Abstract

Manual Material Handling (MMH) merupakan kegiatan pengangkatan material yang dilakukan secara manual. MMH memiliki fleksibilitas yang tinggi dalam penanganan beban – beban ringan bila dibandingkan dengan penanganan material menggunakan alat. Namun, MMH teridentifikasi dapat menimbulkan cedera pada otot rangka (musculoskeletal disorders). Untuk meminimalisasi terjadinya cedera pada otot rangka, National Institut of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)merekomendasikan sebuah persamaan pembebanan yaitu Recommended Weight Limit (MAWL). Persamaan ini dibuat berdasarkan data pekerja wanita Amerika sehingga dalam penggunaannya di Indonesia, perlu diadakan penyesuaian karena terdapat perbedaan antropometri antara orang Indonesia dengan orang Amerika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan batas beban maksimum berdasarkan antropometri pekerja wanita Indonesia. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menentukan batas beban maksimum dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan biomekanik dengan menggunakan data MAWL penelitian sebelumnya yang menggunakan pendekatan psikofisik dan fisiologi. Secara biomekanikMAWL yang menggunakan MAWL psikofisik merupakan MAWL yang direkomendasikan karena memiliki nilai tekan (fc) tertinngi 2723 N nilai ini lebih rendah dari fc rekomendasi NIOSH yaitu 3400 N. Sedangkan MAWL yang menggunakan data fisiologi untuk jumlah angkatan tertentu tidak direkomendasikan karena menghasilkan nilai fc lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai fc rekomendasi NIOSH.

Abstract

Manual Material Handling (MMH) is a material removal activitiey that performed manually. MMH has a high flexibility in handling the load - a light load if compared by using material handling equipment. However, MMH can cause injury identified in skeletal muscle (musculoskeletal disorders). To minimize the occurrence of injury in skeletal muscle, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recommends the imposition of an equation that is the Recommended Weight Limit. This equation is based on the data taken from American women workers in its use in Indonesia, the adjustment shall be made as there are differences in anthropometry, psychophysical and physiological differences between Indonesian and American. The purpose of this study was to determine the maximum load limit based on the anthropometry of Indonesian women workers. The approach used to determine the maximum load limits in this study is the physiological approach. Physiologically energy consumption based on the heart rate produced higher 56% -70% when compared to energy consumption based on NIOSH recommendations. This is because of the differences in anthropometric and age.

Abstract

Namrole sub-district, South Buru regency, is one of the sub-districts in Maluku province where the majority of the people have a livelihood as fishermen. The process of fishing is done by diving using a compressor at depths exceeding 10 meters. This causes various complaints such as headaches, spasms and hearing disorder. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with a hearing disorder in traditional fishermen. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. Statistical test results using the chi-square test showed that the depth of diving has a significant correlation with a hearing disorder with a value of ? = 0.01, while the period of work, duration of work, and frequency of diving do not correlate with the hearing disorder in traditional fishermen in Namrole district, South Buru Regency.

Abstract

The Independent Learning Campus Independent Program (MBKM) at Darussalam University Ambon is currently only run by two faculties, namely the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. This is due to the low level of knowledge and the lack of availability of policies, as well as facilities and infrastructure to support MBKM. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge, readiness and effectiveness of the implementation of MBKM at Darussalam University Ambon by using a mix method consisting of survey methods and Focuss Group Discussions. The results of the survey research indicate that the level of knowledge of lecturers, education staff, students, and heads of study programs is in the good category, while the level of readiness and effectiveness is low. The survey results were further discussed in a focus group discussion by presenting external and internal speakers and attended by students, lecturers, education staff and leadership elements from study programs, faculties, and universities. The results of the FGD were in the form of recommendations containing: Adjustment of the STATUTA of Darussalam University Ambon, Adjustment of the Academic Regulations of Darussalam University of Ambon, Preparation of Quality Standards Related to MBKM, Preparation of guidelines for the MBKM Program of Darussalam Ambon University, and Provision of instruments for implementing and evaluating the MBKM program for each MBKM activity

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis risiko kecelakaan pada pengerjaan proyek konstruksi drainase di CV. Irama Pratama dengan maksud mengurangi tingkat risiko kecelakaan yang terjadi. Keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja adalah kewajiban yang telah diamanatkan dalan Undang-Undang Keteranagkerjaan dan Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja, sehingga risiko kecelakaan yang terjadi bisa ditekan. Dalam pelaksaan proyek CV. Irama Pratama telah menerapkan Sistem K3 dengan baik, namun kecalakaan seringkali akibat dari kelalaian pekerja sendiri. Sehingga diperlukan pendekatan yang tepat untuk mengetahui risiko kecelakaan. Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) adalah metode yang bisa diterapkan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis risiko kecelakaan kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko tertinggi terjadi pada pekerjaan awal pada kegiatan A1, A2, A4, B1, B2 dengan tingkat bahaya 10-14, sedangkan pada pekerjaan konstruksi pada kegiatan A3, A7, B5, B6, B7, B9, B10, dan pada Pekerjaan akhir pada kegiatan C11 termasuk dalam kategori risiko sedang dengan tingkat bahaya 5 - 9. Sehingga rekomendasi perbaikan lebih difokuskan pada kondisi risiko tinggi.

Abstract

Nelayan tradisional negeri Assilulu sering mengalami pasang surut dalam meningkatkan omset pendapatan, salah satu faktor penyebab dari permasalahan ini adalah proses awal dan akhir dari penangkapan yang masih sangat tradisional terutama pada proses penentuan lokasi tangkap dan proses pencarian keberadaan bubu. Untuk menjawab permasalahan ini maka dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini akan dibantu dalam pengadaan alat bantu deteksi ikan fish finder. Sebelum proses penyerahan alat bantu, Tim pengabdian akan melakukan pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi dari kegiatan. Hasil pelatihan dan pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sangat antusias dalam mengikuti proses pelatihan hingga pendampingan. Dari hasil uji coba proses tracking dilihat pada tingkat produktivitas proses waktu pencarian mengehmat waktu rata-rata 60% -70% sedangkan hasil tracking penentuan lokasi tangkap yang berdampak pada peningkatan hasil tangkap sebesar 39,47%

Abstract

The process of curing fish in Pakarena Hamlet is done simply by using a smoking house with a shelf made of bamboo. The condition of the fumigation house, which is not ergonomic, causes the temperature of the work environment to be very hot and smoky. The smoking process, which lasts about 7 to 8 hours, makes the fish smokers sit for a long time. This condition causes many health problems, including shortness of breath, sore eyes, chest palpitations, and pain in the waist. In addition to health problems, other problems encountered in this business are their low knowledge and skills in managing the business, especially in the aspects of production, marketing, and financial management. The purpose of this community service is to improve the knowledge and health of the mothers of the fish smoking group related to the work environment and ergonomic work attitudes, financial and marketing management, as well as the manufacture of ergonomic smoking houses. The methods used are counseling and making an ergonomic smoking house. The results of the service show an increase in knowledge related to ergonomics and work attitudes as well as marketing strategies and financial management. The fumigation house that is made has a larger and higher capacity, is equipped with adequate air ventilation, and is made of permanent walls so that it can avoid the accumulation of hot smoke and reduce the environmental temperature so as to reduce complaints and shortness of breath.
