Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Pembauran Medan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sekolah Pembauran Medan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedang kredibilitas data diperoleh lewat triangulasi metode. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri dengan menggunakan bantuan pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif versi Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di Sekolah Pembauran Medan merupakan nama yang digunakan untuk menyebut sekolah di bawah Yayasan Perguruan Sultan Iskandar Muda menggunakan Whole School Approach yang meliputi visi dan kebijakan sekolah, kepemimpinan dan manajemen, kapasitas dan kultur, aktivitas peserta didik, kolaborasi dengan masyarakat luas, serta kurikulum dan pengajaran. Kata Kunci: Sekolah Pembauran, pendidikan multikultural, whole school approach AMULTICULTURAL EDUCATION MODEL IN SEKOLAH PEMBAURAN MEDAN Abstract: This study was aimed to describe a model of the multicultural education implemented in Sekolah Pembauran Medan, North Sumatra. This study employed the qualitative approach using the case study approach. The study was conducted in Sekolah Pembauran Medan. The data collection techniques consisted of observations, interviews and documentation. The main research instrument was the researchers themselves supported by observation sheets and interview guidelines. The data analysis was performed using the interactive analysis developed by Miles and Huberman. The research findings showed that Sekolah Pembauran Medan is the name used to refer to the school under the Education Foundation of Sultan Iskandar Muda using the Whole School Approach which includes: the vision and policies of the school; leadership and management; capacity and culture; activities of learners; collaboration with wider communities; and curriculum and instruction. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan teknik seven jumps terhadap kemandirian belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran Geografi di Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksplanasi hubungan asosiatif kausal antarvariabel. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri atas 60 mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi yang mengambil mata kuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran Geografi pada tahun 2012. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dianalisis secara bivariat.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pembelajaran metode tutorial teknik seven jumps dengan kemandirian belajar mahasiswayang ditunjukkanolehnilai  hitung sebesar 0,511dengan p = 0,000 α0,05). Kata Kunci: kemandirian belajar, seven jumps, geografi USING THE SEVEN-JUMP TECHNIQUE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LEARNING AUTONOMY Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the use of the seven-jump learning technique on students’ learning autonomy in the Geography Instructional Planning course. This study was an explanation research applying the causal associative correlation. The subjects were 60 students at the Geography study program taking the Geography Instructional Planning class in 2012. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using bivariate statistics.The main finding was that there was a significant relationship between the seven-jump technique and students’ learning autonomy with an observed  of 0.511 at the significance level of (p) = 0.000 α = 0,05. Abstract

Abstract: An Evaluation of the Implementation of the SBC in Geography Instruction in SHSs in Yogyakarta City. This study aims to describe the imple- mentation of the School Based Curriculum (SBC) in geography instruction in senior high schools (SHSs) in Yogyakarta City in terms of teachers’ dimension, consisting of instructional programs, instructional steps, and learning outcome assessment. It was an evaluation study employing a model by Stake by comparing the instructtional processes conducted by teachers with the appropriate criteria. The population comprised 56 geography teachers in 11 state SHSs and 41 private SHSs in Yogyakarta City. The sample was 30% of the total schools selected by the school category (upper, middle, and lower) based on the results of the national assessment in geography in 2008. The data were collected through a questionnaire, observations, and documents and were analyzed using the qualitative descriptive technique. The findings show that the instructional programs, instructional steps, learning outcome assessment are in the good category.
