Abstract

High demand for sandals at UD. Darmaji. However, production cycle time is still long. This study determines the number of employees needed to meet accurate production capacity demand. The study used a quantitative approach with a motion study approach. The study population was the entire activity at UD. Darmaji. The sample was 8 activities in the sandal production process. The research instruments were observation forms and stopwatches. Data were collected through observation and time measurement. The data were analyzed using the motion study method to calculate cycle time, allowance time, performance rating, standard time, employee prediction, and cost comparison. UD. Darmaji has enough production capacity to meet demand for the next 6 months. However, the production cycle time is still long, especially in the activity of attaching the strap. To meet demand for the next 1 month, UD. Darmaji can use alternative 2 with 14 regular time employees for 9 hours per day. This alternative is cheaper and can improve efficiency and production productivity

Abstract

ABC merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi kertas termasuk di loose leaf. Departement loose leaf merupakan devisi yang memproduksi buku lepas salah satunya buku binder. Pada tempat manual finishing terdapat waste yang menyebabkan gerakan transportasi dan motion pada operator yang berakibat tidak fokus terhadap pekerjaan pokok. dengan mengetahui value stream mapping, Kuesioner Body Map, Pengukuran Antropometri, Perancangan, Pengukuran Waktu Kerja.Dari hasil pengolahan devisi loose leaf bagian manual finishing selama 7 jam kerja didapat bahwa kondisi awal melakukan pekerjaan rata-rata per orang yaitu 108,43 pack/orang sedangkan untuk hasil perbaikan sistem kerja dan usulan desain fasilitas kerja rata-rata operator yaitu 138,31 pack/orang.

Abstract

PT. Ragam Mulya Abadi, a company that produces dump truck bodies, located on Jalan Raya Menganti, Surabaya. Problems that occur in planning materials and dump truck body components are due to inappropriate production planning so that product delivery to consumers is delayed. The aproach by using Chase Strategy method used to determine production planning, then the solution is carried out using the MRP system using Lot for Lot method and it is found more economical with results of Rp. 536,550,- while with the FPR method the results obtained were Rp. 5,930,925,-. In conclusion, with the Lot for Lot method the company can save costs of Rp. 5,394,375,- compared to using FPR method. The suggestion is that companies should consider using the Lot for Lot system in procuring components for dump truck body production because it minimizes costs for the company and hoped the research results can meet future demand.

Abstract

CV PCP is a manufacturing company that manufactures road construction products. This company produces various types of road construction products, namely rectangular paving blocks, hexagonal paving blocks, 3D paving blocks, curbs, U-Ditch, and kerbstones. At CV PCP, the production planning and inventory control processes are less than optimal, resulting in overstock in the finished goods warehouse. The overstock problem causes storage to exceed warehouse capacity, products to be damaged due to excessive accumulation, and transportation access to be disrupted. This research addresses the overstock of finished goods in the warehouse caused by these factors. The Run Out Time (ROT) method determines the optimal production schedule by considering the production sequence based on the inventory depletion time. From the production planning using the Run Out Time (ROT) method, the average production result over 6 months before ROT was 156,600 pcs, and after the implementation of ROT, the result was 107,136 pcs. With the decrease in production output, the quantity of product stock also experienced a decline. The average product stock before the implementation of ROT was 386,681 pcs. After the implementation of ROT, it was 299,629 pcs, so the product stock did not exceed the maximum warehouse capacity of 345,000 pcs. Because overstock in the warehouse is minimized, the risk of product damage can also be minimized, which affects storage costs that decreased from an average of Rp. 81,216,828 before the implementation of ROT to Rp. 75,613,317 after the implementation of ROT. As a result, the company can also minimize the storage costs of finished products.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Heidelberg SM72-FP machine at CV. XYZ to identify and reduce the factors causing downtime that affect productivity. The evaluation was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and the Six Big Losses. This analysis also includes the use of Pareto and fishbone diagrams to determine repair priorities and the main causes of time loss. The research results show that the average OEE value before implementation was 73.30%, below the JIPM standard of 85%. The dominant factor causing losses is reduced speed losses (12.63%). After implementing the maintenance strategy by applying the 2 pillars of TPM focused maintenance and autonomous maintenance, the OEE value increased to 75.25%. The proposed strategy includes scheduling preventive maintenance, lubrication, routine checks, and troubleshooting for machine monitoring. With this improvement, the company's productivity showed a significant increase of 1.95%.

