely pineapple pineapple chips, diamonds pineapple and pineapple dodol. Pineapple chips are most widely refined products developed by craftsmen in the village Kualu pineapple processing pineapple. Processing of agricultural or agro-industry is a subsystem of agribusiness very big role in increasing the added value of agricultural products. Employers will also seek to do business with a decent order to obtain the maximum revenue to improve their welfare. In connection with this condition, this study aims to conduct feasibility analysis, Break Even Point (BEP), and the added value that can be produced by the pineapple industry. The results showed that the Agro-Industry Pineapple "Thanks to the Joint Enterprises in May 2016 to produce pineapple chips of 651 Kg. With a production cost of Rp. A sum of 45,475,122, - and the revenue generated Rp. 13,114,878, -. Results BEP analysis shows that this business in the breaks even when producing pineapple chips 60 kg with admission of Rp. 5,371,598, -. If the expected profit of Rp. 20.000.000, -, sales of chips should reach 902 Kg. the added value generated by effort "Berkat Bersama" is Rp. 872, - /kg of fresh pineapple.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is the main pillar of economic development in Indonesia because Indonesia almost all economic activities centered on the sector. Processing of agricultural or agro-industry is the agricultural product processing business for the purpose of increasing the value of the product. Pekanbaru city produces one of the agricultural products that manioc. The highest production of cassava in Sub Tenayan Raya in Pekanbaru, namely 11 210 tonnes (Pekanbaru in number 2015). In connection with this condition, this study aims to analyze costs and revenues, Break Even Point (BEP), profit planning as well as the added value generated by the agro-industry critic's capable of cassava in Kulim Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru. It can be concluded:1.The cost of agro-industrial production processes cassava chips "SUGENG SNACK" In December 2016 flavors Balado is Rp. 40,822,557.40, original flavors Rp. 40,822,557.40 and chilli chips (Sanjai) Rp. 22,777,250.00. Net revenue cassava chips flavors Balado is Rp. 12,681,442.60, or Rp. 5,214 / Kg; Rp original flavors. 11,565,426.00 or USD. 6763 / Kg; and crispy chilli (Sanjai) Rp. 5,613,570.00. or Rp.6577,-/Kg2.Value BEP (Q) agroindustrial cassava chips "SUGENG SNACK" In December 2016 flavors Balado is 145.88 kg, 85.26 Kg variants of the original flavor and crispy chilli (Sanjai) 48,45Kg. Total sales to achieve profit Rp.20.000.000, - for each variant flavors, flavors Kg Balado is 3751.34, 2894.91 Kg variants of the original flavor, and crispy chilli (Sanjai) 2922.03 Kg.3.Value-added agro-industry cassava chips "SUGENG SNACK" In December 2016, flavors Balado is the output value of Rp. 8360, - provide added value for Rp.5.757, - or by 68.86%, flavors original output value of Rp. 8360, - provide added value amounting to Rp. 5627, - or by 67.3%., And crispy chilli (Sanjai) output value amounted to Rp.12.768, - provide added value amounting to Rp. 9675, - or a total of 75.776%.

Abstract

The slow growth in harvested area and production of food crops ( rice, corn and soybeans ) have an impact on the occurrence of lack of food supply , especially rice . This deficiency is imported from outside the region which will also affect the economy's income Riau province mainly of income from the agricultural sector . This article examines the growth of food crops and its contribution to the economy in the province of Riau The analytical method used is descriptive and quantitative approach to literature reviews, and search was secondary data .The results show that the GDP growth and the contribution of the food crops sub-sector is still small relative to the economy of the province of Riau . to maintain the availability of foodstuffs , especially rice governments should make efforts to increase the area of land and increased productivity

Abstract

Riau Province makes sago (Metroxylon sp) one of the alternative sources of gluten-free food. Sago has been processed into food ingredients ranging from traditional with local wisdom approaches to modern. The processing of sago was recorded to produce hundreds of food menu creations. However, from various kinds of processed foods made from sago, this is still constrained by the low level of consumption of sago-based foods. It is presumably because the community still has many food sources as a substitute for rice, such as cassava, corn, and others. If viewed from the potential of raw materials for sago owned by Riau Province, sago can be the primary source of food diversification, one of the steps to reduce dependence on the primary carbohydrate source obtained from rice. Therefore, analysis is needed to determine what factors influence a consumer's decision to consume food products made from sago. The method used in this study was a survey method by accidental random sampling. The research model used was a logistic regression model. The survey location was performed in Pekanbaru as the capital city of Riau Province. Testing on the significance of the model was carried out using the Likelihood Ratio Test and the Wald Test. The results showed that the processed sago that consumers often consume was sago noodles (54%). As a local food, the sago was determined mainly by the processed and the price of sago. Therefore, to maintain the sustainability of sago, the government needs to play a role.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menemukan Sumber pendapatan petani saat  kelapa sawit replanting dengan memelihara ternak sapi   agar rumahtangga petani  masih memperoleh sumber pendapatan selama masa kelapa sawit replanting. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survey,pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling yang dijadikan sampel adalah petani yang memelihara ternak sapi saat kelapa sawit replanting. Data yang diperlukan dengan  mengunakan dataprimer dan sekunder untuk memperoleh pandapatan  usaha ternak sapi. Data primer diperoleh langsung dari petani dan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi dan dinas terkait dengan penelitian ini. Analisa data dilakukan dengan menghitung pendapatan dan BCR. Hasil peneitian diperoleh pendapatan dari ternak sapi sebesar Rp. 4.122.245,-/bulan dengan BCR sebesar 1,3. Dari hasil penelitian ini usaha ternak sapi saat kelapa sawit replanting layak untuk dilakukan karena BCR yang diperoleh lebih besar dari satu.
