Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif ini difokuskan pada tiga permasalahan hal yaitu pertama penelitian flora yang terdapat di kampus Universitas La Trobe dan di lingkungan SMU wilayah Bendigo, Melbourne Utara. Kedua jenis-jenis tumbuhan apa saja yang sudah dikembangkan/diteliti universitas tersebut untuk kepentingan industri dan bisnis. Ketiga mengobservasi upaya-upaya mereka dalam melestarikan flora asli Australia melalui pendidikan. Landasan teoritik yang berkaitan dengan masalah ini adalah hubungan antara klimatologi dengan flora yang terdapat di daerah sub tropis. Faktor-faktor klimatologi ini adalah: Suhu, kelembaban, cahaya dsb., yang berbeda dengan daerah tropis, demikian halnya dengan floranya. Hasil pengamatan (observasi) di universitas ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi oendidikan untuk memanfaatkan flora untuk industri dan oengelolaan lingkungan: oelestarian flora, fauna, konservasi air dan tanah sudah diwujudkan baik dalam teori maupun praktek. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan metode dan pendekatan: tanya jawab, diskusi dan mengamati langsung flora yang terdapat di lingkungan universitas dan sekolah, serta pemanfaatannya. Kesimpulan: pertama, flora di daerah ini menunjukkan variasinya sedikit, namun jumlahnya besar (a.l. Eycalyptus sp.). Pemanfaatan flora yang terdapat di lingkungan kampus untuk keperluan industri dan farmasi, dilakukan melalui Riset dan Pengembangan (Research and Development) secara teratur dan terus menerus. Hal yang sama pada pelestarian flora dengan malalui implementasi pendidikan. Rekomendasi: Variasi flora di suatu wilayah local, regional, nasional dan internasional seyogyanya dipelajari dengan baik dan dicari guna manfaatnya dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan penduduk serta berupaya melestarikannya untuk generasi yang akan dating, yang dilakukan melalui pendidikan di sekolah dan universitas.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji profil keterampilan esensial dan kompetensi motorik lab mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Kenyataan data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi keterampilan esensial lab mahasiswa masih rendah. Keterampilan esensial lab juga belum sepenuhnya diajarkan secara optimal dalam praktikum ekologi. Rata-rata tingkat penguasaan keterampilan esensial lab mahasiswa 35,50%, sedangkan kompetensi motorik lab-nya sebesar 59,6%.   The purpose of this study was to examine the profile of skills and competencies essential motor prospective teachers of biology lab students. Simple random sample is taken. The fact the data showed that the essential skills lab competency of students is still low. Essential skills lab is also not fully taught in the lab optimally ecology. The average level of student mastery of essential skills lab 35.50%, while the motor competence of his lab at 59.6%.

Abstract

The degradation of plant and animal of Indonesia was high, approximately 30-40 percent (2011). The growth of Indonesian population and industry was highest, especially on Java island and the significance effect to degrade of plant and animal. The Indonesian environments have many types of niche or habitat of plant and animal as ecosystem and the Indonesian peoples have many ethnics and the local culture, especially the local culture to environment. The attitude of the people to the environment or ecosystem to be able positive or negative action. The positive action as a value for the ecosystem and human being. The description of research using the qualitative research. the place of research on Kampung Naga, Tasikmalaya, West Java, Province and Banda Aceh, Province Aceh Darussalam, 2011/2012. The outcome of research was implemented to the university on the subject matter of Biology Conservation and got positive response by student. The outcome of the research on Kampung Naga were invented i.e. the conservation plant and animal on Ciwulan river; the conservation of plant, especially endemic plants and the animals of the environment; the traditional of family planning; the reserve rice and the other food. The outcome of the research of Aceh province i.e. the conservation method of forest; the method of honey take; the traditional method of rice field. The conclusion of the research i.e. the traditional wisdom on Nusantara as the alternative of method of conservation and to the equilibrium of nature.  Keywords: conservation method of forest, local culture, qualitative research, traditional family planning, traditional wisdom

