Abstract

The background of this research by the students lack of understanding of mathematic concept and the low mathematics achievement of students of class IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematic concept by applying cooperatif learning style type group investigation with using students work sheet better than students understanding of mathematic concept that apply to conventional teaching class IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. This type of reseach is experimental. Population is all students grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman. Technique of random sampling IX.2 as experimental class and IX.1 as control class. Instrument used was the ultimate test with indicator of understanding the concept. Form used is the essay test was 8 items with a reliabiity of 0,86. Technique data analysis used was -test because data not homogeneity. Based on the hypothesis test obtained value = 2,48 and t = 0,17. So, t’ > t. So the hypotesis is accept at the 95% confidence level. So it is concluded that the students understanding of mathematic concept by applying cooperatif learning style type group investigation with using students work sheet better than students understanding of mathematic concept that apply to conventional teaching class IX SMP Negeri 3 Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman.

Abstract

Children’s learning while at home requires guidance from parents. One of them is in the use of gadgets and parental knowledge as the main factor in developing children’s literacy skills. The ability of children’s literacy is the ability to read. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of parental education on children’s reading literacy skills during pandemics. The method used in this study is quantitative method. The data were collected by using questionnaire, observation, and interviews. The results of the study are that parental education has an influence on early childhood reading literacy skills in pandemic times. Parental education plays a role in helping children in learning, especially in improving children’s reading skills. Learning can be applied through storytelling activities.

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa belajar berbasis animasi terhadap kemampuan representasi khususnya soal matematika kurang dalam penggunaannya saat proses pembelajaran merupakan hal yang harus diperhatikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video berbasis animasi terhadap kemampuan representasi siswa sekolah menengah pertama dan menguji kualitasnya berdasarkan valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE ( Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswakelas VII SMP Daarul Falaah yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Teknis pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, angket dan test uraian. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi ahli, angket respon dan tes kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Teknis analisis data dalam penelitianini menggunakan Uji T Dua Sampel Berpasangan  dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peniliain video animasi oleh ahli mendapat nilai sebesar 83% dengan kategori sangat valid atau sangat layak untuk dicoba. Hasil angket respon guru dan siswa diperoleh rata-rata skor siswa dan guru adalah 86% sehingga termasuk kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dan analisis N-Gain memperoleh hasil 6,87 yang menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan representasi siswa dalam kategori sedang sehingga dinyatakan efektif.

Abstract

Kaempferia angustifolia originated in Southeast Asia and is widely used for its medicinal properties. One of which is from its flavonoids. The research aims to determine the optimal dosage of organic and inorganic fertilizers for promoting the growth and flavonoid production of K. angustifolia. The study was laid out in a split-plot design using organic fertilizers as the main plots (chicken and cow manure at 10 t.ha-1) and inorganic fertilizers as the subplots, consisting of 19 combinations of urea, SP36, and KCl. Each treatment has three replications.  The results showed that there is no interaction between organic and inorganic fertilizers in affecting the growth of Kaempferia angustifolia. Plants treated with chicken manure at 10 tons per hectare have a higher fresh weight than those treated with cow manure. Plants without inorganic fertilizer application showed suppressed growth and yielded more rhizomes three months after planting. Inorganic fertilizer promoted more shoots and tillers, with the highest value obtained from 100 kg.ha-1 urea + 200 kg.ha-1 SP36 + 200 kg.ha-1 KCl application.   The range of total flavonoids in inorganic fertilizer applications is 39.30-131.51% higher than the control, with the highest value observed at 200 kg.ha-1 SP36 + 200 kg.ha-1 KCl application. The results of this study would be useful for producing K. angustifolia for the medicinal industry, using either organic or inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran diharapkan siswa dapat meningkatkan minat belajar selama pembelajaran sehingga hasil belajar optimal. Adapun beberapa model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray dan The Power Of Two yg dapat melatih siswa dalam meningkatkan kerja sama dalam kelompok dan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpendapat. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini apakah hasil belajar IPS terpadu menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran The Power Of Two pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri3 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS terpadu yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran The Power of Two pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 59 siswa.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling, diambil hanya dua kelas yakni kelas VIII-8 sebanyak 30 siswa dan kelas VIII-9 sebanyak 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa pemberian test kepada siswa, yakni pretest dan postest. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan uji-t. Hasil pengolahan data penelitian diperoleh thitung = 0,69 dan ttabel = 1,67 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk = 57, artinya thitung ttabel sehingga hipotesis alternatif Ha ditolak. Artinya tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan pemberlakuan dengan metode pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan pemberlakuan dengan metode pembelajaran The Power Of Two di SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh.Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Two Stay Two Stray, The Power Of Two, IPS terpadu

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the interactive learning media Wordwall in enhancing students’ learning motivation in the topic of ratios among sixth grade students at SD. The background of this research stems from the low levels of interest and motivation among students in mathematics learning, which tends to be monotonous and teacher centerer. The use of Wordwall is also expected to create a more engaging and interactive learning environment, encouraging the students’ active participation through a gamification based approach. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 32 sixth-grade students and one teacher as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews, and analyzed using a triangulation method to validate findings from multiple sources. The results indicate that the use of Wordwall effectively increases students’ motivation, creativity, and competitive spirit. Based on these findings, this study recommends that Wordwall to be implemented in elementary schools as an innovative and effective learning tool to prevent student boredom during lessons.