Abstract

CV. SG is a company engaged in the distribution of bottled cooking oil, including the Minyakita product. However, an unstructured facility layout has led to various challenges, particularly in operational efficiency and material handling costs. Inefficient placement of goods and lack of attention to material movement distances have resulted in increased operational expenses and prolonged processing times. These inefficiencies can hinder productivity and add to the workload, especially in routine material handling activities involving frequent movement of goods.To address these issues, this study focuses on redesigning the warehouse layout with the primary objective of optimizing material movement distances and reducing material handling costs. The method employed in this research is quantitative analysis, which includes calculating transfer distances, movement frequency, material handling moments, and cost estimation.The findings indicate that the initial layout incurred a total material handling cost of IDR 2,860,000 per month, with a total movement distance of 300.80 meters. After the redesign, the proposed layout successfully reduced the movement distance to 241.17 meters, leading to a decrease in material handling costs to IDR 2,761,200 per month. Thus, the implementation of the new layout has proven to be more efficient in reducing costs and enhancing the effectiveness of material movement within the warehouse. Abstract

Limbah batok kelapa banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan bakar dan keperluan rumah tangga, jika dijual harganya sangat murah. Batok kelapa yang banyak terdapat di daerah Sawahan Tuban dan sekitarnya diolah oleh UKM Emas Hitam (mitra PKM Untag Surabaya) menjadi produk bernilai tinggi, khususnya briket arang batok kelapa. Briket arang batok kelapa menghasilkan panas yang lebih baik dibandingkan bahan bakar alternatif lainnya. Briket arang batok kelapa lebih aman dan ramah lingkungan karena tidak merusak tanaman dan tidak berasap. UKM Emas Hitam menghadapi pemasalahan untuk menjual produknya yaitu produk dijual secara grosir oleh tengkulak dari Tuban dan Bojonegoro dalam jumlah terbatas, yang dikemas menggunakan kemasan karung tanpa merek. Strategi pemasaran ini membuat barang-barangnya tidak kompetitif di pasaran, sehingga harganya menjadi lebih murah. Ide untuk mengatasi permasalahan penjualan ini adalah perlunya media informasi, pemasaran, dan penjualan produk melalui Website.Melalui Website tersebut bertujuan untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar dan memfasilitasi akses pelanggan terhadap informasi produk yang lengkap. Sinergi antara branding yang kuat dan desain Wesite yang menarik akan meningkatkan kepercayaan pelanggan, sehingga memudahkan perolehan pelanggan baru. Masalah penjualan produk secara grosir tanpa merek dalam karung mengharuskan penggunaan branding dan kemasan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan daya saing pasar dan memungkinkan harga yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces various products such as PVC pipes, concrete products, and wooden furniture, including chairs. Currently, the company faces constraints in controlling raw material inventory for BR-600 Chair and Folding Chair products because it has not used scientific calculation methods in planning its needs. This causes an imbalance between the amount of inventory and production needs, which has an impact on overstock and understock. Overstock results in increased storage costs and the risk of obsolete raw materials, while understock causes production delays and potential loss of sales. This study aims to design a raw material inventory control system using a dynamic deterministic approach and determine the most optimal method. The approaches used include demand forecasting using the Single Exponential Smoothing and Moving Average methods, as well as calculating safety stock, optimal order size (lot size), and total inventory costs. Furthermore, inventory control planning is carried out using the Wagner-Whitin Algorithm and Silver-Meal Algorithm. The results of the study show that the application of the Wagner-Whitin Algorithm and Silver-Meal Algorithm methods in dynamic deterministic inventory control can reduce the total cost of raw material inventory for BR-600 Chair and Folding Chair by 5% and 3% respectively compared to the company's real method previously used by the company. Between the two, the Wagner-Whitin Algorithm method proved to be the most optimal with a total inventory cost of IDR 3,388,833,000.

Abstract

Financial distress is a stage before the company goes bankrupt. For this reason, the ability to predict financial can be useful information for companies and investors. This information is useful for companies to be able to improve their financial condition so that the company does not go bankrupt. For investors, this information is useful to avoid investor losses in capital investment. Studies on financial distress have been conducted for a long time, starting with using statistics until now being developed using artificial intelligence methods. The purpose of this study was to compare the accuracy of the financial distress prediction model for publicly traded manufacturing companies in miscellaneous industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using the data mining method, namely Support Vector Machines, which is one of artificial intelligence method and the statistical method, namely Discriminant Analysis. From the research results, the two methods provide equally good accuracy. Based on the processed data, the accuracy of the two methods is 100%.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company headquartered in Surabaya that produces plastic‑based products, particularly water storage tanks. PT BIS occasionally encounters both excess raw‑material inventory (overstock) and shortages (stockouts) of its primary tank materials namely first‑layer and second‑layer plastic pellets while in certain months the third‑layer pellets accumulate in surplus. To resolve these issues, the company applied the CRS method to optimize raw‑material inventory levels, preventing stockouts and ensuring real‑time fulfillment of product demand. Using CRS, the optimal purchase quantities were determined to be 7.002 kg for layer 1, 6.398 kg for layer 2, and 5.453 kg for layer 3, at a total cost of IDR 25.266.957 down from the previous cost of IDR 29.997.842. By incorporating safety stock and reorder‑point calculations, the CRS method prevented stockouts and reduced inventory expenses by approximately IDR 4.731.000.