Abstract

Eksploitasi lingkungan hidup merupakan bentuk kekerasan terhadap alam semesta yang berkontribusi pada fenomena ekologis yang terjadi dewasa ini secara lokal dan global. Kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi merupakan isu ?sekuler? dan isu ?religius? atau ?teologis? terintegrasi yang memerlukan perspektif ecotheology dan ecopedagogy dalam mitigasinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan sikap etis-teologis mahasiwa terhadap berbagai fenomena ekologis seperti pemanasan global, deforestasi, dan penggunaan sumber-sumber energi yang dieksplorasi melalui angket sebagai instrumen penelitian. Dengan sampel berjumlah 60 orang mahasiswa dengan latar belakang agama yang berbeda, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase rata-rata sikap mahasiswa adalah 61,2% dengan kategori kurang. Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata sikap mahasiswa terhadap fenomena lingkungan berdasarkan agama. Disimpulkan bahwa latar belakang agama tidak berkontribusi membentuk sikap mahasiswa terhadap fenomena ekologis. Untuk meningkatkan dan memperbaharui sikap mahasiwa terhadap fenomena lingkungan perlu dipertimbangkan integrasi ecotheology dan ecopedagogy untuk mengkonstruksi pemahaman konsep mahasiswa terhadap fenomena ekologi

Abstract

The lack of laboratory equipment and malfunctioning laboratories in schools makes teachers reluctant to carry out practical activities, especially on the topic of environmental change. This study aims to produce an effective practicum activities in accordance with the demands of the curriculum in the elementary school of high school students on the material of global warming. The method if used in this research is descriptive research method. To test the effectiveness of practicum activities developed used a class experiment in class X in a high school by using pretest and posttest. This research uses Thiagarajan et al. (1974) development model that is development model (4-D) (Four-D models). This development model consists of four stages, namely definie, design, develop, without disseminate. The test instrument is a matter of multiple choice with 15 items that have been validated by the expert. The results of the validation show that the greenhouse effect modeling activity, developed in this research is feasible and effective. The effectiveness criteria of the practicum activity refers to the achievement of the average value of the students that exceeds the minimum score (75).

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the correlation between Self-Efficacy (SE), Health Awareness (KHS) and Science Learning Outcomes (HB) on environmental pollution subject in Junior High School. Subjects in this study were 7th grade junior high school students in Bandung Regency which is located near to the market and the railway stationenvironment. The research method has been used was quasi-experimental. The research design has been used was The Matching -Posttest Only - Control Group Design. Experimental class received the treatment, it was motivation and knowledge of healthy living, while the control group was not given. The data collection instruments has been used was three instruments, it was; 1) Self-Efficacy (SE) Instrument, 2) Health Awareness (KHS) Instrument, 3) Learning Outcomes (HB) Instrument. Results showed that the experimental class gain a higher value of self-efficacy, health awareness and learning outcomes better than the control class. Results of correlation test showed that there is a positive correlation between self-efficacy (SE) with health awareness (KHS), self-efficacy (SE) with learning outcomes (HB), and health awareness (KHS) with learning outcomes (HB). Abstract

This study aimed to develop a valid and reliable instrument to be used for measuring high school students’ attitude toward environment. A six-step model was used in the development of instrument adoption of Ugulu et al (2013). These stages are development of item pool, validation of item pool, taking expert opinions, pilot testing, administration of the instrument, and calculating validity and reliability of instrument. This instrument contains of eight dimensions, covers on attitude toward people, attitude toward flora and fauna, attitude toward earth, attitude toward water, attitude toward air, attitude toward land, and attitude toward waste. Validation stage was submitted to one environmental expert, one pedagogic expert, two high school biology teachers, and two faculty members. The pilot testing of instrument has been carried out with a group of 30 students. Widely pilot testing involves 60 students. Results of this study show that twenty five items fit to use for measuring high school students’ environmental attitude. Twenty five item consist of positive item and negative item in eight dimensions on five-point Likert type scale. The alpha Cronbach coefficient is 0,668. According to these findings, it can be concluded that instrument is a valid and reliable that can be used to measure environment attitude of high school students.Keywords:assessment, environmental attitude, senior high school student
