Abstract

This research used a quasi-experimental method. The research data were collected by using two types of instrument, which tests and questionnaires for data English language skills of students and data on student interest in learning. The data obtained through these tests were analyzed using T test and the data were analyzed using student interest statistical description. The results showed that the average value of the final test experimental group better is 81.32 classifications are at a very good compared to the average value of the final test in the control group were 71.18 in either classification. Application of pair-dictation and conventional methods have fundamental differences in learning outcomes. The implementation of pair-dictation can improve student` interest in learning English. Data results showed there are 14 students in student interest at the level of very interested and 5 students at the level of interest, it showed most of the students were excited to learn English through pair-dictation strategy. And to the interest of students, there was a significant relationship between English proficiency and interest of students based on student results positively linked to their interest in the experimental group

Abstract

Digital storytelling is a method that combines the art of storytelling with digital media in various forms such as videos, images, text, and so on. Digital storytelling integrates technology into the classroom to facilitate the learning process. Especially in English language learning, this method supports the improvement of students' English language skills. This study aims to identify students' perceptions of digital storytelling to improve students' speaking skills at an Indonesian Islamic college. This mixed-method study involved 30 second-semester students at Datokarama State Islamic University in Palu. Quantitative data using questionnaires were analysed based on percentages while qualitative data in the form of interviews were analysed with three stages, namely, data reduction, display, and verification. Five aspects of perception are of concern in this study, namely attitude, motivation, interest, experience, and expectations. The research results from the five aspects prove that students have a positive perception of the use of digital storytelling in improving their speaking skills. Digital storytelling makes it easier for students to understand the material well, gives them confidence in interacting and cooperating in the classroom, and creates a fun learning process.

Abstract

Artikel Pengabdian ini mengkaji tentang partisipasi Masyarakat kelurahan Tavanjuka terhadap pelaksanaan berbagai program kerja kegiatan kuliah kerja nyata Tematik (KKNT). Masalah yang diangkat dalam pengabdian ini adalah:  bagaimana partisipasi masyarakat kelurahan Tavanjuka terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan program KKNT UIN Datokarama Palu. Lokasi KKNT ini berada di kelurahan Tavanjuka, kecamatan Tatanga, kota Palu, Sulawesi Tengah. Partisipasi masyarakat merupakan suatu bentuk keikutsertaan masyarakat untuk mengalokasikan kepentingan mereka dalam proses penyusunan rencana kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan dikelurahan Tavanjuka. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan program kerja sangat berperan penting dalam keberhasilan program kerja selama berada dilokasi KKN. Partisipasi itu dapat ditunjukkan dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara langsung dalam kegiatan program kerja mahasiswa. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti tertarik mengkaji bagaimana partisipasi masyarakat dalam menyukseskan program kerja mahasiswa. Pengabdian ini bersifat deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang menggambarkan tentang keadaan berbagai fenomena yang digambarkan oleh kata atau kalimat untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan dari penelitian. Pengabdian ini akan menggambarkan keadaan bagaimana partisipasi masyarakat yang diberikan kepada pelaksanaan program kuliah kerja nyata yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa.

Abstract

The life of society in the modern era, the role of women is not only limited to being housewives, but also contributing to the family economy. Empowering housewives can improve welfare through entrepreneurship, one of which is by producing home-cooked food. In Siranindi Village, many housewives do not work and have enough free time. Crispy fried chicken entrepreneurship training aims to improve their skills in entrepreneurship and improve the family economy. The method used consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The findings show that participants are enthusiastic and able to follow each step of production well. The evaluation shows that participants' skills in making crispy fried chicken have increased after participating in entrepreneurship training. This training is expected to be a solution in empowering housewives in Siranindi Village to improve their family economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the village government in Ogobayas in empowering youth through local values-based programs in religion and sports. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Informants were selected purposively, and data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, with triangulation and member checking to ensure validity. The findings reveal that the village government effectively fosters active youth participation through inclusive forums, revitalizes local religious values as a foundation for character development, and promotes sports as a medium of social cohesion and collective identity. Supportive policies and responsive infrastructure further enhance the effectiveness of youth empowerment programs. The study reinforces theoretical frameworks of citizen participation, social theology, and social capital, while offering practical implications for inclusive and sustainable rural development policies, especially in peripheral areas with limited infrastructure but high youth potential.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya siswa yang masih kesulitan dalam menghapal namanama ALLAH dalam Asmaul husna, siswa kurang terlibat aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, dan masih rendahnya nilai rata-rata siswa dalam mengusai materi asmaul husna ini. Adapun penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada kelas IV SD Inpres Batuoge yang berjumlah 5 orang terbagi pada 3 orang laki-laki dan 2 orangperempuan. Teknik dan alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, observasi dan diskusi yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Temuan penelitian yakni pertama, penerapan metode index card match dimana siswa mencari pasangan nama Asmaul Husna dan artinya, yang kemudian mengisi LKS dan mempersentasikan temuannya ke depan kelas. Kedua, metodeindex card match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam materi asmaul Husna, hal ini dapat dilihat pada : a. Siklus I rata-rata 6,6 pada pertemuan pertama dan rata-rata 6,8 pada pertemuan kedua, kemudian dilanjutkan ke siklus II rata-rata 8,4 pada pertemuan pertama dan9,6 pada pertemuan kedua. Sehingga rata–rata semua pertemuan adalah 78,50, dengan demikian rata-rata hasil belajar persiklus terlihat kecenderungan meningkat, dimana pada siklus I ke siklus II peningkatan sebesar 2,3. b. Berdasarkan pada hasil observasi memperlihatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas siwa pada siklus I sudah mendapatkanhasil yang baik, maka siklus I adalah 93,33 pada pertemuan pertama dan 97,78 pada pertemuan kedua. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama sebesar 97,78 dan pada pertemuan kedua mencapai 100%.

Abstract

This study examines the Facilitator Strategies in the Integrated Community-Based Child Protection Program (PATBM) Against Child Abuse in Duyu Subdistrict, Tatanga District. The background of the study stems from cases of child abuse that require the active role of facilitators in prevention, handling, and recovery of victims. This research focuses on facilitator strategies for children who experience violence through the PATBM Program and identifies the programs implemented in Duyu Subdistrict. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the PATBM chairperson and facilitators, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out interactively through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, accompanied by validity checks using triangulation of sources, methods, researchers, and theories. The findings show that facilitator strategies include emotional and psychological approaches, case reporting and facilitation, coordination with traditional institutions and local government, and monitoring of areas prone to child abuse. The activities implemented include socialization, case assistance, capacity building for facilitators and PATBM members, as well as voluntary and non-formal activities. The study implies that the local government should recruit more members so that the reporting and follow-up mechanisms can function optimally.

Abstract

Authentic materials are learning materials that are not specifically created for educational purposes but are used in the real world, such as texts, audios, videos, and other sources (Fitria, 2022; Fitriana et al., 2019). Integrating Islamic contextual authentic material into English language learning can help students develop English language skills while strengthening their understanding of Islamic values in a global context. This study examines the integration of Islamic contextual authentic materials into English Language Learning for students of Islamic Community Development at the State Islamic University (UIN) Datokarama Palu, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews with two lecturers and nineteen students. The findings indicated that authentic materials grounded in Islamic contexts, such as the Qur’an and Hadith, videos, Islamic songs, and English texts on social issues related to Islamic themes, enhance students’ motivation, improve their linguistic skills, and strengthen their spiritual identity. However, challenges include a lack of suitable materials and difficulty balancing linguistic authenticity with religious sensitivity. The study recommends structured teacher training, institutional repositories of Islamic authentic materials, and curriculum guidelines aligning English learning with Islamic community development competencies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji pengaruh pengetahun dan literasi digital terhadap minat menggunakan mobile banking syariah. Sampel penelitian ini mahasiwa UIN Datokarama Palu angkatan 2022 yang ditentukan secara purposive. Tehnik analisis yaitu analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil pengujian pernyataan kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa validitas, realibilitas dan asumsi klasik memenuhi ketentuan standar nilai. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa pengetahun dan literasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minta menggunakan mobile banking syariah.

Abstract

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) plays a crucial role in preparing students of Islamic Library and Information Science (ILIS) to access global resources, understand international cataloguing standards, engage with digital information systems, and participate in global academic discourse. However, students’ interest in English learning in many Indonesian Islamic higher education institutions remains limited, often due to language anxiety, limited exposure, and perceived irrelevance to their disciplinary identity. This study seeks to investigate the potential for pedagogical integration of interpersonal intelligence into ESP instruction with the aim of raising student engagement and the subject matter relevance in English learning. Adopting a qualitative case study design, the research was conducted in an ILIS English classroom at UIN Datokarama Palu. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with 18 students, and analysis of instructional documents. The data were analysed using thematic analysis involving open, axial, and selective coding procedures, with methodological triangulation to ensure credibility and analytical rigor. The findings reveal that interpersonal intelligence-based strategies such as peer collaboration, dialog interaction, group problem solving, and socially mediated feedback significantly increase students’ engagement, self-confidence, and willingness to use English, as well as create a positive learning environment. More significantly, embedding ILIS specific disciplinary tasks within collaborative activities strengthens students’ professional identity and situational relevance awareness, thereby transforming English learning into a socially mediated and career-oriented practice. This study contributes to ESP scholarship by proposing an identity-integrated interpersonal framework that connects socio-emotional interaction with disciplinary discourse practices. Although limited to a single institutional context, the findings offer empirical insight into how socially constructed ESP environments can sustain engagement and professional readiness in Islamic higher education settings.
